I have done the hard work for you.
I have trawled the high street and I have found the best winter coats that are available
to shop right now.
Well hello there and welcome back to my channel.

So in today's video we are doing a highly requested one and it is my big high street
winter coat edit.
I have trawled the high street and I have found the best winter coats that are available
to shop right now.
We all know how important a winter coat is in our wardrobes and really when the temperatures
start to drop like they have already, it is so important to have something warm and cosy
and good quality as well as something that looks chic.
With so many coat options out there to choose from, it can be very overwhelming and I think
often times we tend to ignore the composition of the coats.
But when it comes to our outerwear on our winter coat, the composition and the quality
of the material is really important.
So I have whittled it down to a number of coats that I'm showing you today and all of
them have at least a 50% or higher wool percentage in their fabric.
So that means that 50% or more of the material is composed of wool which means it's going
to be warmer, it's going to keep you more snuggly and cosy as well as looking chic.
I have done the hard work for you so do not worry.
If you want to give me a thumbs up because of that, I would appreciate it.
Anyway, I will link everything right down in the description below.
At the point of filming, I checked that everything was in stock because I know how quickly these
things sell out.
If you find a coat here that you really really love, I wouldn't sleep on it because the good
ones and the ones with really good fabric that are good prices, they sell out very fast.
So without rambling on too much, let's get into coat number one.
So I've sectioned these off into different shops and the first one we're going to look
at is Arquette.
The very first coat I recommend is this boucle wool coat from Arquette.
Now this coat is 100% wool which is fantastic.
Why I chose this one is not only is it 100% wool which is incredible, it's going to keep
you so warm, but it is a very classic style.
So we have the wrap style which is great, you can cinch it in at the waist, but it also
has that type of silhouette that I think if you removed the belt, you could wear it without
it as well.
And I think that looking at coats like these that have that dual function is actually very
handy because it means that you can basically have two different ways of styling it which
is kind of rare when it comes to coats.
So I do think this one in terms of it being your classic style, you can wear it both ways
and it's 100% wool, it's a pretty good one.
Now we also have to mention the fact that the long black coat or the LBC as it has been
abbreviated to is such a big trend at the moment.
It's also a very classic item so it's not really going to ever go out of style but it
definitely is having a moment right now so you're going to see a lot of long black coats
in this roundup.
I myself am a huge fan of a long black coat.
I love the oversized fit, I love the masculine tailoring, I love the powerful shoulders and
you're going to see some of those examples in this video.
It's such a great wardrobe staple in winter because not only can you wear it day to day,
it's going to work for the office as well or work wear, but it's also quite dressy.
I feel like a black coat is perfect for slinging over your shoulders if you're wearing a nice
evening outfit.
The next coat recommendation is also from Marquette and it is this oversized wool coat.
Now you're going to see here that the shape of this coat is slightly different, it is
more of a relaxed shape.
It's not to say that you couldn't dress it up for the evening but it does lend itself
a little bit more to a day to day look and I think it's so chic and so gorgeous and also
it is 70% wool which again, super high wool composition that's going to keep you really
really cosy.
I do really like the collar detail, it can be worn closed with the collar up which I
think is gorgeous or it can be worn open and you can kind of pop the collar a little bit
as well.
But again I like the drama of the oversized fit, the length, it's really really nice and
also as I said this is 70% wool so again it's going to keep you super cosy.
Next up we're going to look at some coats from H&M.
The first coat that I want to show you is this gorgeous wool tie detail coat.
Now again you're going to see that tie detail that I've mentioned before, it's so gorgeous
but what I love about this coat is the shoulders.
It is such a modern updated coat, it's gorgeous, I love it so so much.
It has that oversized fit but you can cinch it in really really nicely at the waist, it's
giving that beautiful 80s silhouette but again because it has that tie detail you could
loosen it or remove the tie so you're getting two different ways to wear the coat which
I think is mega, it's so so handy.
Again I think this is so chic, if you're a fan of brands like the Row with that nipped
in detail that we're seeing a lot of and you want something really updated but still very
classic in that it is a classic black coat I think this is a great option and again the
composition of this is 75% wool which is fantastic.
So moving away from the black coats for a minute, another H&M coat that I recommend
is this felted wool coat.
This one is 100% wool which again is fantastic, it's a gorgeous oversized relaxed fit.
So I talked about the fitted tailored shoulders which I absolutely adore but then on the other
side there's something really chic and understated about a relaxed shoulder like this.
It is a little bit more casual, you can definitely dress it up for the evening but it's great
for daytime and again you're going to see that tie detail, you can cinch it in at the
waist but you can also remove the tie as well.
Now this coat I believe comes in multiple colours, some of them are selling out really
really quickly but I do love the grey version, I think it's super classic and I think grey
is a really big colour that we're seeing in coats this year.
It's just a really easy one to style, again you can pair it with blacks, with neutrals,
it looks great with creams or whites as well but also I think an all tonal grey look is
absolutely gorgeous, super super chic.
So another coat that I highly recommend from H&M is this gorgeous one here.
This is a wool blend but it is 74% wool.
This one is a little bit like a hybrid between the two styles I've been explaining.
It has the padded tailored shoulders, it's fit really really nicely on the lapels, it's
got a lovely tailored finish to it but it also has that wrap detail so again you can
cinch it in at the waist, you can wear it without the tie if you want that straight
kind of masculine cut which I adore so much, I think it's really dressy but then you can
also tie it in with a belt if you like.
This also comes in two colours so you can get it in your classic black or you can get
it in this gorgeous warm tan colour.
This tan colour is probably my top recommended colour for coats along with black.
This one I feel like for the price and the composition of wool that it has, I think it's
a great find.
So next up we're going to look at Mango and I found this beautiful grey tailored coat
which is 100% wool which is amazing.
This one is styled on the model here with a scarf around the waist but actually I don't
think it comes with a tie so you would be wearing this just as a straight coat unless
you wanted to add your own belt which you definitely can.
But again I feel like that 100% wool composition is fantastic, again it's going to keep you
super super warm, it's in that gorgeous grey colour which as I said is just huge this season
but it's going to carry you into seasons ahead, it's a classic colour.
This is the kind of coat I would dress up for the evening, I'd wear it with my evening
looks but also it's a great one to add to your daytime wardrobe because it makes everything
look that little bit smarter and more put together.
Another coat I loved from Mango is this wool cashmere coat, it is a wool cashmere blend
so it's 90% wool and 10% cashmere and cashmere is that premium fabric, it's going to give
you even more warmth, it's going to be really soft and really nice on the skin, they are
just amazing to have in your coats.
Now moving on to costs, I'm going to show you a coat that kind of broke the internet,
it did sell out and it's coming in and out of stock, it is currently in stock right now
so it will be linked below along with everything else but this is their classic structured
wool coat, again it has those powerful shoulders, the lapels, all of those style notes that
I absolutely love but it is worth knowing that this is, I think it's 52% wool so interestingly
even for its price there are other coats in this listing that have more wool composition
in them, I love the stylistic details of this one, I think 50% wool or higher is really
really good.
So next up I'm going to show you a coat from Massimo Duty and this one is a wool blend
coat, it's 68% wool in the composition which again is going to keep you super warm.
This coat is an example of a trench silhouette that's done in a wool coat which I personally
really really like, it's the tie detail, it's the details of the sleeves and the collar
that just makes it a little bit more casual and again you could dress this up for the
evening but it is really perfect for that day to day casual look if that's what you're
after and then of course it has that beautiful grey tone which is just so so popular.
So next up we're moving on to Karen Millen who are very good for coats, they have some
very nice ones especially their Italian wool coats are really beautifully tailored and
currently they're doing I believe it's 40% off their outerwear so I will link this one
below you can see the updated price.
This one here is beautiful, it's their Italian wool tailored coat.
So this one is a 50% wool composition which is great but it's the tailoring of this one
that I absolutely adore, that little nip in at the waist and ribs I just love, it's something
that's so updated and modern and just looks really chic and really elegant, it's so beautiful.
Another coat I love from Karen Millen is this Italian wool blend high neck belted coat.
This is in the most gorgeous tan colour, it's so chic, it's so smart, I feel like this would
be the most amazing work wear coat, it's absolutely gorgeous and the composition of this is 75%
Italian wool which again is really great, it's going to be super good quality and keep
you really really warm.
You can see in the model photos here the neck detail is just so chic, it's so elegant and
I feel like Karen Millen does this really well with their hourglass shapes and their
fitted shapes in their coats, it just makes them look really really premium.
Now another coat I really liked is this tan one that I found from Marks and Spencer which
I always say have some absolute gems.
This one is a wool cashmere blend, I believe it is 57% wool and about 7% cashmere in the
composition so it's going to be great quality but it's a gorgeous gorgeous fit, it's got
that belt at the waist, the lapels are really smart, again I think this is a fantastic work
wear coat, it's very very elegant and again I feel like M&S they just do some great basics
but they do very good coats and often I think most of their coats have a very high wool
percentage as well which is great.
So finally we're going to move on to Weekday which I think have the best value coats for
their composition on the high street right now.
At time of filming they're doing an offer, I believe it's 15% off when you sign up so
again I will link all the info in the description below.
I do feel like these are the best value coats.
So this is the Delia waisted wool coat and just like the hourglass one I showed you from
Karen Millen, this has that little stylistic detail of that nip in just under the arms
at the ribs and waist and I just think it looks so premium.
The price of this is €170 and it has a 53% wool composition I believe which is really
really good and again it has that dramatic length, it has the tailoring on the shoulders
so I think it is a really really good option.
Next coat from Weekday I'm going to show you is the Alex oversized wool coat.
Again this is a 52% wool composition and it comes in at under €150 which is fantastic.
It has all of the stylistic details that I love, it has the padded shoulders, the double
breasted buttons, that oversized fit, it's really really long and it's also a good fabric
composition as well.
So this is a great option, it's going to keep you warm and it's a really really good price
as well.
Now this one also comes in a beautiful beautiful grey colour, it's gorgeous and it also comes
in kind of a muted tan, like mauvey oaty colour so depending on what colour you were looking
for I actually think this Weekday Alex coat might be my top recommendation of the whole
video.
I actually think I need to buy it myself now, it's a great great option.
The very last coat I'm going to show you from Weekday is the Kia oversized coat.
Now this one again is a 60% wool composition, the price is so so good, it's fantastic and
it is again that belted style so if you wanted to go for something belted and you wanted
it at that better price as I said but still with a high wool composition I think the Kia
is a really really good option.
Again I believe this comes in other colours as well, the black is so classic, it's so
nice but if you wanted another option, those three coats from Weekday, they've done such
a good job to bring that high quality of wool content with that price and that tailoring
I think is amazing.
So there you have it guys, those are my top recommended winter coats available on the
high street right now.
I hope you were able to find something that you loved and do let me know in the comments
if you have found your dream winter coat there.
I've tried to include something for every budget in this roundup and I know that a lot
of these are a higher price point but a winter coat is definitely an investment and the idea
is that you pick up a good quality one that you wear season after season after season
and by checking the fabric details which is always available in the product listings you
can figure out just how warm that coat is going to keep you and how well it's going
to last.
So I tried to do the work for you today, I hope it helped you out, you can give this
video a thumbs up if you liked it and of course if you have not already be sure to subscribe
to my channel, I post new videos every single week and I would love to have you back for
