Highlights: Tottenham Hotspur - Burnley | Emirates FA Cup 2023/2024

Burnley have lost ten of the last 11 games at Spurs, but they've started quite brightly here. He's on a man! Parried away by Vicario, worthwhile having a go, lacked a little bit of power and conviction. Comfortable in the end for Vicario, he's having a decent first season in the Spurs' goal. Spurs look good, John's seen quite a lot of the ball in these opening exchanges. He'll go for goal, and it's parried away by Nuric on his FA Cup debut. The standing Burnley goalkeeper did well. O'Shea, decent sofa, oh, he's caught in possession there, though. Here's Richarlison, big chance for Spurs. Dragged it poorly, on his weaker left foot. Lacked conviction with it, big opportunity for Spurs to take the lead. Modabear, here's an opportunity, Branduni! Oh, big opportunity, must score, doesn't! A wasteful... One of the best moves of the game, this, a little nutmeg. Up and over, Branduni in, Flagstaff down, failed to get the crisp first touch and over it went. Here's where the chance went, though, for me. This touch, here. Leaning off it, he sent it over. Spurs have been the better side at the start of this second half. Here's Kulishevski, opened his body, went for it. 50 minutes gone, wide of goal it goes. Spurs beginning to dominate now. Now Selsa, Udoge, what a breakthrough season he's having. Johnson, what a good game he's had, promising. No end product. Easy for the big 6ft6in goalkeeper. Keeler's made a difference since coming on. On to the left-hand side, Johnson is coming on to the right, and coming in off the right! You've got to keep it down, parried away by Maric once again. Half a dozen efforts in the game now, Johnson. Spurs can't find a way through. Stays nil-nil. Charlottesville, it's cut back to Johnson. Ooh! Was that a foul by Brownhill? Takes a cursory glance at the top-hand player. Was there contact? If so, how much? Maybe hit the undersole of his boot there, didn't get much of the ball. From this angle, Spurs had a claim, the referee was well-positioned. VAR said, no spot kit. Kuliszewski, is this the time they get the breakthrough? They've been pouring it on, Richarlison in the middle. All the way to the far post, it was a great run in there. Maric comes and claims. Spurs frustrated again, but they couldn't hold it up there, Burnley. Here's Porro, with an extraordinary goal, his first of the season. Worth waiting for. Sheer power beat Maric in the goal. Brilliant effort. Here comes Spurs again, Scarlett off the bench, there's Sessegnon in there. First game in nearly a year. Looked a little bit rusty there. It's been bright since he came on. Sessegnon's in space. Sessegnon! Certainly rusty. Great to see him back. Wide of the goal it went. Keeper got something on it, he's had a fine game. Can Burnley create late danger? He missed a great chance in the first half, he's missed that one. Burnley go out, and Spurs through again.
