It's a good header, it's really accurate, it drops him right under the bar, but it's not.
He's almost backpedaling there Romero. I think the goalie initially might think that maybe he's
going to hit the ball or even go over. More than any other team in the Premier League,
Tottenham have scored the opening goal in matches this season. Davis, Kulosevsky somehow
shuffled it on to Saan. Straight at Fabiansky. Yeah, he had a little bit more room I think there.
Things that Tottenham have missed in recent games. They've started the last few matches with two
natural full backs in the centre-back positions. Here's Kudus, took a deflection but if anything
that just took the sting off it for Vicario. That's good play though from Kudus there.
Good covering by Sochek. This is the trouble for West Ham, if they push forward it invites
that sort of Tottenham counter. Udogi, Johnson, Porro. Plenty power, just lacked the accuracy from the Spaniard
looking for his first goal of the season. Look at the players on the bench, the likes of Fornals,
Danny Ings, Ogbonna. Lots of experience there. Another attempt. Fabiansky reacted well that time.
Fabiansky doesn't really get any genuine pace. This is that Lo Celso shot. Zouma's coming out to front him up.
Felicewski biding his time. Too many touches there again. Again West Ham can't get it away.
This is Brennan Johnson. Can operate in those positions on the edge of the opposing 18-yard box.
Kudus strong against Ben Davies. McKennis at the back stick. The first
gilt-edged opportunity for West Ham and the Brazilian couldn't grasp it. Yeah, big chance.
All right, the 45 minutes are up. We are into stoppages. There's not been many hold-ups in this
first half, so just two minutes to be added on. Can Brennan Johnson make an impact here? It seemed
to kick the ground as much as the ball. There was no power on the tame shot and just lacking confidence.
Brennan Johnson, to be honest, always works hard but just needs to find a little more composure in
his game. Lo Celso flashed in front of Kulosevsky. Here is Hojbjerg. Poro nice angle for the right
footed shot. He was over that side having taken the corner. That nearly worked out well for the
Spaniard. Yeah, unlucky that Kulosevsky. Now Son allowed to turn. Looking for Johnson. In turn
looking for Hojbjerg. It's come off an arm. Well, the VAR John Brooks had a good look at this and
has deemed that he's moving his arm behind his back as the connection happens. So no penalty
to Kulosevsky. It's come off Romero. It's fallen for Bowen. No flag off the defender. So Jared Bowen is on side
and West Ham who've absorbed so many heavy punches tonight are back on level terms at 1-1.
I think that's the big question here. He does well initially just to make sure he hangs on to that.
Let's just have a look now when he hits, when Kudas hits this. Oh, he's on side. Yeah. Comes up
two defenders. He's on the side. This goal is going to stand. Jared Bowen scores in a seventh
Premier League away game this season. He keeps his best for when he's on the road and West Ham
really needed this. He didn't know anything about it. A bit of pinball there in the box but you know what?
How often you see that. And as players you sense the Tottenham lads would have said at halftime
come on. We need another one here. Ward-Prowse. Great ball. Quick thinking. So far inside of a doggy.
Here's the goal scorer Bowen. Shifting it on to Ward-Prowse. Now Peketa. Might just have been
heading for that bottom corner. A beautiful sweeping pass from James Ward-Prowse. Sofell does
really well to just roll this one back to Bowen. Then he goes one more to Kudas. To Ward-Prowse.
Sorry. Into Peketa. To be taken by Pedro Porro. Skip to Basuma. Back out to Porro. That's nice.
Richarlison. So close. First touch. Richarlison who has never scored with his feet for Tottenham.
All five goals for the club have been headers. How close is that to being number six? I mean he's
backpedalling so it's not easy to get right above it. Romero. Porro. Cut out by Emerson. West Ham
can't make it stick at the moment. It's been better possession from Spurs in recent minutes.
Son. Skip. Now Basuma. Porro. Good save Fabianski. Unlucky. Postakoglou would be a little more
encouraged by what he's seen from his team in that last five minutes or so because prior to that
it was West Ham looking far more likely. Tottenham I think now have 17 shots in the match which is
above their average in the Premier League this season. Vicario in front of Bowen. The post.
Ward-Browse. Puts West Ham in front. How about that? James Ward-Browse. More goals against Tottenham
in his career than any other opponent. Tottenham cannot believe it's happened again. Another lead
thrown away. No pressure at all on Destiny Udogi. Goes back to the goal. He doesn't really see
Jarrett Bowen. He does well Jarrett Bowen to not get involved here and he just leaves it to James
Ward-Browse who sees it come back off the post. But Vicario flying out. I mean I wonder could he
have grabbed that and hung on to it? Did he have to try and punch that away? Let's have another look
from this angle. I think he's got to be braver. I really do. I think you've got to get your hands
on that and be prepared to take a kick in the face. Because by punching it he's just knocked
it straight back into the path of James Ward-Browse. Who at the second attempt says thank you very much.
Well it's been a masterclass from David Bowie's team. Zouma's gone in to stand on the toes of
the goalkeeper. Socheck joining him in that area. Good reaction for Vicario. So close to a West Ham
third. And with bodies up the field Emerson has done well to shut down the Tottenham counter-attack.
Here's Kulishevsky. Countless opportunities to deliver a quality cross tonight. He still might
do it here. Some. Leaning back Papessar. His first Tottenham goal against Manchester United in August.
Tottenham's best chance in some time. Right idea there. It's just a little bit of a scrappy
clearance there. David Moyes who keeps such a tight-knit squad. Has managed to secure the win
against Angposta Koglu. Look at these scenes of celebrations. It is a night when West Ham had to
dig in. Had to weather that storm in the first half. At times it felt like Tottenham were going to
run away with this. But the resilience and the resolve was there for all to see. What a big
three points for David Moyes and his team. They turn it around with the goals in the second half.
It finishes Tottenham 1 West Ham United 2.
