Amazing Wingsuit & Skydiving

That's probably the most vertical base jumps in the world that I've ever done.
This looks much sketchier than anything that I've done, that's for sure.
This is going to be epic.
I'm just happy.
Kind of freaking out a little bit right now.
This valley is amazing.
One of our last objectives here in the Aosta Valley.
It's going to be right up the side of Mount Blanc.
And it's just this piece of rock coming out of nowhere.
It is a southwest facing fault.
So that's where we're waiting until this late in the afternoon.
Obviously the danger is probably going to be valley width, probably coming down.
Fred Fugen is in town right now, soul flyer, legend, hero.
Ready to go.
You ever see the guys that are flying wingsuits, they jump off a mountain and they fly into the airplane?
Fred Fugen.
Boom, they fly right into the airplane.
He's super gifted and talented in the air.
Hell of a guy and unbelievable flyer.
Stoked that he's here today to share these lifetime experiences with us.
The Aiguille Noire de Petre, it's a place that I've been flying a few times with a small parachute.
So I was lucky to play in this area already, but I've never base jumped it.
So it's going to be a first.
It's up there. It's maybe a little bit higher than 12,000 feet.
It's steep. It's going to be a long flight. It's going to be a good flight.
But still just getting to the exit point is the tricky part.
That's the exit.
Right there.
That's the ledge down there, but we're pushing directly at this way.
Yeah.
All right. I'm already nervous.
I am not a mountaineer.
I'm terribly scared of heights.
I'll go up there. I'll check it out.
I want to at least get up there and stand on it.
And if I don't feel comfortable, if I don't see it, if I don't feel it,
then I'll just come down and die.
We'll see. We'll see how I feel.
Now I've got to think about that all night, so that I can sleep.
In the mountain, there is the guide.
Take your lunch.
You put in the rope and you can go down.
Take the helicopter and stay 40, 50 centimeters from the rock.
It's not a lot.
It's good.
It's intimidating up there, you know?
We looked at a bunch of video that we did with the scout yesterday.
Everything I've seen so far, I'm comfortable with.
I know I can do it.
You want to jump at an angle in between that knob and this wall.
And what wall? This one that we're on right here?
That's your slot.
But everybody's powering up before that ledge, which is plus 15.
But that's what you don't want to be over.
You have power turns.
Okay.
Five, four, two...
It's so steep this ridge, you can just fly around.
I mean, it's amazing, the visual.
People say, in a lot of other sports, that it's 100% commitment.
I would say that, once you push, this is real 100% commitment.
What a flight. Oh, my God.
Life doesn't get any better than this.
Except with my wife and kids.
Oh, my God.
Did you guys see that?
You guys, when you first jump, it's like, you guys both did it.
I'm not going to make it, I'm not going to make it, I'm not going to make it.
And I was like, come on, suit, come on, suit, come on, suit.
And I was just like...
This is going to work, right?
And I dove at it and it just took off.
Those rocks are so, like, jagged.
It's like sea cliffs, right?
Yeah, it's an aggressive place.
Dude, it's so steep.
That was amazing, bro.
The luckiest people on the planet right now.
I mean, we're so lucky to be able to fly in this environment.
It's insane.
Feel that, Miles?
Yeah, feel it, baby. Feel it, baby.
