Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a boy named Jack.
He lived with his mother, who was very kind, but they were very poor.
They had no money and only a cow, which was their only possession.
One day, Jack was asked by his mother to sell the cow at the market to get some money.
On his way, he met a strange man who offered to buy the cow in exchange for magic beans.
Jack, curious about these magical beans, agreed and traded the cow for the beans.
When Jack returned home, his mother was furious and threw the beans out of the window.
Disappointed, Jack went to bed without dinner.
The next morning, Jack woke up to find a gigantic beanstalk had grown overnight reaching high up into the sky.
Excited and curious, he decided to climb it.
As he reached the top, he found a land high above the clouds where a huge castle stood.
Jack cautiously entered the castle and discovered it belonged to a giant.
The giant had many treasures, including a golden hen that laid golden eggs and a harp that played beautiful music.
Quick thinking, Jack decided to take these treasures to help his poor mother.
He grabbed the hen and the harp and dashed down the beanstalk with the giant hot on his heels.
Jack reached the bottom and grabbed an axe, chopping down the beanstalk.
Down came the giant crashing to the ground.
Jack and his mother lived happily ever after with the treasures, never having to worry about being poor again.
