2017年7月8日,鼓浪屿被列入世界遗产名录,成为中国第52项世界遗产项目。
Gulangyu Island, formerly known as "Yuanshazhou", there is a sea erosion cave in the southwest of the island that was hit by the waves and made a sound like a drum. Since the Ming Dynasty, it was renamed "Gulangyu Island" and faces Xiamen Island across the sea.
Gulangyu Island has rugged reefs, meandering coastline, green mountains, and jagged peaks and rocks. Gulangyu Island is represented by architecture and music is its soul.
On July 8, 2017, Gulangyu Island was included in the World Heritage List, becoming China's 52nd World Heritage project.
