Efficiently managing images is an essential aspect for organizations of any magnitude. Administrators can ensure seamless operations by creating multiple versions of the same RAS template which is used as a “Golden Image” for provisioning users’ virtual machines (VMs) for RD Session Hosts, VDIs, and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.

FSLogix Office Containers (ODFC) is a type of container that holds only data and settings for Microsoft 365 products such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. ODFC containers can optionally be used with profile containers in a dual container configuration to place Microsoft 365 application data in a different VHD from the rest of the profile data. Now it is possible to configure this directly from the Parallels RAS Console.

In addition to the already available time-based power management, IT administrators can power hosts on and off based on the utilization of the host pools. With these new configurations, resource-based power management on the hosts provides an accelerated way to dynamically power on or off hosts in a host pool.

In addition to having the ability to manually recreate session hosts based on a template and a version, IT admins can now automate the session host recreation process through time-based schedules. These schedules can be configured on host pools for specific times of day and specific days.

All-new user interface and enhanced user experience designed to adhere to the modern Microsoft and Apple guidelines. The user experience has been reimagined to streamline user workflow and focus on accomplishing tasks with ease. Similar to the User Portal, Parallels Client for Windows and Mac also allow users to manage their workspace experience by using Favorites. This feature allows users to select available resources for quick access. In addition user experience can be personalized by allowing the Parallels Client to appearance to adapt to system settings, or explicitly set as dark or light mode.

TLS 1.3 is the latest version of the TLS protocol. TLS, which is used by HTTPS and other network protocols for encryption, is the modern version of SSL. TLS 1.3 offers several improvements including faster TLS handshake and simpler, more secure cipher suites. New capabilities provide stronger security and improved performance.

FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standard) 140-2 is the benchmark for validating the effectiveness of cryptographic hardware. FIPS protocol ensures a unified standard to protect sensitive government data from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks and threats. Parallels RAS 19.3 is FIPS 140-2 compliant as it uses FIPS 140-2 validated modules in Secure Gateway and HALB, and Parallels Clients for Windows, Parallels Client for Mac, and Linux.
