is located between Central Europe and the Adriatic Sea. A country known for receiving
a large number of tourists yearly because they have a great combination of attractions
ranging from beautiful beaches, nearby islands, national parks, and it's also a country of great
history and culture. Without further ado let's get to know the top 10. Number 10 Zagreb. The capital
of Croatia is one of the oldest cities in Central Europe. Zagreb is known for its high-level public
buildings, its squares, beautiful gardens, and large parks. All of these things made the Croatian
capital one of the most impressive cities in Europe. Unlike other places, tourism in this
city is designed to step out, walk through the streets, be among the crowds, go to restaurants
and shopping malls. The famous blue trains will move you throughout the city reaching more than
20 theaters, around 30 museums, 45 galleries, and 13 art collections. Zagreb is undoubtedly what we
would consider a great metropolis. Number nine Korčula Island. It's one of the islands of the Adriatic
Sea with coasts on the south made up of beaches and caves. To access the island you'll have to
travel from Split and Dubrovnik by ferry. The island maintains some medieval traditions such
as night dances. If you visit Korčula at Easter you'll enjoy numerous deeply rooted religious
processions in the area. A curious fact about this city is that it's said that Marco Polo, the famous
traveler who came to China and Mongolia, was born here. The latter has one of the most famous museums
in the area. If you want to visit beaches you can go to Puknatska Luka where scuba diving is practiced
or also visit the towns of Brna, Prizba, and Potirna. Number eight Kirka National Park.
If you're in the city of Sibenik you cannot miss a visit to the Kirka National Park.
It's a charming park where you can enjoy its fauna and flora as well as its wonderful views
joined by waterfalls. In order to access the park the starting port is in Skradi.
There you'll find a very famous waterfall where most usually bathe before the boat trip.
On this tour many also take the opportunity to go to the Kirka monastery.
You can also visit the catacombs known to be ancient Roman remains.
Number seven Rovinj. A city located on the northern coast of the Istrian peninsula
known for its beautiful landscape. It's a small town and it's very close to the Italian port of
which explains the presence of a considerable Italian community.
The city of Rovinj is known for souvenir shopping by tourists due to the different arts. The houses
are usually brightly colored and there are also buildings lining the coast. Of the most visited
places are the church of Saint Euphemia and also a visit to the Rovinj aquarium which is more than
a century old where you can find species such as the poisonous scorpion fish.
Number six Zadar. A city on the Dalmatian coast that goes into the Adriatic sea.
A perfect place if you want to enjoy an atmosphere full of history and at the same time be in
contact with the sea. A city that stands out for having beautiful Romanesque churches and where
you can get to know the area where the old Zadar cathedral is located and in turn the old wall
where a Roman city once grew. In Zadar you can visit religious monuments,
enjoy the sunset on the coast and see its beautiful streets. Remember you can't miss
going to the sea organ. There are large marble steps that join together with a system of pipes
that allow you to hear the sound of the waves in the form of music so you can sit and relax.
Number five Haag island. Haag island is located to the north of Zadar. It's undoubtedly one of
the largest islands in Croatia and therefore the one with the longest coastline. One of the most
historic communities in Haag is Novalje. What makes it a tourist center are all of its connections
to the Romans of which an aqueduct and three early Christian basilicas stand out.
Recently the island of Haag has become the Ibiza of Croatia receiving tourists of all ages
mainly in the summer where you'll find clubs and places to dance near the beach.
Not to forget about its gastronomy you should enjoy the cheap cheese and the salted lamb.
Number four Telačica. The Telačica national park is located on the island of Otava.
It was declared a nature park in 1988 thanks to its flora, fauna, archaeology and wonderful sea.
There are around 500 species of plants and animals in the park. In the sea that runs through the park
there is only one mammal the bottlenose dolphin which is amazing because they come together to
swim and do chores. Other activities that can be done in the park are scuba diving thanks to the
beauty and variety of the seabed, walking the trails where you can appreciate the protected
areas and the wonderful views of the park and also boat tours which are available to all of the
tourists. Number three Split. Split is without a doubt one of the best cities to visit in Croatia.
One of the most striking areas of this country and also one of the most visited by tourists.
If you're going to visit the islands of Croatia you must go to Split since it's the strategic
point that connects them. From here you can take the ferry to those points.
You can also choose to stay in this same city and enjoy its architecture such as the palaces,
churches and the delicious Croatian cuisine. On the other hand if you want to learn about its history
something that is essential when traveling the Europe you should visit the Diocletian's palace
where you'll learn from the times of the Roman Empire to the present day.
Number two Plitvice National Park. Located in the town of Lika it's a national park in Croatia
and has a total of 16 lakes. The park also has streams and waterfalls with the latter
reaching up to 76 meters of freefall. Add that to its amazing forest and the result is a breathtaking
park. It's almost impossible to see a landscape like this with the combination of green trees,
the sound of the water with its transparent and crystalline color, its light blue color in the
lakes, its immense number of waterfalls and the foam in the water make Plitvice National Park
a wonderful work of nature. In 1979 UNESCO declared Plitvice National Park a World Heritage Site.
It's considered one of the most beautiful places in all of Europe and it's for this reason
that a visit to Croatia without going to Plitvice would be incomplete.
Number one Dubrovnik. The town of Dubrovnik is known as a monument city and it's characterized
by being surrounded by defensive walls. Visitors to Dubrovnik come to walk through its streets
which are made of marble and are mostly alleys that resemble labyrinths. Among the activities
that take place in Dubrovnik are visiting several museums such as the well-known Rector's Palace,
taking a cable car to visit Mount Sirte and if you're one of those who want a beach you can't
miss out on going to Sveti Jakov. The main attraction of Dubrovnik is still walking along
its walls. It's the structure that's most appreciated by tourists with gigantic walls
that extend out to the sea. Remember to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss out
