New York City | Hayden Planetarium Part Of The Museum Of Natural History. Stars, Planets & Shops!
Hey everybody it's Jeff from New York and today we are back in New York City on the Upper West
Side of Manhattan. We're going to visit the Hayden Planetarium today. The Hayden Planetarium is
attached to the Museum of Natural History. It's been one of my favorite places to visit
even as a child. I came here on a school trip, a field trip, and it got me so involved in the
planets and the stars and astronomy and I think I knew all my planets before I knew all my ABCs and
huge impact and I've been visiting ever since I was a child and it's still to this day one
of my favorite places to visit. The main entrance to the Hayden Planetarium is located on the
northern side of the museum on 81st Street near Central Park West in Manhattan's Upper West Side
as I said. We're going to take a walk around the inside and this is one of those New York City
Vault videos from the New York Channel. It's previously been published here on YouTube
about a year and a half, two years ago, maybe even a bit longer than that. Kind of got lost
in the shuffle and I wanted to bring it back to show you guys how beautiful this place is.
Even if you're not a fan of astronomy, it's a great place. You'd be amazed at how much
you can learn here and become interested in the skies and the stars and the planets and everything
and spend a couple hours here and if you have all day or even a weekend, which would be even better,
the Museum of Natural History, as I said, is attached to this building and that would be
a fantastic day spent on a rainy cold day or something like that. So,
enjoy your visit to the Hayden Planetarium and let's take a walk around, shall we?
