(Serie A 2023/2024): Highlights EMPOLI - LAZIO

Luis Alberto Zacchani could be in here. Back with Luis Alberto. Can he finish? Cleared off the line by Luperto. And now Zacchani. It's a real golf-mouth scramble. And Gendouzi does bundle it home. The Frenchman scores his first league goal for Lazio. He's up and running in the cup. And now he scores his first in Serie A for the Bianco Celesti. Margilla in there quick. Now Cirimobile offloads. Gendouzi for a second. Caprile charging off his line. Here goes Bastoni. Got the lift over the wall, Simone Bastoni. Humberto Grassi. Goes for goal, Grassi. And very nearly in. Provodel. Wrong footed, but he recovered the Lazio keeper to preserve the Bianco Celesti's narrow lead. Played in by Fazzini. Daniel Maldini on the volley. Acrobatic clearance from Pellegrini to get it away to safety. Maldini recovers well. Kambiaghi. Simone Bastoni with the pullback and then Kambiaghi! And Provodel once again to the rescue for Lazio. Kambiaghi can't quite believe it. Kambiaghi. Daniel Maldini still with Daniel Maldini. And it's the same old story. Empoli denied by Provodel. Gennduzzi. Zacchagni. Still with Zacchagni! And then a basking! Mathieu Zacchagni tucks it home! And Lazio, against the run of play, have their second. Isakson has support. Still with Isakson, off loads. Pedro Castellanos, surely! Caprile. Wonderful save from him. On his return to the side. Marizio Sarri's men restore winning ways. Final squad, the Castellani. Empoli nil. Lazio two.
