Good morning, it's the 2nd day, let's take a look at the scenery outside the window. I haven't washed my face yet.
The train passed through Utah last night.
Today's trip will start in Colorado and continue eastbound.
Today, the train will take you slowly through the Colorado River Valley and through the Rocky Mountains.
The scenery that will be seen on the second day of the itinerary is the initial reason why people choose to take this train.
The first stop the next morning, into Ruby Canyon.
It takes its name from the red sandstone cliffs that stretch for 40 kilometers here.
The canyon straddles the border between Utah and Colorado.
In addition to the railway line passing through the canyon, rafting is also a popular way of leisure travel.
Crossing Ruby Canyon, the train is about to make its first stop in Colorado, so let's get off and take a walk.
Arrived in Colorado at 11:00 noon
As the highest altitude area in the United States, popular national parks, wildlife, dinosaur fossils, cultural heritage, Colorado, is worth a deep visit.
Passengers who get off and rest with them can go to the small shop in front of the station to buy some snacks and souvenirs
within ten minutes of stopping.
Well, now I finally have to answer the question that everyone has been concerned about.
Ticket price.
To put it simply, the train is mainly divided into coach, roomette, and bedroom.
I booked a roomette myself. Friends who have watched the video of my first day must have a better understanding of the details of the room.
When booking, the entire private room purchased by the passenger is not a bed,
so you will have your own private space.
If you live in a roomette by yourself, the price is $800-1100/room;
if you live in two people, the price is $1100-1300/room.
The space in the roomette is very suitable for one person, but if you want to travel together economically, up to 2 people can live in this small private room.
Passengers in roomette need to share toilets or bathrooms with other passengers in this car.
If you want to have a more spacious space, and the private room has its own bathroom and bathroom, it is
recommended to choose a bedroom.
The price range for one person living in a bedroom is $1400-2300/room, and
if two people live in, the price for a bedroom is $2200-2500/room.
The prices of the above-mentioned private rooms are: 1. The full fare for three days and two nights. 2. All meals and drinks are included.
3. The price fluctuates: because its pricing principle is similar to that of an air ticket,
the ticket price is more expensive on holidays or near the date of departure.
Therefore, if you have plans to travel, it is recommended to book tickets early.
The later you book, the more likely the price will increase.
If you take a short trip, you can also choose to buy a coach.
The seat specification is similar to that of the business class of the aircraft.
The seat ticket passengers can also go to the sightseeing car to view the scenery, but they cannot use the dining car and bathroom in the sleeper car.
And remember to bring your own food, because there are only simple snack shops on the train.
When traveling with children or the elderly, the train also has specific family rooms or accessible rooms.
Although these special rooms are limited, they can enjoy the time and space that belongs to the family.
If you want to experience the sightseeing train, they don't have to spend too much time in the sleeper,
but they don't want to spend too much money, it is recommended to take the second day's journey with the best scenery,
from Salt Lake City to Denver, the cost is only half the way.
Well, now that everyone knows the various fares, let's take a look at the next sightseeing experience.
Is it worth your choice?
Passing through the ruby canyon, looking at the ever-changing landscape in front of you, I believe that today will be exciting.
The train moved forward slowly, but his thoughts reminded people of the past of the "California Zephyr".
In the late 1940s, the appearance of this sightseeing train was that in order to attract passengers,
the railway company carefully planned the operation route to ensure that it would pass through important scenic spots during the day
Therefore, this luxury and high-end train at that time did not live up to expectations once it came out.
Traveling by train is a form of tourism in itself" and popular.
During these years, due to the great decline of railway passenger transport and the reorganization of resources, the operation has been suspended and disbanded for ten years.
Today, the re-run train is still running on the original line,
looking at the same scenery as it did back then.
Thinking back to the present, the next stop is Greenwood Springs.
Here's a little story about President Roosevelt and the teddy bear.
Said that 120 years ago, President Roosevelt liked to hunt in Colorado, often staying at the Greenwood Hotel,
or giving speeches here.
After a failed hunt, in order to cheer on President Roosevelt,
a hotel attendant gave him a hand-stitched plush bear, which his daughter named "Teddy Bear".
Since then, teddy bears have become a worldwide popular toy.
You can still book the presidential suite where Roosevelt once stayed at this hotel.
The train is here, and the journey is nearly halfway there.
Get off the train and take a rest. There are more exciting journeys to come.
At the next stop, the train is about to follow the Colorado River and slowly enter Greenwood Canyon.
