Shed Lock Review & Installation From YARDLOCK

all right y today I'm going to be replacing this shed latch with the shed [Music] lock my work pro utility knife that's everything looks pretty simple let's do this all right we're going to mark on the back side all lined up boom all right I'm put a little one by two here just to close up that Gap a little [Music] bit you need the inside holes to hit Lumber as well first hole pre-drilled here pretty spot on right there there we go so that's how you want this bracket to [Music] sit okay so we need to [Music] all right now we got to drill 38 inch hole right through the center of that square plastic bracket on the right side we got it all the way through here pad loock is preset to zero so you can put your own combination in there let so just run the cable through here to tighten this cable on you just loosen up these two screws right here there we go one and two now the cables come through just like that you pull on the cable as tight as you can okay as tight as you possibly can come on here we go guess you got to wiggle it a little bit but yeah so you pull it around just like that and then tighten down the second screw okay when this drops down the cable pulls the latch and then it'll open the door for you it's pretty nice mechanism there I really like that that is what it should look like at the end this is how it should function just push this latch from the inside opens up the door all right and from the outside I'll show you here all right that closes it but but once you drop that it opens the door and then to close it you just push that guy back up and you're good to go and on the outside I can close it and scramble the numbers now it's locked so no one can open it from the outside all right it's locked and the only person that can open it is me from the inside it's locked baby all right all right quick overview since it got dark last night once you install this Square plate with this bracket you're ready to install this side here and then you just again install the square plate with just these two screws then drill a 38 in hole right through the center so you can get the cable from the latch through your door then on the outside here pull that cable through loosen up both of these screws run that cable through and then you Loop it around and it goes under the cable and it just kind of sits there like that pretty simple you got four screws to hold the padlock in place and then just set up your password it locks the latch back into place when you have the keypad up pull the keypad down and it opens up the latch really like it very simple to install and it's great for your studio or shed follow for more tools Tech DIYs and deals
