Hi I'm July and this is Sally the Scrambler. It's a BMW R90 Scrambler 2016. So I took this bike,
I've taken her from Alaska to Argentina. So I left in June 2017 actually this year and
flew the bike to Anchorage, went up to the Arctic Circle and then started heading south.
So I went through the States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and then finally
Argentina to Ushuaia. I didn't want to take a GS because you know everybody does. Not necessarily,
I think this bike is just a stunning bike. It just gets me out of bed each morning, makes me
happy and I had to make a few tweaks to it to sort of get it over land ready and I suppose
the crash guards were quite important because I do drop the bike quite often and it's handy.
Then I had these fabricated spare fuel. I used to have a luggage rack here but that broke in Mexico
and got the fairing, got the wee risers for the mud guard to get more clearance. Got these
exhaust straps, just pure aesthetics to be honest with you and you know a few grills and guards and
everything. So the bike's now done about 24,000 miles and it's not missed a beat and a lot of
people think these bikes are just meant to be ridden around town and you know but it's an
excellent bike and I'd definitely recommend it for a trip on to Pan America or anywhere else in the
world. I suppose the only wee thing that I would change about the bike is the suspension which
isn't particularly good. The travel in the front could do with a couple of extra inches and
definitely change the rear because it's just not cut out but besides that it's just a beautiful,
beautiful, beautiful bike. I've actually not been anywhere, I've just come from
South London and these are all from eBay so...
