Hi guys! It's officially fall, although it does not feel like it here in Los Angeles.
While I can't do anything about the weather outside,
I thought I'd start getting the inside of our house ready for the season
with these fun and super simple DIY room sprays.
They'll have your house smelling and feeling ready for fall in just a few minutes.
Here's what you'll need to get started.
Some distilled water, witch hazel, and some fragrance or essential oils.
We're going to start with six ounces of distilled water.
You could also use regular tap water, but this will make it last a little longer.
Next, we're going to add two ounces of witch hazel,
which will help with the solubility between the water and your oils.
And if you don't have or don't want to use witch hazel,
I've linked a couple options in the description below.
And then give it all a quick stir.
The base of our spray is complete, and now for the fun part, we're going to create our scent.
I'm using a combination of fragrance and essential oils that I love,
but when mixing together, I always like to test out a couple drops on a cotton ball first.
Simply dip in your solution, and then just add a drop or two of each of your oils,
and take a whiff.
Oh my gosh, this smells so good.
It literally smells like a pumpkin pie baking in my oven,
which there definitely is not.
And now we're ready to add our oils in for real.
I'm putting about 20 drops of each,
but this can vary depending on the potency of your essential oils.
I recommend stirring and smelling as you go to make sure you're on the right track.
All right, our solution is complete, and now it's time to pour it into a bottle.
I'm using these glass amber spray bottles that I thought were so pretty.
And then I'm going to finish it off with these decorative labels I printed out.
Chalkboard stickers are another great option.
And we're done.
Let's give it a quick shake and a spray.
Oh my gosh, it smells amazing.
It seriously smells like I just baked a pie.
It smells beautiful.
I promise this will leave your house smelling so fresh and delicious,
even in the smelliest of areas.
They also look really cute sitting on a shelf.
And these two-ounce bottles are perfect for smaller spaces like bathrooms or to give as gifts.
All right, guys, we're loving our new room spray and how delicious our house smells.
Tell me in the comments below if there are any DIYs you want to see this holiday season.
What's that, Calvin?
And we'll see you next Friday.
Bye, guys.
This is going to be for Calvin's stinky diapers.
It smells like pumpkin pie.
