Hello friends! I hope you are having a gentle start of the new year! Here in the Netherlands January met us with unexpected frost, and I've been spending most of my days at home, curled in my comfy armchair, reading books about magic forests, and yearning for the nature walks. And since this dreadful weather does leave any chance for going into the woods and getting lost among pine trees, listening to the whisper of the wind, I decided to dedicate my next art projects to the themes of nature and forest. In todays video we will be embracing the forestcore aesthetics and bringing forest indoors with many botanical art and craft projects and lovely nature-inspired decorations. I've been thinking about doing a bit of refreshing and redecorating of my studio after Christmas, and it's a good opportunity to do just so. Stay with me for this little adventure of bringing the spirit of the forest cabin into my little creative corner!

Materials and resources:
1. Florarium. I used some basic greenhouse-themed glass container, some soil, a few selected plants, crystals and dry moss for decoration.

2. Moss-filled frame. You will need any frame (I used a rustic wooden one), cardboard base matching the size of your frame, dry moss, polymer clay and paints (I used gouache and sealed them with spray-varnish after painting, but you can use acrylics as well, just make sure they don't react with the clay and don't make it sticky).

3. Botanical wall art. You will need a frame, watercolor paper, gold plates and gilding adhesive, watercolor paints, brushes, handwriting imitation stamps, paper tape and dressed fern leaves. I created a mossy green frame with gilded edges and used umber and ochre for the fill to create a vintage look. You can avoid using the stamps and just make a lil hand-written description of ferns instead.

4. Fern-embossed clay wall art. You will need air-drying clay, green-colored cotton paper, acrylic & watercolor paints, brushes, glue and a selected frame.
