The latest freedom ranking by Fraser Institute and CATO institute shows Hong Kong has fallen down from its number 4 in 2010 to 29 in 2020 and now 46. The loss of freedom in Hong Kong through CCP's policy of tightening its control over Hong Kong has also led to communist China lost Hong Kong and thereby lost the trust of the world.

The CCP thought they can replace Hong Kong's elite with main-landers. But it won't work as the system of rule of law and freedom are lost. Hong Kong's chief executive claims that Hong Kong having China as the strong backing will make Hong Kong great again. A China in economic and political crisis will not help Hong Kong but rather drag Hong Kong into a deeper crisis.
