Welcome to Zermatt, Switzerland also known as the true winter wonderland and the most expensive town in the world. This beautiful little ski resort town is located just a few hours away from Zurich by train and is the home of the Matterhorn.
If like like skiing, Zermatt won many awards as the best ski resort in the world. But no need to ski to appreciated this place. the mountains, the snow, the beautiful little restaurants and overall feel of the town makes it all worth the visit.
with that being said, Switzerland is the most expensive country in the world and Zermatt is no exception.
With that being said, we highly suggest a visit which can be as simple as going up in a cable car to the Matterhorn, enjoying the views before eating a delicious cheese fondu before going back to a cozy chalet style hotel for the night.
