Hello, everyone. It's time for Let's Learn English with ANA.
I'm Kim Hyun-sook.
I like to cook myself.
And when I make a new dish, I look at the recipe.
Recipe is a cooking recipe.
For example, put two lemons,
break five eggs,
and add a little sugar.
Today, we're going to learn useful English expressions when cooking.
Shall we go to Ana?
What kind of food can you make?
What food can you make?
I have a question for today.
What food can you make?
Today we talk about food.
So I am happy.
Well, I am hungry.
So I am not happy.
Hi, Daisy.
I am part Italian.
So I like to make pasta.
I use oil and garlic to make the pasta.
Then I add meatballs.
I added three meatballs.
One, two, three.
Yum.
Max, taste a meatball.
Yum.
Tasty.
That's right, Max.
Mmm.
Tasty.
I want a meatball.
Sorry, Daisy.
You can count lemons.
One, two, three, four.
I have four lemons.
Four is more than one.
So I add S to the end of lemon.
Lemons.
We can count dishes.
I made three dishes for dinner.
I added ES to the end of dish.
This shows I have more than one.
Some things you cannot count.
You do not add S or ES to words like rice, pasta, and salt.
Now you try.
Are these count or non-count foods?
Can count.
Bananas, eggs, nuts, grapes, tomatoes.
Cannot count.
Milk, sugar, fish, bread, tea.
Thank you, Mr. Ana.
Now let's listen to our friends' stories.
I make many cakes and cookies for my family.
I like to make rice with vegetables.
I make my famous egg dish.
This is for eggs.
One tomato, some butter, and salt.
Mr. Ana is making delicious food for a picnic.
What is he making?
I am making s'mores for my picnic.
Each s'more gets two crackers, some chocolate, and one marshmallow.
First, I need to cook the marshmallow over a fire.
This one is a little too dark.
This one is burnt.
I did it. I made four s'mores for my picnic.
I used eight graham crackers, some chocolate, and a bag of marshmallows.
They look bad, but taste good.
Thank you for watching.
Let's learn English with Ana next time.
