Are you ready to experience the best of Milan? In this video we are going to guide you through
the city and show you must-see attractions. Top restaurants, mouth-watering street food places,
an amazing rooftop bar, and a buzzing nightlife scene. You are in the right place. This is True
North Voyages and we are here to give you an inside look of all that Milan has to offer for
one unforgettable holiday. When you're in Milan the first stop has to be the Duomo di Milano.
It's not just any old church, it's a giant marble masterpiece that took nearly 600 years to finish.
You can buy a ticket to go inside and trust us it's worth it. The inside is just as majestic
as the outside with huge stained glass windows and lots of quiet little corners. If you're up
for a little climb you can even go right up to the top. The view from up there, absolutely amazing.
You can see the whole city stretching out around you. But here's a tip, try to get there early in
the morning. It gets super busy later on and you don't want to spend your whole trip to Milan
standing in line, right? Right next to the Duomo is a spot that's as photogenic as it is historic,
the Galleria. Built in the late 1800s, this place is like the granddaddy of all shopping malls.
It's an iron and glass-covered passage that's home to a parade of luxury boutiques, fancy
coffee shops, and restaurants that serve up a feast for the senses. The Galleria isn't just
about shopping, it's about experiencing the grandeur of Milanese life in the lap of luxury.
After soaking in the opulence of the Galleria, it's time to step back into the open air and
journey to a place where Milan's past and present stand side by side, the imposing Sforzesco Castle.
This fortress is a treasure trove of history, dating back to the 15th century when it stood
as a symbol of power and defense for the ruling Sforza family. Today it houses some of the city's
finest museums and art collections, a must visit for culture vultures. Just a stone's throw away
from the castle gates lies the lush green park of Parco Sempione. It's the perfect spot to unwind,
with meandering paths and shady spots under the trees. Whether you're up for a leisurely stroll,
a bout of people watching, or just craving some peace away from the city buzz,
this park is your green sanctuary in the midst of Milan's urban landscape. This city will charm you
not just with its sights, but also with its tastes. When you think of Italy, you think of food,
and Milan is a culinary wonderland waiting to be savored. Here are the top three street food
spots in Milan that you simply cannot miss. First up, Tielo Cucetiello a Milano. This is where a
humble Neapolitan staple, the Cucetiello, a hearty sandwich stuffed into a half loaf of bread,
becomes a Milanese sensation. Loaded with classic Neapolitan flavors, like meatballs and tomato
sauce, or creative twists like eggplant parmigiana and sausage with broccoli, you'll find a size to
satisfy any appetite. Then there's Trepezzino, where pizza meets sandwich in a match made in
snack heaven. Imagine a pillow of white pizza bread, the kind Rome is famous for, bursting with
fillings from chicken cacciatore to creamy burrata with anchovies. Plus, they surprise you daily with
three new flavors from their ever-changing menu. And we can't talk about street food without
mentioning All'Antico Vinaio, a place that's turned Italian focaccia into a superstar dish.
This Florentine import to Milan packs their focaccia with a treasure trove of toppings,
from spicy nduja to luscious cold cuts and cheese. Vegetarians rejoice. You've got loads of options,
like grilled veggies and sun-dried tomatoes. Just a heads up, if you're coming post-noon,
expect a line. But trust us, it's worth every minute of the wait. How about Italian restaurants?
We fell in love with these two, and we urge you to visit them.
The first restaurant is Pasta da Torre. It's where Milan goes when they crave homemade pasta,
where the pizza has that perfect wood-fired taste. And where tiramisu is more than just dessert,
it's an experience. Pull up a chair and savor the authentic flavors. Each bite is a testament to
Italian culinary art. The atmosphere is as warm as the pizza oven, and the dishes, from the first
forkful of pasta to the last spoonful of tiramisu, are pure delight. It's a bustling spot with a
heart, where every meal is a celebration of Italy's best. Our next stop is Osteria da Fortunata,
a hidden gem where pasta isn't just a dish, it's a show. Picture this, you're walking down the
street, and there it is, a window into the heart of Italian cooking. You can watch the magic happen
as skilled hands craft pasta the traditional way, right before your eyes. The sight of dough being
shaped into delicious creations is almost as good as eating them, almost. This place is a hot spot
for locals and tourists alike, and yes, that means there's usually a line. But trust me, the wait is
part of the experience. Chat with fellow foodies, soak in the anticipation, and before you know it,
you'll be twirling your fork into the most divine pasta you've ever tasted. It's not just a meal,
it's Osteria da Fortunata's love letter to Milan. Okay, let's get down to business. If you're
wandering around Milan thinking, where can I get a good espresso? Don't worry, we've got you covered.
Milan's full of cool places to grab a coffee, but nothing matches the Starbucks Reserve Roastery.
It's right up there with all the must-sees of Milan. This place is huge, inside a grand old
building that looks like a castle for coffee. It's got all the Italian style you'd expect in Milan.
Dubbed the crown jewel of Starbucks in Europe, it stands as a testament to coffee culture
at its most refined. Many regard it as the best and most beautiful Starbucks in the world,
and it's easy to see why. Inside, right in the center, there's a real coffee roaster.
You can watch the roasting of the beans and smell that coffee magic happening.
So even if you're not the biggest coffee lover, you've got to check it out. It's a whole experience
and totally worth dropping by. Alright, after you've had your coffee fix at Starbucks, it's time
to talk about where to go when you're in need of a cocktail. We're heading over to Terrazza Aperol,
a rooftop bar right next to the majestic Duomo. This place is all about the Aperol Spritz,
that super popular drink that's like summer in a glass. The whole rooftop bar is decked out in
Aperol Orange. Best part? You're so close to the Duomo that you'll feel like you can almost
high-five it. Of course, you've got to try an Aperol Spritz here. They've got all sorts of
twists on it, plus a bunch of other drinks if Aperol's not your thing. And the food's great too.
Little tapas for a snacking or bigger plates if you're really hungry. Just a heads up, it can get
pretty busy. You might have to wait a bit for a spot on the terrace, but the view and the vibe
are totally worth it. It's like a big fun Aperol party up in the sky. Now, if you really want to
see Milan come alive at night, you've got to head to the Navigli district. This is where the city
lets its hair down and throws the best parties. Down in the south of Milan, Navigli is the go-to
spot for anyone looking to have a good time. This place has got it all. Cool cocktail bars, buzzing
clubs, and a vibe that's just electric. It's a hit with everyone. And get this, the district is built
around not one, but two canals. So you can start your evening with a dreamy walk by the Naviglio
Grande, the water reflecting all those twinkly lights. And there you have it, friends. Milan is a
city that charms you by day with its history and captivates you with its beauty. Whether you're
sipping on that perfect espresso or toasting with an Aperol spritz against the backdrop of the Duomo,
Milan is sure to steal a piece of your heart. It's a city that offers an experience for every
traveler, a feast for every foodie, and a toast for every night owl. From all of us
at True North Voyages, thank you for watching and safe travels.
