Hello, hello everyone! I hope you're doing well. This is very spontaneous and I don't know yet if this video is actually meaningful.
We'll probably notice that in the cut. If you see this, maybe it was somehow meaningful or we just hope that it inspires someone.
This is going to be a very short, crisp video. I don't want to talk to you for a long time, but I know that inspiration for me personally,
when it comes to calendar use and also time management and so on, is A and O.
If I notice that I'm somehow stuck or I'm not as good at planning or I use my calendar less,
then I often just try to see what others are doing with their calendars, how others plan,
to see if there's anything that gives me a bit of a tingling in my stomach,
which I might also like to try out to see if it stays or if I throw it out again and again, because it doesn't work for me.
Yes, Ossi, what? That's me, yes.
And I've been sitting here for a long time now and collected a bit of inspiration,
I've put things into my calendar and so on, because I, and some of you have already seen it,
made an Olives&Moon Instagram channel on Instagram.
And not just for people who bought Olives&Moon calendars, but generally just to have an O.
For us planner freaks, for us time management friends and so on, to give a little inspiration.
There should be inspiration for the calendar designs, of course.
How can you design something? What can you put in there?
I'm always looking for new ideas and trying to find new ways to use the designs,
because I know you use them in four million different ways.
And of course I just want to pass on a little bit of inspiration.
But there will also be a lot on the subject of time management.
Orga, tips, anti-procrastination and so on.
My plan is just, and I hope I can do that, to give you a little inspiration over the year
and to push it again and again, so that we all stick to it.
And even if there are times when we don't feel like it,
we still don't let go and continue to realize our dreams and goals.
That's why I'm sitting here right now and trying to find some inspiration
on how to use the individual designs.
And I know that I have already submitted designs for the calendar launch video.
And I know that not everyone has seen it.
And I know that not everyone of you has Instagram.
That's why I thought I'd just make a short, crisp video
where I show you these inspiration designs for those of you who say,
Boah, I already have a really good system.
But maybe I need a little push here and there.
Or I would like to completely change my system,
because I notice that it doesn't work so well for me.
And for next year, just test something out a bit.
I don't know about you, but when the new year starts,
I try to have a very well-organized system for me.
Then I have the calendar right from the start.
Anyway, maybe that's weird. I don't know.
In any case, I thought we'd just sit together today.
This is not a huge, time-consuming video,
but it's just a bit about drinking coffee, inspiration.
And if you feel like it, stay tuned.
And if not, I'm not angry at all.
We'll see in the next video.
I really don't know why I'm doing this here.
I just feel like talking about calendars.
Cheers!
Oh God.
The first thing I keep seeing is that people
have the most diverse ways of using their calendar.
I'm so looking forward to sharing all these ideas with you,
because I've actually been using my calendar for years.
I always need my master to-do list for the month on my calendar.
I need goals for the month.
I need space for notes, because that's how my brain works.
And when I notice that I'm getting things done,
that I've actually been doing well in my routine,
then I like to make a month's checklist.
And look at the things you do every month,
like choosing tax documents and stuff like that.
Because I notice that it's good for me to have it there.
The little reminder, hey, remember, it's there every month,
to just work it off.
Some of you keep asking me what the difference is
between goals and to-do lists.
And I think it's very individual,
because there are things that I write down as goals,
that are probably more to-do lists for others.
I personally write things down as a goal,
when it feels like something I want to achieve,
when it feels like I'm setting myself a little challenge
to implement it.
And then there are things that I just want to work off or get done,
and then I would write them down more as to-do lists.
But that's probably a very individual thing.
Maybe you can write to me where you see the difference for you.
For me, it's actually more of a feeling and less of a,
okay, that's clearly a goal in the formulation,
and that's more of a to-do.
I'm curious to see what you guys think.
And I always have notes on my monthly overview,
because I notice that I really need a place with my brain
to just hold on to my thoughts.
I always try again, when people ask me
what it looks like in my brain,
to describe it from the picture a bit like a firework.
There are always little explosions everywhere,
in the form of ideas, of things that come to mind,
shit, I want to do that too, and so on.
And I notice that the better I manage to hold on to these ideas,
the more peace I have in my head,
and the more I benefit from having a firework in my head.
Because, of course, that's a huge burden,
because you often can't be as focused as others.
But at the same time, I also have a huge chance,
because I'm always full of ideas, and I'm always spouting.
And if I can use that, this idea diversity,
and implement it, because I've held on to it,
then of course it's a huge advantage.
I think that in every situation,
where your brain works, there are always moments
where you can say, okay, that's really shit, that's how it is.
Or you say, okay, that's my state,
how can I get the best out of it for myself?
And I notice, I just have to be in my calendar,
in my cell phone, in my to-do notebook,
just make room again and again,
to be able to write things down spontaneously.
That's why I always, always, always have a notebook for every month.
But I know that some of you also use the monthly overview,
with, for example, gratitude lists,
that you just write something down every day,
a sentence, or just one thing,
for which you are grateful on that day.
By the way, I think that's a very nice possibility,
if you tend to always look at the negative,
because in my opinion,
hashtag toxic positivity, whatever,
you just like to pull it down.
And I notice that, for example,
it has a positive effect on Wimmy,
that I ask him every evening,
Krabby, what was the most beautiful thing today?
And sometimes it's such big things that are clear,
because we have taken something special or something.
For example, eating breakfast with you,
when you read me a story.
And it's kind of nice to see,
that it also does something with him,
to fall asleep with such a nice, positive feeling.
And that's why I think the idea is definitely super nice.
Should I have thrown it in already?
I think I'll try to implement that for next year,
for my calendar.
Then let's get to the individual calendar designs.
It's also super individual again.
You know that I developed all the designs together with Fritz,
and that I, of course,
tested the designs over several weeks,
and thought about what life situation
it would probably make sense,
just to be a support for them.
They say, I don't have a plan,
which of the designs I can use best for my life.
I just know a little bit,
what would make sense and what wouldn't.
For the experts, of course,
it's just very clear,
for the people who have big writings,
who want to write down a lot.
You know, I've been using the expert for years.
I've been using the daily planner for years.
And everything I would write down as an expert,
is still written down in my life,
because I really need it.
But because I have to work digitally sometimes,
because I work in teams,
and we exchange ideas,
a part of it is digital,
and the other part I still need in writing.
That's why the expert doesn't work so well for me anymore.
But if you want to write down everything in advance,
the expert is really worth its weight in gold.
For me, as I said, it's always very important
to set some central points.
That means, in my planning,
to always focus on, okay, what's the big picture?
What's the plan for this year?
And what's the plan for this month?
And what do I want to achieve this month?
And what do I want to achieve this week?
I keep noticing that the bigger goals
that you have, that you think,
that's not realistic.
How am I supposed to do that?
It always suddenly becomes realistic
when you break it down to the smallest part.
Until you sit there and think,
okay, what do I want to achieve today?
And suddenly you just take a small step
and someone turns around and says,
I can do this.
That's why I love, love, love this week's overview
when you can keep track of exactly that.
Here in my example,
I tried to design this free page
in the week's overview as a dashboard.
So to create a place for activities.
I'm really into that.
Whenever I hear something cool,
what you can do in Berlin,
especially with children,
I write it down and when I think about
what we can do this week,
then I made lists for exactly that
because I also really enjoy
to try new things,
to see what it does to him
and to see where his interests lie.
At four, we still don't know
what his direction will be.
And it's so nice to give him
little impulses to see
what it does to him
and what he's really into.
For those of you who are total readers,
it's of course also really nice
when you write down which books you read
or which books you read
and which books you don't read
in one week,
that you keep track of the quote of the week.
I've already seen that,
I thought it was very nice.
Then of course I would definitely
write down the most important
data of the week,
so that I have an overview of
who has a birthday,
when is Sana's appointment,
and so on, so that I already have that.
And then also the focus of the week,
I would write down,
what I want to do this week.
And then, of course,
I'm a big fan of master to-do lists,
there would also be space for me
for a master to-do list,
where I then write down
what I want to experience this week.
This dashboard would be nothing
for me personally,
what I look at every day.
This is just my tool
to then continue to calculate
in the individual days.
This is the basis for the week
and what can I do
on which day.
These daily overviews here on the other side,
where you can see how the weekdays are built,
I would definitely write down
fixed dates, birthdays, appointments,
and so on. This is more of a
tool for me personally, to say
when someone asks me, hey, what does the week look like,
when do you have time, or when do you have time next week,
that I don't have to look at the individual days,
but just with one look see, ah, okay,
I have this and that appointment on Thursday afternoon,
I have time, then we can meet for coffee.
When I look at the individual days,
you always have the day in our design,
then the weekday, and then there is always
a small field where there is still space,
where you can tend to wear things.
I actually always have something like
birthdays in it, with my little
birthday symbol, or
if I want to bring away a package
for a birthday, or send a card for a birthday,
that's always the focus, so to speak,
then please don't forget for that day,
because I just find it very important
that you think of your loved ones,
and that's why I'm always afraid
that I'll forget something, or somehow not think,
or bring something too late to the post office,
and so on, that's why that's always my field,
but I also really like to do that,
that in the meantime I take note
of the weather a bit,
because it's actually not quite irrelevant
for my jobs, what the weather looks like.
I don't know if it's relevant for everyone,
but there are also certain hobbies that
are weather-dependent, and of course
for filming and taking pictures,
the weather is not quite irrelevant,
and that's why it's always good to
write these things down in the schedule,
just to see what we're doing best
and when in the week.
Then you have this timeline,
which I personally like to use,
but it's also, you know, very tightly printed,
so you don't have to use it,
you can just write it down,
but I like to do that when I try
these designs, that I really use
this timeline, mark it in color,
and then write down which time slot
I use for what, there are time slots
for photo sessions or whatever,
for formulating texts and so on,
and then I draw a line in the middle
and then I write down my to-do list
for this time slot next to it.
Of course, this can also be a place
for notes for this time slot,
if there's anything you want to keep
in mind, depending on what's supposed to happen.
That means for a morning routine,
you can write down very quickly,
take supplements, make a bed,
do the cat toilet and so on.
Of course, that's always interesting,
when I start to have problems,
I always notice how good it feels
to write down very boring things
that I do every day anyway,
how stupid that sounds,
but when I sit down at the calendar
and I can already erase them,
it's kind of a motivation kick,
maybe I'm just like that,
but I can recommend that if you have
a little problem with that,
just try it out, I really like that.
Downstairs you still have space,
for example, I used the space
to write down workouts or food plans,
if I notice that my food is a bit
fluctuating and I don't have a good view
of it anymore, I would write it down.
And I looked it up with you,
I thought it was a really cute idea.
I also made a little heart
and wrote down what I particularly
liked that day, what did me good,
a moment for which I am grateful
and something that just made me happy.
And I think it's also very nice,
it's also a bit good for mental health.
So, we were all able,
here it is, you have two days
each on one page and half a day
for the weekly overview
and for the weekly planning.
I still think that's totally sufficient
if you don't have a huge font
and you don't want to write down
super, super, super much.
Then I would of course put my
master to-do list on this
weekly overview page,
which is of course also very important
for me to have my goal in mind,
to formulate the focus for the week.
What do I want to do every day?
For example, if you want to get used to
taking more food supplements,
or if you say, hey, I go to bed too late,
I always want to go to bed at 10 p.m.
or if you say, I want to get back to reading,
I want to read 10 minutes every day,
that you set up as a tracker.
That you also have a bit of motivation
not to leave out a field,
but to really have everything outlined
at the end of the week.
I don't know, sometimes it's a little
thing in your head that you can
actually use more like I use the expert.
So how to write the appointments
on the page, a line in the middle
and then write the to-do's to the
respective appointments.
I always find that very helpful.
Of course, you can also just use
the calendar as a to-do list.
I did that for a while,
especially when the transition
came for me from digital plans
in combination with, so to speak,
analog plans.
But I have also seen that some
people write the to-do's
independently of the schedule.
Of course, this is also possible.
And I think on this page you can
already see how different these designs
are usable and what you can do.
You just have to sit down
and think about what exactly
do I need for my planning?
What is important to me?
And then just test what works
and see what stays.
Then we have the question,
which we have the most of you.
Do I have space for the things
that have to be done every day?
And I would personally use the pages
to have a rough overview,
so to speak, from the outside to the inside.
So I would have written down the to-do's
for the week on one page,
what is on and on the other page
something like focus for the week,
tracker and of course for me also
always very important, space for ideas,
for notes and so on, that you
write that down there too.
And then just write small to-do lists
and then print them out a bit bigger
and a bit thicker and the remaining
to-do lists just a bit more delicate,
so that I can see at a glance when
is what meeting, when is what appointment,
when is what appointment and then
also tighten my to-do lists to see
what, how, where, when is feasible and so on.
And I find that very practical and I also
totally like the look that it has,
if you really filled out this whole page
at the end of the week and I don't know
how it works for you, but when you
have written this page completely full,
and I also like, also probably
such a calendar thing, but do you know
the feeling when the calendar is so
completely described at the end of the year
and the leaves just crack when flipping?
I don't even know what it is.
It's such a nice feeling and somehow I have
that, especially when I'm free,
how I really go through the weeks and
use it as I have shown it here.
That's such a nice little extra, I think.
Then I have the minimalist and
greetings go out to my friends,
who are just really the most focused,
who are the most focused friends
you can imagine.
Most of them, who are really structured
in the head, in my circle of friends,
are the ones who have the minimalists.
That's really crazy.
That's why I got a little inspired
by what they do.
And they often do it so that
the time slots in the minimalist,
which are also a bit predetermined
by the times you have in there,
because it's a split calendar,
really limit themselves optically
to think about what they have to do,
but they know, okay, meeting is Y,
in the meeting box they have written
what I have to bring,
what address is that, what questions
do I have to answer in the meeting,
or things like family time,
what you can do there,
so you don't just struggle in there.
Of course, it's also really nice
when you have an afternoon where you say,
you know what, let's gamble together
on the couch and watch a movie
or let's gamble and do some handicrafts at home.
You can hold on to the ideas you have
so that they don't go to waste
and you can just say at that time,
okay, I have the following three ideas,
what do we want to do, what are you up to?
It's kind of really nice to see that
and a lot of people work there
before they start working
and at the end of the work in this gap
with little motivation to-do lists,
which I said earlier,
to be able to apply in the morning
when they sit down in the calendar,
okay, I made the bed,
which is exactly the same for the evening routines
and so far I have seen
that people use the place for trackers downstairs,
but I have also seen
that a bit of diary-like things
have been recorded
to combine a bit of planning
with a diary feeling in the broadest sense.
Then we have the tourist
and there you also have the week again
on two pages and half a page is space
for the week's planning in general
and the rest of the week you have
divided the days,
there I also see the most different things,
but I notice for my brain I need the structure
to really use half the page
for the master to-do list,
I just write down what I want to have done in the week
and then I split this big list
into smaller parts and the days
when I, for example, have to finish project XY,
then I write down the steps for this project
in the individual days where I want to do something for it
to really finish the project
at the end of the week
and also there I always use the beginning
to write down the weather or birthdays or something
there is still a lot of space
in spite of the very minimalistic design
and you can do a lot with it
and then we still have the creative
and of course I don't have any ideas from you yet
but a few people
have already expressed themselves
in comments and also messages to me
what you want to use it for
and to be honest I really
became a bit sentimental
I don't know, I think I told that once
that my grandparents sat down every evening
in such small calendar books
and wrote down in small columns
what happened on that day
it wasn't always big philosophical gossips
sometimes it was a walk
XY called and there was
Königsberger Klopse for dinner
so when you scroll through, you see a lot of
very simple things, but there are always
small special moments that were recorded
and I loved it
to scroll around in these little diary books
to see this writing
and yes, the things they wrote down
that were so relevant for them on that day
I have already seen that some people
picked it up because they remembered
this information from me
and said, oh great, I don't take the creative
a bit to plan, but I take it
especially for the soul
that is, they really want to use the creative side
for what we suggest, so to speak
I have a lot of creative tasks
together with a girlfriend
and also these little drawings that you can design
and that you can draw around, write, whatever
and on the other hand, that these columns
are really used as a diary
and I have to say
I didn't have that in mind when we
made the design, but to read that
I became a bit sentimental
I think that's a very
very nice idea and I'm actually
thinking about doing that for myself
that I take up the idea of my
grandparents, do it for a year
and see what it does to me
what the effect is actually of
such a diary, because I have not
really gone through it for a long time
I've always done it in sections
so that I say, okay, for a year
I commit myself to writing a diary
in such a short form, I could already imagine that
I think that's a very nice idea, so thank you very much
otherwise that was so
spontaneously my inspiration
if you have Instagram, feel free to link me
always, always, always on your calendar designs
and if you feel like reposting all of this
I've already thought about it, you could do that
then you can also write to me
and send it like that, of course I'm very happy about it
otherwise I hope very much, you are doing well
I'll drink my coffee now, continue with the planning
and we'll see each other in the next video if you like
until then, bye
