The historic Brick Row and famous Frank Kimball House in National City, California

In 1868 British architect Frank Kimball built the first house in what was then called Rancho de la Nation. It's a stately Victorian style building that was even visited by aa couple of U.S. Presidents and is not home of the National City Historical Society.

The Kimball House is across Kimball Block, also known as "Brick Row," a block of Eastern-style flats that was completed in 1887 at the then considerable cost of $22,000 and is now a historic site, located on A Avenue in National City.
