ANCIENT ARMENIA | Pagan Temple of Garni + Geghard Monastery

Armenia is one of the oldest civilizations in the world and it is home to a wealth of history like the last standing Pagan temple on the ground of the former Soviet Union called Temple of Garni. Also in close vicinity is the stunning Geghard Monastery which was built in the 4th century and carved literally out of the mountainside. If you are traveling to Armenia, you cannot miss these incredible historical sites. You can easily visit both in a day trip from Yerevan or stay overnight in the town of Garni.
