Traditional Korean Street Food at Gwangjang Market!
Hey guys, it's Kim Dao here. Welcome back to my vlog channel.
Today is my first day in Korea with Nongshim.
So it's early in the morning. I woke up at around 8.30am to get ready,
do my hair and makeup and now it's 9am.
I'm gonna go down and get breakfast with everyone so let's go.
Okay, we're gonna get into the van now.
We are in the van now. It's really fancy and comfortable.
Like these seats, they recline all the way back so we can just take a nap.
What about our seats?
Yeah, they do.
Oh, actually?
Yeah.
We have a sunroof.
You want to do it again?
Okay.
One more time for good luck?
The air is really bad, really unhealthy and it's suggesting us to wear a mask.
And apparently it goes to the red which is already bad then it goes to the purple.
But the main of Seoul is alright so it's just the area we're in
where it must be like this pocket of dust.
Our first stop is the Gwangjang Market.
I was actually here last month but I went at night time so it's gonna be different
to see it during the day.
I kind of want to get one.
These ones are like super cheap as well, they're really...
I've got one of these ones at home.
Yeah, I kind of want one.
These ones are like any Korean TV show,
you always see them cooking ramen in one of these.
It's like always the gold.
Now...
Oh my god.
It's so good, right?
So much street food here, it's one of the oldest markets in Korea.
And it's really cool seeing it in the daytime because everything is open.
At night time, only the street food's open.
Alright, let's do it.
Oh, this is like...
So it's just described as very spicy.
I'm...
Look at this on my mouth.
It's not that bad.
It's like burning a hole through my tongue.
Oh, that's got like a...
You had a bit though.
It's not that bad but it's coming, it comes in waves.
It comes in, yeah.
Oh, that heats up your whole mouth.
It's good.
But I had a whole tiny bit.
Oh, they put an egg in there too.
Perfect.
We were given some money so we can eat some street food.
So we have a bit of free time and we get to walk around the market to eat street food.
I am with Sarah and Johnny.
That's like...
Have you shown where they ground the mung beans right in front of...
There's cheese and honey inside here.
So we can do the thing.
So cute.
We are actually up a mountain and there's a cute cafe here.
We are at our next location and we are going to be doing a Korean cooking class.
With Shin Ramyun.
Oh my gosh!
Yay!
I wanted one.
This is so cool.
I'm so happy.
There's fancy ones.
And they have handles so you don't burn your hands off as well.
We can eat our noodles.
Yes.
I am back in the hotel now.
And okay, it's getting a little bit late.
Well, not really.
It's nine o'clock.
But I really want to go take a shower and wash my hair because it's getting really gross.
I like to let my hair air dry.
So yeah, if I wash it now, then hopefully in a couple of hours,
it can dry and then I can go to sleep early-ish.
So yeah, today was so much fun, guys.
Ate lots of good food.
And it's great because it's legitimately one of my favorite things to eat.
So yeah, I'm just happy that I get to eat one of my favorite foods on this trip every single day.
But yeah, I'm gonna end this video here so I can shower like I said.
So thank you so much guys for watching.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I will see you guys in the next one.
Bye, guys.
