We surfed at the WORLD JR CHAMPS in Brazil for team Switzerland!

Heading out to Brazil 2023 junior world champs. Me and Billy flying off from Switzerland. It's gonna be nuts. Let's go. Let's have a good time. They print my message in the side of the sun. This is what I love to do the most, to officially declare open the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. South Africa, Chile and Switzerland out in the water now. Look at this one. Great looking wave in front of Celia from Switzerland. She had that first opportunity and she fell. She's going down on the second one as well. She was having a go though. That was courageous. And Celia now up and riding as well for both of these girls. Finding their best waves in the final minute here which shows they're eager, they're keen, they want to be in this contest. Bro, what are you doing? No, just walk. No, no, no. Less is more. Remember that. Tenchi Iwami, Jose Imorales, Antoine Habashi and Le Du Rosario. They've been around for a long time now and so far so good. Team Japan has most of their surfers through here in the main round. Here goes Antoine Habashi representing Team Switzerland. Like that line he took through the inside. Smart thing is, try to do this, improve on your score under his priority. This kid surfs great. Right now he's showing us two big turns on the outside section. Fights for the third, gets it. That was huge right now too. Big confidence booster right there. You can see the relief and stoke. This one is a little bit of a slow burn to start. But we know things are going to start to amplify. We see Liam now on his backhand. Kind of quick snap there. Second snap was vertical. Threw a lot of spray. And the third one goes up and into it. But just loses his edge. Yeah Jake! We're actually in Archipelago Of islands off the coast of Africa. Obviously with the swell. Not being exactly what we hoped for. It's not really the best competition there could be. But in my heat. I think I surfed well. My strategies were good. I just unfortunately didn't land my last little turn. Honestly I did think I landed it. But that's the judges perspective. Judges point of view. Commentators thought you made it too. You see him kind of stand straight up signifying to the judges. I got it. I got this one. It's ok. We live, we learn. And we get stronger from our mistakes. And next time I'll just make sure I bare my knees just a little harder. What are you going to take away from your mistakes in your heat? Probably use priority better. Just smarter surfing. Go big. Alimentation and stuff like this? My routine? Before my heat? No, in general. Well, the thing is we're in Switzerland. So my routine, I was literally surfing river waves for practice. Just like before we left, there was a good water flow and yeah. We had some really good river waves. But it wasn't really the ideal practice for this. Ok, ok. Sorry. What was that? That was crazy, bro. What a performance. That was heavy, bro. He literally jumped like two meters. That's crazy. I don't know if you realize, guys. This man is... Maybe the future of the Swiss nation. What do you think about the Swiss surfing team? Ok, so they're like a little weird people. I lost my prio in the closeout. That's what made me lose the heat. The f***ing prio cost me the heat. Just an experience and learn about my learn about my failures and do better next year.
