I tell you this because it is very important, especially when traveling, to stipulate a good travel insurance. Unexpected things can happen and it is good to cover yourself a priori.
Fortunately I was able to recover quickly enough without having to go to the hospital, but even if I had the need to go to the hospital I was quite calm because I knew that all expenses would have been covered by my insurance.
It is called EIMONDO, I leave you the link below in the description where you have everything explained very well and above all you can understand what type of insurance is best for you.
If you sign up for an insurance through the link that I leave you below, you will have a 10% discount.
Having said that, I would say not to waste any more time and let's start with this video.
Welcome to Jaipur, a city of 3 million inhabitants and capital of Rajasthan.
3, 2, 1...
Hello Italy!
Yes, nice!
In this video I want to recommend you the main attractions to see in Jaipur, so make yourself comfortable, relax and come with me to discover this colorful and lively city.
GALTAJI TEMPLE
And as the first attraction I chose to come and visit the Galtaji Temple, more commonly called simply the Temple of the Apes, because in fact there are a lot of apes here.
The entrance to enter this temple for foreigners was 100 rupees, so a little more than 1 euro, but if you have a camera or any phone they will also make you pay 150 rupees more.
In India you always pay for the use of a camera, I don't know why, but this is how much.
The temple is very nice, probably in the past it was certainly much more beautiful and probably also well maintained.
Now it almost looks like an abandoned temple and they are also doing some work, so I don't know if maybe they are restoring it.
There are many devotees who come to bathe in the waters of these pools that you have just seen, I don't know if they are sacred waters.
They come, immerse themselves and it is very nice to see these kinds of rituals.
BOLLYWOOD INDIA
After visiting the Temple of the Apes, that same evening my friends and I went to have a really special experience.
How beautiful this place is guys, how beautiful this cinema is, wonderful.
If you come to Jaipur guys you have to come and see a movie in an Indian cinema, Indian Bollywood guys, beautiful.
I'm super excited for tonight.
BOLLYWOOD INDIA
Just finished and obviously the experience is not so much seeing a movie in Hindi, because clearly the language is Hindi,
but the experience is seeing the people, the dogs, how they react to the film, it's really fun.
They incite the protagonist, they poo, it's fun, but I don't want to spoil you too much in case you come to Jaipur to see a movie in the cinema.
Let's say that it is certainly a very alternative and different evening from the usual, so I absolutely recommend a visit to the Jaipur cinema, also because it is really cheap.
HAWA MAHAL
An attraction that you certainly should not miss if you come to Jaipur is the palace that you see behind me right now, it's called Hawa Mahal,
also known as the palace of the winds and it is the real symbol of this city.
This beautiful pink five-story building was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh
and it is where the women of the royal family watched what was happening on the street through small windows.
The windows of Hawa Mahal have a particular shape that basically allows two functions,
to be able to look outside without being seen and to circulate a nice stream of fresh air, that's why it's called the palace of the winds.
If you want a nice privileged view of this palace, you can go up on one of the many terraces in front of the palace.
For example, I went up to Windy Cafe Bar, but you can choose any one, they are practically all the same,
and you can then admire the palace from a different perspective, from above, and it is certainly very nice.
It is already called the pink city because around the middle of the 19th century,
many houses in the historic center of this city were colored in this color,
to welcome the then King of England, Edward VII.
In fact, pink is recognized as the color of hospitality, of welcome,
and therefore, since then, the houses of this city have kept this color unchanged.
Although, to be honest, to me, more than pink, it looks like a kind of terracotta, a kind of orange, it's not really pink.
However, I asked the Indians who live here and they said yes, for them this is pink, so let's make it go well like this.
In the surroundings of Jaipur, there are really many things to show you,
such as temples, palaces, fortresses, etc., etc.
And as a first attraction, today I chose to visit the palace that you see behind me,
which is called Jal Mahal, which literally means the floating palace,
although in reality it is not so good, because in fact it is completely submerged by the lake that hosts it.
Unfortunately it is not visitable, you can simply take pictures from this side of the lake.
Ok, maybe Sunday wasn't the best day to come and visit the Amber Palace.
In fact, after the palace that I showed you before, now I have moved,
I am definitely more in the hills and I am about to enter what I called the Amber Palace, Amber Fort,
which is certainly one of the most visited and also most beautiful attractions in Jaipur.
So if you come here, I recommend you to put it in the list of things to see,
maybe not on Sunday, because it is full of people, mostly all Indians.
A beautiful garden.
To enter here, the ticket for foreigners is 502 rupees, so just over 5 euros.
Amber Palace
To explain something about this palace, I should first tell you about Rajasthan,
which is the region where I am now, because in fact in ancient times,
in Rajasthan, in this region, many kings followed each other,
who were called Maharaja, and practically every king, every royal family,
had their own palace, just like this one.
Among other things, this one is really gigantic and it is very very cool.
The cool thing about this fortress is not only that it is huge
and you can easily get lost inside this gigantic complex,
but the very nice thing is that all around you can see castles, other fortresses,
you can see the walls, very cool, the landscape is really cool.
I want to make a small clarification, practically before entering the Amber Fort,
you have to do a sort of walk uphill of less than 10 minutes on foot, ok?
You will approach several people who will ask you if you want to use elephants,
that is, there are elephants that bring people to the top of the fortress
and then bring them back down.
Clearly you have to pay, but that's not the point.
My point is that I do not share the use of elephants,
I see it as an exploitation of these poor animals
that are not suitable to carry the weight of humans, of people.
So if you've known me for a while, if you've been following this channel for a while,
or if you know me, you will know that I am against the exploitation of animals.
Fortunately, I did not seem to see any elephant,
at least when I went up there was no elephant,
we'll see when I go down if there will be anyone.
Anyway, I've seen videos on YouTube in the past of people who went up to this fortress
using elephants and it's a sad thing.
Don't do it, guys.
But here in India, like in any other country,
even in Tharandga, I had seen people riding elephants.
It's a bad thing, it's sad, it's not nice.
So let's not do it, guys, let's not do it.
Dear traveling friends, I would say that from the beautiful Amber Palace,
which ends my video on Jaipur,
unfortunately, as I told you at the beginning,
my visit here to Jaipur was influenced by the food poisoning I had
as soon as I arrived in the city, which kept me in bed for two days
and without strength, practically, for the rest of the time I stayed here.
So I wasn't able to see everything I had planned,
also because there are so many things to see in Jaipur.
I hope, however, that this video...
Hi!
People are saying hello to me.
I hope you liked this video.
If so, please put a nice like,
share it with all the people you want
and we'll see you, as usual, in a next video.
Bye!
Ciao!
Sawai!
Paolo, Paolo!
Unfortunately, it's not visitable,
you can only...
It was...
Think that it was the residence of the Maharaja,
so the kings who lived here, in this region of Rajasthan,
the summer residence.
Think that it was the summer residence, so the...
And without strength, practically, for...
And without strength.
This is how you do ninja safety work, guys.
Perfect.
Well done, guys.
Well done.
They threw a stick down with a rope.
