韩信（－前196年），淮阴人，是汉初三杰之一，又与彭越、英布并称为汉初三大名将。萧何誉为“国士无双”、蒯彻誉为“功高无二，略不世出”。
韩信是谋略家、战术家、统帅和谋战派军事理论家，在中国历史上以卓绝用兵才能著称，留下许多著名战例和策略。后世何去非评价为‘言兵莫过孙武，用兵莫过韩信’。韩信为西汉的开国立下汗马功劳，“王侯将相”一人全任，惟功高震主引起猜忌。刘邦战胜主要对手项羽后，开始消灭异姓王，于是借故贬韩信为淮阴侯；最后为吕后及萧何骗入宫内，以谋反之名处死于长乐宫钟室。
Han Xin (-196 BC), a native of Huaiyin, was one of the three outstanding generals in the early Han Dynasty. He was also known as the three great generals in the early Han Dynasty together with Peng Yue and Yingbu. Xiao He was hailed as "unmatched scholars", and Kuai Che was hailed as "unparalleled meritorious service, slightly out of the world".
Han Xin is a strategist, tactician, commander-in-chief, and military theorist of the war-conspiring faction. He is known for his outstanding military ability in Chinese history and has left many famous battle examples and strategies. He Qufei in later generations commented that "the warrior should never be better than Sun Wu, and the warrior should not be better than Han Xin." Han Xin made great contributions to the founding of the Western Han Dynasty, and the "prince and generals" were all appointed, but the master's high merits caused suspicion. After Liu Bang defeated his main opponent Xiang Yu, he began to eliminate the king of different surnames, so he demoted Han Xin to be the Marquis of Huaiyin. Finally, Hou Lu and Xiao He cheated into the palace and executed them in the bell room of Changle Palace in the name of treason.
