STATE CHAMPION!

today we are on the road going to Bakersfield California because Parker has a gymnastics meet today and I think it's like the state finals or something like that so he's a little nervous about it we're gonna go I think to a farm and do some berry picking and stuff like that so it's it's just gonna be a fun day and we're gonna end the day off with uh with that competition [Music] thanks [Music] good morning everyone we're stopping here at the Black Bear Diner to have some lunch let's eat some delicious food [Music] it's a baby rail [Music] oh [Music] Black Bear Diner is a place we often go to McDonald's when we're on a road trip I think those are real bears those are those are Bears behind him the menu here is like a newspaper it is amazing I love it Luke and me have this is sitting next to me [Music] are you a Black Bear Diner yeah are you gonna get some eggs no no what are you gonna eat today you're gonna get this giant thing [Music] no Luke I think I know what I'm getting you see a bear is appreciated in the Bears you like the bears bear what does a bear say oh teddy bear another thing that I really like here is they have three different hot sauces in different heat amounts baby burn Mama burn and my personal favorite papa bird I just wanted to say I love this whole thing is this ear hair I think no no that's his ear your hair the eyes are the two chocolate chips right here I'm your hair I love that yes this is ear hair from now on also sorry you don't get your like little hair thing I did ate it already oh you finished yours oh you ready for your pancakes I'll be there that's a happy bear oh boy so I noticed that all of the Bears didn't have mouth so we ended up spending more time at lunch than we thought we were going to so we're going to a different Farm than what we had planned because that one's further away from the competition but this is the same company this is the purple barn and the other one's the red barn and they've got the like pick your own stuff the other one is the Big Red Barn and this is the little purple barn and the Big Red Barn had a bunch of events today for spring that like they had picnics and they had you pick and all kinds of things so the other one had like a hayride and all these activities this one I don't know it's a mystery I couldn't find much information about it except that it's smaller and we'll have less so and it's on the way so that was the important thing so let's check it out let's check out the little uh purple Barn [Music] okay so the farm was uh not as Hands-On as we thought it was going to be it was more like a Fruit Stand we got some honey it was pretty good and uh and now we are at the gym this is actually a really really cool gym Parker's gonna start by uh doing a warm-up and uh and then we'll see him compete I'm really excited it's gonna be a lot of fun [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] it's it's very stiff it's very hard to jump on it's not like a trampoline at all it's so hard so is it different than the one at your gym it's stiffer and it's either it's either more stiffer or it's more bouncy or it's the same exact thing but you have to get used to every single Gym's equipment so that you can like actually do your routine and I'm never going to get used to some of the equipment that's here what are you worried about the double mini the double mini what's wrong with it last time I kind of like failed uh and so I feel like this time I'm gonna fail like really bad because it's so stiff and you cannot bail and bounce on it and it's like how am I supposed to do my passes I can't even do it the second pass you just did was great yeah but except I bet my knees so that I killed my bounce but it felt like my bounce was already killed because I couldn't bounce and the trampolines are almost the same they're really nice this one's really nice it's not as good as the one that's at my gym it's probably because I got used to the one at my gym and I haven't gotten used to this one but I just I like my gym the best are you guys ready to cheer Parker on are you gonna clap for Parker excellent so we have these little veggie Hearts they're so cute and I loaded them into this little snack thing that's kind of like a game of guess who but you can push this button and get the snacks [Music] and it's super fun and and then when he gets older I'll actually have it be a matching game so I'll have like I don't know the veggie heart and a veggie heart in one area and then you can eat the things that match and just make it a total game I like this I it's a new thing that I just purchased and I actually got a second one for our speech therapist it just as a gift because it's something that can be used in speech or occupational therapy it's kind of cool so I'm excited about that [Applause] so I don't know the name of it right now because I left the box at home but if you are interested just write in the comments and I will look and see what it's called when we get home [Music] [Music] okay warm-ups are now done and they are going to March out they get one more practice run before they actually compete and then the next one counts they're doing their last practice run they're gonna do two different passes Parker's starting on the double mini which is like a weird tilted trampoline place so they're gonna do two practice runs on that two different routines and then it's the real deal [Music] all right he's probably a little nervous now because he wasn't supposed to do that second little jump but for a dismounted that's what he did last competition he was at hopefully when he actually does it he's got enough power to get off the trampoline without that extra little jump relax yeah Parker all right that was pass number one did pretty well I thought it looked pretty good we'll see what the score is about though oh yeah you look pretty happy after that one and the last score was pretty good too so go Parker yeah we're gonna see what the score is on the screen Parker looked pretty happy with that score and now he's moving over to trampoline so he's good he only has one routine on trampoline so he's gonna do one practice run and then the real thing [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] yeah we we switched locations so we could see the trampoline routine better so he did his practice now he's gonna do the real deal are you liking the gymnastics so far yeah is it fun yeah is Parker doing a good job did you get to meet anybody cool here any celebrities [Music] who is that yeah Easter bunny Hi Easter Bunny [Applause] are you gonna give a high five gonna give a high five high five [Applause] you met the Easter Bunny it's over there oh yeah Easter Bunny's collecting raffle tickets the Easter Bunny's in an egg yeah it is silly that one's so silly that Easter Bunny is so silly [Music] oh here he goes here he goes [Music] thank you [Music] all right we're at the last event which is tumbling there are two different routines they're gonna practice both of those and then they're going to do them for real it's like the other routine Duncan came up here and lost his shoe through this through the bleacher and I had to go get it and I missed the first pass of Parker's practice it was just a practice we'll catch the real thing [Music] all right the practice runs are complete time for the real deal [Music] yeah Parker [Music] [Applause] four double mini level five your state champion Parker Ballinger yeah Parker salute yeah and tumbling level four ages nine through ten door state champion Parker Ballinger salute in second place Parker Ballinger [Applause] [Music] oh my goodness who's a state champion state champion and guess what what Mommy and I got you a little something she just dropped it on the ground but it shakes off look at this yeah it's it says the Championships and then look at this point custom made just for you sir that's your shirt congratulations you did so great today thank you I love you it looks like we're gonna go in a big SpongeBob it does it really does what do you think of this place I don't know you don't know are you happy or are you sad you're happy you like it here is that cool oh we don't know what this place is we saw it on the way in to the gymnastics meeting we were like let's check that out for dinner you gonna eat pizza [Music] how was the ride [Music] at John's and uh that was a lot of fun I feel a little um over a century from being in there but it's really fun I'm so proud of Parker for what he did today there he goes and uh we have points on our card and we're actually gonna stay the night here so in the next video we're gonna be doing a museum I don't know anything about it and maybe we'll come back here and spend the rest of our tickets our
