Buddy, see, this is way better than the last time because it's not 6 a.m. here.
It's 8 a.m. and we're actually awake and we're outside and we're outside and it's nice.
Do you want to pull it down a little bit? Down? Seems a little high. What is that?
Well, we're over here by the shower. We have multiple cats
and a cloud and I guess our animals just like us because they're all hanging out. Hi guys.
Anyway, good morning. Happy weekend. Did you all know there is an eclipse here in Arizona this
weekend? Starts like really soon. Yeah, we've actually got some friends coming over right
after this so that's why we're on a little bit different time today. But yeah, we're gonna
check it out. I think it'll be a lot of fun. Hi, you want me to hold you? Oh, don't hit the tripod.
Okay. Anyway, yeah, so that should be fun. Yeah. What else is going on? Gonna make some pizza
when we're done with this. Well, I'm gonna make some pizza dough because our friends are coming
over. We're gonna have a little pizza party with the eclipse going on. Nice. I think it'll be fun.
I don't know if he wants to be held. Okay, are you ready to get down? All right, here you go.
Anyway, yeah, so we're just here to hang out. We're here to hang out. And catch a little
breather from our project. Well, I mean, I mean, we're still doing it. It's just, you know,
we need a little bit of time. Yeah, so we're, I'm losing my voice. Oh my gosh. We are quite
a few days ahead as we usually are during daily projects. So we're over halfway through on our
end. You obviously haven't seen everything yet. With the 31 days. With the 31 days. Yeah. Not
with the house. Well, obviously, that's gonna take a while. But I will say we can't share
everything. But we have made some major progress in the past three or four days. I think big
milestones that we're excited to share with you. Yeah, feels good. Yeah, feels good to be
on the other side of things. It does, for sure. Yeah, so we're just hanging out here for probably
30-45 minutes this morning. We're answering questions. We're going to talk about a couple
of things you might be able to see. I have a shirt that just came in yesterday. What's on it?
I don't know. Probably cat stuff. They turn, no, just, it's fine. Anyway, they turn out really
good. Hold on a second. Let me scoot back. Oh, you got the sweatshirt? I still haven't ordered one.
Yeah, two of our kids opted for sweatshirt hoodies. Yeah, I'm a little jealous. Yeah,
and they actually feel pretty comfortable. I was surprised. I didn't know how they would turn out,
but they like them. Hats are still incoming. We don't have the hat sample here. Hold on.
You should hang it behind us like this. You can see the logo. See, what do you think?
I'm just going to cover it up. Yeah, care to scooch over? It's fine. Okay. Anyway,
yeah, so lots of stuff still going on this month. My parents are going to be here next week.
Like in a few days. Yep. That's crazy. It is crazy. They're going to stay with us for a week.
Yeah. That will be really fun. It is going to be fun. I mean, we're still going to be working.
Yeah, I was really hoping that we would be far enough ahead to where we could just take
at least four days off, but we're not. We're not. We're going to have to figure out our schedule.
Everything's fine. It'll be all right. Yeah, so they're coming next week, and then
a week after we drop them off, Hayden from Curvatexture is coming to do the workshop.
Yeah. Also, we have two birthdays in between. No, no, that's later. Sorry. No,
every morning. We have one birthday. We have one birthday in October. Yeah. Man, it's a busy month.
The workshop is still coming up, which we'll talk about later, and also the bundle is coming out in
six days. The passion to profit bundle, which is this whole thing, kind of like our off-grid bundle
that we were a part of, except this teaches you how to make income on the side, to actually
afford to live this way. It's actually, like some people think, you know, I'm going to go live
off-grid, and everything's going to be so cheap. It's not. Not up front, at least. There are
definitely ways to sort of, you know, build out a system to be more self-sustainable, but
the startup to do that, it's a lot. Yeah. To build a structure to live in, to have power, and figure
out water. It's, well, also probably depends on where you are. For us here, like water is a huge
issue. That's a huge investment to, like, get tanks and build roofs. Yeah. But, you know, it's
different everywhere you go. For sure. So, we'll come back later to this video. We'll put in a
link. I've set up, like, a little email list if you want to get notified when the bundle comes out.
I mean, we'll still be doing videos the 20th. 20th. The 20th, yeah. Okay. And it looks like there's a
lot of really good resources, and it covers, like, the full gamut. You know, ours is going to be about
doing daily videos on YouTube, but then, I mean, there's all kinds of other different ways to make
money on the internets and remotely. So, yeah, there's lots of interesting and unique approaches.
You know, it's not just our approach, which is cool because, you know, not everybody wants to
be a YouTuber, right? Not everybody. It's a lot of work. It's all a lot of work, but, you know,
I think it's worth it. So, yeah. So, the bundle's coming out the 20th, and then, like you said,
the workshop after that, and then we're taking a really long nap. We may be gone from the end of
November until January. No, no, we won't. No, we have so much to do. We can't take that much off,
but I do want to take some time to, like, you know, hang out with the kids and do something fun.
For sure. We definitely need some down time once we get through the middle of November. And friend
time. I would like to have a group of people over. Can we have some people over? Pizzas? Yeah, like
a pizza party? Pizzas in the pizza oven? Like a chill pizza night? Yeah. Can we talk about our
pizza oven real quick? Oh, my gosh. Because we haven't officially talked about it. We need to
officially talk about it. We should officially talk about it. I know. Well, no. We need to do,
like, a thing. Anyway, yeah. The pizza oven that Fontana sent us is pretty impressive. Yeah.
I, I'm shocked that it, seriously, I cook the pizza in, like, two minutes. Yeah. Like,
I can't make food that fast in the Airstream. No. But I, like, so what I do on pizza days,
when I know that I don't have a lot planned and I have pizza toppings. First thing in the morning,
I make my pizza crust. Right. And then by lunch, all you have to do is roll it out and, like,
throw it in the oven and it's ready to eat in two minutes. Throw your toppings on, you're good to go.
I love that thing. So. Also, it doesn't, sorry, do you want me to keep talking about it? No, it's
fine. You go ahead. The outside, like, you can touch it. Yeah. I, I cook my pizza at, like,
720-ish. And I can touch the outside of the pizza oven. Yeah, so I think what's neat about this is,
number one, it's really small. And look, there's a lot of these things that you can buy on the
market, right? Careful what you say. A lot of them are made, um. Overseas. Well, this is made overseas
too. This is actually made in Italy. So there's a lot of, like, cheaper versions, right? You,
you can get an oven like this for cheaper. Uh, but this is made in Italy. And like you said,
I mean, it'll get up to 900 degrees and you, it is not hot around that. Like, it doesn't heat up
the immediate area. Yeah. I was afraid about setting it up near the Airstream because
I was afraid that it was going to, like, get really hot in there. Like, it's, it's, you can't
even tell that it's on. There's definitely, yeah, it's, you know, you get what you pay for. There's
definitely a difference in, in buying something that's authentically made. It's a family-owned
company. Um, so we were pretty excited when, when they reached out to us and they're like,
we would like to do something together. And we're like, we would like to make pizzas. Yeah. Yeah.
I've made some really good pizzas. I think my favorite has been the barbecue pork. And then
I put pineapple on it and then red onion and topped with cilantro. Yeah. That just, that
combination of that tinny. Oh, yeah. So good. I will say though, that like, even just like the
simple pepperoni and cheese, like the way that it broils the top of it is so good. It broils
those pepperonis and they, they curl and then the edges get crispy and then your cheese is super
melty. Oh, it's so good. We should probably stop talking about it because people are going to get
hungry. Hold on a second. A little slower than the actual cell signal out here, which is bonkers
because our wifi is coming from the cell signal. Wifi. Uh, okay. So what else should we do?
What else can we talk about? Did we talk about the workshop? No. No. I don't remember. Did we,
did we talk about dome? Just briefly. Because we recorded some other stuff earlier. Now I'm
confused on what we should talk about. No, I think we can do what we recorded. Okay. So you'll see
this in tomorrow's video, but we're going to talk about it anyway. Um, so the super WR shop
is November 11th through the 17th here on our property. Um, we're not teaching it. No, we're
learning with everybody. Yes. Which I'm excited about to not have that responsibility. I know.
Well, I'm so we will be teaching some stuff. Um, but the actual, uh, teaching how to build
will be taught by Hayden from curvature. He's coming from Australia. And, um, so what we're
building is a nine foot super Adobe dome, right? Just, it's just like a guest room. It's barely
big enough inside to have like a pullout couch that turns into a bed. Yeah. It's pretty much it.
That's what I want to have. I don't think I want to put a bed in there. I would like to have a
couch that turns into a bed because that way when people aren't in there, the kids can have room to
go in there and hang out and like do fun stuff. Yeah, for sure. Although there's not any power
in there. Well, there might be power. We're still thinking about power. Um, we're thinking about
venting. Definitely going to be ventilation for sure. It'd be definitely a door obviously,
but also at least one window, some bottle bricks. I'm hoping I can squeeze two windows in there,
but we still got to run that by Hayden and see if that's doable. We're still doing some planning
for sure. Um, but yeah, so the idea is that the seven day workshop, we will lay, we will build
this dome from the bottom and we will cap the dome by the end of the week. That is the goal.
Um, then obviously we'll have to come back later and do the plastering. We'll, we'll be stuccoing
at that point because that's what we've learned is we've got to stucco in Alaska. On the outside.
Right. Yeah. I'm excited to try. So these bags are much different than our hyper adobe bags. Yes. So
I'm curious as to how the cob on the inside, cause I want to do a natural plaster on the inside.
I want to see how that's going to work out or not. Right. Yeah. We haven't decided how we're
going to do the floor. Are we going to do a cob floor or are we going to do earthen floor,
cement? I really like our floor in here. I do too. And I feel like that would be a good thing
for a guest room instead of concrete. Yeah, I agree. It'd probably stay, I feel like it would,
it would do temperature better. You know what we should try? Uh. We should try putting insulation
down to keep that. Under? Well, then that breaks your connection to the ground. That's true. Yeah.
Maybe we'll just do an earthen floor and put a nice rug out and have slippers for our guests.
Slippers hanging on the wall. In case it's cold. I still like your idea of a wood stove. There's no
room, but a wood stove would be cool. There's room. Not if the bed comes up. Not if you make it
into a bed. I know how to do it. Okay. Space saving time. Also, there's a company called
Tiny Wood Stove that might, I mean, they have really tiny stoves. It's such a small
room. It would probably work really well. Yeah. Just throw some twigs in there.
One mesquite twig at a time. No, it'll be fine. Everything will be fine. I think it would work
out really nice. Okay. What if we take that over? Are we going to end up sleeping there? If there's
a wood stove in there, I might end up sleeping in there. I don't know. I think we talked about
maybe Adelaide. Oh, that's right. With the dogs. Yeah. Yeah. To where the kids have a little more
room. A little more space in the Airstream. We'll see. Who knows? Guys, it's a nine foot dome.
Right. But otherwise, it'll be just like a guest room when people come to visit.
Like family. Not Randos. Or me. Or you. That's your punishment when you act a fool.
Okay. I think it's time to answer some questions. Did you just say act a fool? Yeah. Is that what
you said? You can't edit it. All right. We are scrolling back to the top of the comments.
We're going to try to answer some questions. Good morning, everybody.
We are going to try to get some eclipse footage when it starts later today, for sure. Yeah. Not
sure how that'll work. We're going to have to look it up, but we're going to do it.
We'll just go like this. Yeah. Someone said, we can see the roll of bags behind you,
which tells us you've started the bagging process. No, we haven't, actually.
There are rolls of bags, but they've been there since we got done with this.
Basically, when we finished the shower, we moved our whole setup over to where we think we're going
to be building on the house, but we haven't laid any actual bags out. We're not quite there yet.
We're a ways away. Yeah. But we are making good progress. Yeah. No, we really are. I know we keep
saying that, but seriously, it's just time-consuming. There's so many steps before
we can get to the bags. That's true. Yeah. Checking all the things, and we want that
foundation 100%. Yes. Yes. This is interesting. Someone said there's a garage door where they're
moving in that was burned and linseed oil treated, and it's still going strong in Germany
15 years later. Wow. That's pretty cool. Good to know. That's good to know.
People always ask why our lives are quieter than our videos. The thing is, when you edit a video,
you can do things to the audio to make it louder. When you're doing a live, we're just using our
phones. There's not really a lot we can do, so we just have to talk a little louder, and you've got
to turn it up a little bit more. Look at our background. I know. It looks fake. I know. I
promise. It looks like we're on the big screen. Like we're cut out. The reason for that is because
we're in the shadow, because the solar shed is right here. What it's trying to do is it's trying
to brighten the background behind us, but also keep us bright. It's working really hard, and
sometimes it looks weird. It's cool. It's neat looking. It looks fake. All right. We're getting
this question a lot. We're probably going to need to do a video about this soon. Super Adobe
versus Hyper Adobe. What is the difference? You can explain. All right. Super Adobe, Hyper Adobe
bags, they're sort of two different styles of bags. The Super Adobe bag is completely enclosed.
It's woven together, and you need to use courses of barbed wire between each layer to lock the
layers together, because the bags are very slippery, and they can slide off of each other.
That barbed wire does create, what do you call it? A tensile strength, and it basically locks
all of those layers together as sort of one piece, right? Also, when you're building a dome
with Super Adobe, it all compresses on each other, and everything's so evenly distributed.
It's not going to go anywhere. That's why they're really great for earthquake areas.
Yeah. They actually put a dome on an earthquake machine, and I was reading about this the other
day. I think it broke the earthquake machine, because they couldn't get it to fall apart or
whatever, because it is all connected together. Now, the downsides of Super Adobe are that the
bags are a lot more expensive. They deteriorate really fast. They deteriorate in the sun,
which is a problem, at least where we live. Not necessarily a problem in other climates,
but here in the desert, the bags can fall apart before you even get finished building the thing.
That's pretty much it. I mean, just the cost. The reason we've done a lot of Hyper Adobe bags is
they're a woven mesh bag, and so you don't need barbed wire in between the layers, because
the holes in the bag let the material from the lower bag attach to the material in the upper bag.
At least the bags we get are UV treated, and so they just are fine for years. They don't fall apart.
Also, they can act as a lath to attach your material to, and you can still attach the
material to the Super Adobe, but it's so slippery. It's just a little bit difficult. Why are you
laughing at me like that? I'm just looking at you. I'm not laughing. Hyper Adobe is a lot cheaper.
Hyper Adobe is a lot cheaper. That's one of the reasons we ended up doing it now,
but the biggest thing is we don't know if you can do a dome with Hyper Adobe.
We are going to attempt it at some point.
Right, but the barbed wire thing wouldn't really work with the Hyper Adobe bags, because they have
a bunch of little holes in them, and it wouldn't grip into the bag the same way that it would into
the Super Adobe bags. That's why we're excited for this workshop coming up, because we want to
see the specifics of how the stone works and see if there's a way that we can apply those
principles to Hyper Adobe or not, because we've seen some people try, and it hasn't worked out
too great. We've seen three attempts and three collapses. Yeah, so I don't know. Maybe we'll
figure it out. Maybe not. I have some ideas about a way to create instead of barbed wire.
I have some ideas. Yeah, but either way, we think Hyper Adobe is really good for going
straight up vertically and then putting a roof on, which domes are really cool, and there's a lot of
reasons you would want to do a dome. In our climate here, we're just trying to catch water, so more
traditional roofs make a little more sense for us, but we like both of them, so that's why we're
doing a dome soon. That was a really long answer to what's the difference between Hyper Adobe and
Hyper Adobe. You really honestly zoned out quite a bit when you were talking. I was just looking at
your beautiful white beard. My beautiful old man beard? No, I like it. Remember I said I always
wanted you to have white hair? Well, you got your wish. Building out here is whitened my beard real
quick. You can have a white beard, and I'll have white dreads. Okay. It'll be really cute. White
dreads. Let's see. Do we use Starlink? No, we don't. Their upload speeds were garbage compared
to our cell phone plan. I think you guys said it a little nicer. Download speeds are great,
but its upload speeds are not great, and we upload video all the time, and so we can't be sitting
around waiting on video to upload. For now, we're still using the internet setup from our Airstream,
which is a cell hotspot-based plan. We've got some boosters so that it's faster, some antennas,
and stuff like that. We have on our website a whole thing about how we set it up. It's
tinyshinyhome.com slash internet. What? Is there a question that I can answer? Hold on. Hold on.
What was the name of the company that makes the small wood stoves? You can answer that question.
Tiny Wood Stove. Excellent. It's either Tiny Wood Stove or Tiny Stove. I think it might be
tinystove.com. What time is the eclipse? It starts at 8.15. Oh, it's already started.
I think 9.30-ish our time is when it's supposed to be. The best time? Yeah. Here's a good question
you can answer. Nomad Beads says, I love the use of glass bottles. Will you be integrating
into the house as well? So many glass projects in the house. We were just talking about this today.
Now, I need you to be a little more supportive about my bottle endeavor. I just need you to know
I kind of had my fill of bottles with the shower project here. This was nothing compared to what's
going to be the house. I just need some time. I just need some time to come back around to them.
Well, you have plenty of time. I know. Everything's okay. Just know this is a baby
compared to what is going to be in the big boy house. But it's in pieces. It's in pieces, right?
It's big boy house. So yes, lots of bottles apparently. Do you want to talk about any of
your specific bottle plans? I don't really want to because it's going to be so up here that I
want it to be like a surprise. Okay. All right. Just know it's going to be really rad and there'll
be so many. So if anybody drinks Sapphire Gin in the county and wants to bring me your used bottles.
Oh yeah. Those bottles are so cool. I don't have enough yet and we don't drink. Nope. Okay. Here's
a good question. Anna Banana Republic says, I like your username, says, can we still sign up for
a single day of the workshop? Yes. Tuesday would be a great day for you to sign up because we don't
have enough people on Tuesday. But sign up wherever you would like. Yep. If you try to sign up on a day
and it's full, it will tell you because we do have it capped at how many you can do each day.
I know Friday is full and there's another day. I thought Friday had one spot left.
Somebody else signed up. Okay. So Friday's full and there's another day that's pretty close to
being full. But if you watch, was it yesterday's video? No, it was like a day. Guys, the daily
videos are really running together. There is a day recently where I got the notebook out and I
actually calculated how many days were left. Do you want me to go get the note? I'll link it
here somewhere if I can remember to come back. Okay. So how often do we get water?
Well, it depends on the time of year. Yeah. Usually, like last summer, it rained so much
we didn't get water in the summer. We didn't get water until like January last year. And we had a
good winter though. We didn't hardly have to go to the well share at all, all winter because it
kept raining. But then the summer has been terrible. Yeah. I actually have to go get water
today because this tank is our shower tank. It's our drip irrigation. It's our laundry.
It's getting a lot of usage. Yeah. The Airstream one, we hardly ever fill up because we're just
not using that much water. It's like we moved all our water over here. Yeah. And it's a smaller
tank. So it may be not a great idea. We can't get a bigger one. No, we can't add to it because
there's no room. Anyway, I do need to fill this water tank up today. Yeah. It's not too far. It's
like 10 or 15 minutes away. You know what I would like to do? This is a long thing. Do you want me to
tell you? Sure. Okay. The goats need a better barn. I know. Don't. Don't. What are you talking
about? No, listen. The goats need a better barn with water catchment because right now I have to
go fill up that water tank all the time. Animal water tank, especially with the pigs. The pigs
have become a problem. Here's what the pigs do. As soon as you take the water bucket out,
they knock it out of your hand and then you go get more water and they try to do it again and you
barely get it into their water bowl thing and then they sit in it or they throw it around.
So it's like every two hours we're going out giving them more water because they're dumb,
but they go to the freezer soon. So everything's fine. Okay. Next question. That wasn't even a
question. Although I do need a barn. I need to know the barn. Listen, animal stuff is going to
have to wait. Well, we got to build a house. I know, but we might be able to do two things at
the same time. We're already doing the dome. I know. When that's done, then we'll need another
project. Sorry. Hold on. I got lost in my comments here. Look at it. It looks so fake on that.
I know. We need to scoot. There we go. Let's see. Do you want to answer this question?
No. Okay. Sorry. Not answering that one. There's some things that we can keep between our family.
Yeah. Sorry, guys. Slowing down. Does the pizza oven use propane? Yes, it does. Although they
have several. They have a wood-burning pizza oven, and they have a hybrid. So you can start
it on propane, but you can also put your wood in there. So you get that smoky, but it still cooks
really fast and it heats up faster. I would love to have one. One day, here's my plan. One day,
I would like to build a really cool area for our friends and family to come.
It's like an outdoor. It's got a roof over it. Almost like a giant gazebo, but not a gazebo.
Like a cool structure, and it will have picnic tables in it, and it will have... Maybe not.
Well, yeah. It'll have some kind of table. Maybe not picnic tables, but-
Tables. Yes.
And then I want a hyper-Adobe bench that goes around it, where everybody can sit and hang out,
and it's round, where you can talk to everybody. And then I also want, broken up in that bench,
a place to put a wood-burning pizza oven. And in the center of the building will be a big table,
so you can put all your food out, and people can come and make their own pizzas on Friday nights.
You know what I think would be great in the middle of that?
What?
A hibachi grill.
Yes.
Pizza oven slash hibachi grill. We're going real American.
That sounds really good.
And then on the other side is a giant grill for burgers.
Right. Yeah.
Yeah. A smoker.
Listen, I saw a comment the other day, and someone was like,
man, when you get done with your house, are you guys still going to be here doing stuff?
I mean, just listen to all the ideas. They just explode.
Well, we also have four kids that we're going to build houses for, so there's that.
We'll be doing stuff for a while. Don't worry.
We have so many plans. One day, I hope to have a tractor where we can do a lot of earthworks on
this. I keep having dreams of berms and these areas down the road, where our driveway is,
where it's almost like squares that are dug down a little, kind of like a big basin,
and then basin to basin to basin with water that can drain out of that first basin and go to the
second basin. And then I keep having dreams that it's really big and grassy.
Okay.
And I want bamboo. There's so many things I want.
I know.
We also have a bunch of fencing projects that we need to do soon.
There is no shortage of stuffs, for sure.
Yeah.
Also need more animals.
Okay. All right. Okay. Are you ready to answer a question?
Yeah.
Okay.
What do you mean?
Are you ready?
I'm ready.
Okay. Someone says, do you drink rainwater? Do you filter it?
Yes and yes.
Yeah. We have a filter over at the Airstream.
Well, we have a filter in the pump house that is like a descaler and a whole house filter.
Right.
And then anything that we drink also goes through a Berkey filter.
Yep.
Super filtered.
Yep. Are you going to start your bottle bricks early so it's not such a big deal?
Nope.
And we haven't planned that far ahead.
No, we have so much to do before that. Nope. We wouldn't have a place to store them if we did.
Have we ever thought about getting a trailer to haul more water? Of course.
We would love to have a trailer. You can leave your donations at this point.
And guys, like we mentioned-
It would be so much faster if we had a trailer where we could put two IBC totes on
or we could just buy an old water truck.
Yeah. I mean, like we mentioned at the beginning of the video
with this whole passion to profit bundle thing, like moving out here,
you need to spend a small fortune on things and some things get prioritized and some don't.
And for us, because we can put an IBC tote in just the bed of our truck,
a trailer just hasn't been prioritized.
But imagine if we could put an IBC tote in the bed of our truck and two on a trailer,
we would haul three times faster and we would use less gas.
Yeah, that's true.
It would be great, but you know,
there are more important things that we have to pay for right now.
Oh, okay. We need to answer this question.
Okay.
How many bottles did we use?
Oh, yeah. We never really publicly said.
We said in the last live.
We keep scooting over.
We did in the last live.
744.
744 bottles, which is-
327.
Bricks. Yes. That's it.
We had one person gas.
We had one person who paused the video and counted.
Like left us timestamps of how they figured it out.
Super accurate.
It was very-
I was impressed.
I sent her something because that was awesome.
And then like one or two more people guessed it afterwards.
Yeah, but that first person, they got it way before everybody else.
So do you remember their name?
Karen.
Way to go, Karen.
With an I.
744 bottles.
Havasu sent us some Talking Irons money.
Thank you.
We were just saying we haven't made it to the coffee shop this weekend.
We need to.
All right, I'm going to answer this once and for all.
Is it serious?
People keep asking about the chicken garden.
Oh.
And like-
Well, you know it's not going to be once and for all because-
I just-
Like we got to build a house.
The chicken garden is functional.
It's not anywhere close to being done.
Oh, yeah, it is.
We just got to finish the plastering.
No.
Yeah.
No.
That's not all we have to do.
We have to stucco the entire thing.
Yeah.
And we have to paint the entire thing.
Yeah.
Then I have to bring in dirt for the entire thing.
The garden part of it is definitely on hold.
But the chicken part of it is fully functional.
We use it every day.
And no, we're not going to be working on it anytime soon.
I don't know.
Because we really-
I would love to, but-
Well, we have to do the house.
It's going to cost a small fortune to buy the stucco for that.
And we need to put all of our money towards the house right now.
So.
And not just money, but like, you know, as part of the owner builder opt-out,
we have to send updates every six months that we're showing progress on the house.
So we really can't get distracted with other projects now that we're moving into the house.
Not even a goat barn?
Not even a goat barn.
We got to keep moving.
Otherwise, they're going to make us get a whole new permit if we don't show enough progress,
which is no good.
Don't want that.
Maybe Adelaide can work on it in her spare time.
She doesn't have spare time.
Well, if she wants a goat barn, she's going to have to make some spare time.
Maybe we'll give the kids a side project.
We'll be like, guys, you build the goat barn.
Have fun.
That would be amazing.
You know they could do it.
They probably could do it.
I bet they could.
They don't want to-
Adelaide was talking she would like to use Miracle Trust instead of-
Instead of earthbags?
Yeah, that would be nice.
Because she wants a concrete floor and she wants to be able to spray the walls down.
Yeah.
So anyway, that was a weird side.
Well, I just like every, I don't know, 20th comment on YouTube is like,
what about the chicken garden?
We had somebody that left a comment and said,
I love you guys' content, but I will no longer be watching
because you are moving on to a different project without finishing this one.
Does everybody finish one project before they move on to the next?
Real life is not linear.
My goodness.
Anyway.
I thought that was random.
Yeah.
Okay, guys.
Is there any more questions?
I don't know.
Let's see.
Remember, we have to wrap this up because our friends are coming over.
We still got a little bit.
What are we going to be using the dome for?
Guest room.
We talked about that earlier.
Is there a pond in the future?
Definitely.
At least one.
Some ponds.
Yeah.
One swimming pond and we hope to eventually have an irrigation pond,
but that's much on down the road.
Yeah, we'll get there eventually.
Uh, since we did start using the chicken garden,
have we had any problems with chickens escaping or anything getting in?
No, but Adelaide did see a coyote walk in the fence line behind the chicken garden.
Yeah.
And so we know that he knows that they're there,
but I still just don't think there's any way he can get in.
No, I think even...
He'd have to be real crafty to get in.
Even if he went through the electric fence,
which we haven't had any coyotes come through the electric fence,
um, cloud would probably know he's there.
Unless it's during the day.
I don't know how...
That's true.
I mean, I think he would still smell it.
I mean, he's resting during the day.
I mean, he's been pretty active during the day recently because of all the cows.
Yeah.
Every time there's a cow nearby,
he like flips out and goes and barks at it,
which is really funny.
Yeah, he's definitely snoozing right now.
That's adorable.
He does his job.
He barks all night.
He runs around.
See, we also need to do a little tiny side project that won't take me too long,
like a weekend.
I need to build him a doghouse before winter.
Well, that is true.
He definitely needs a doghouse, a place,
because you would think with all these buildings we built,
there would be a good like sheltered from the rain spot,
but there's not really unless you're actually inside the building.
Yeah.
So we definitely need to build some sort of...
He hates the rain.
I know, he doesn't like getting wet.
So we need to get that done.
I agree.
We will have to do a small side project for cloud at some point.
Oh, thanks.
He deserves it.
He does.
He works real hard.
Yeah.
He's a good boy.
Yes, cloud is an outside dog.
He is our protector of the property.
Yep.
Trona protects the goats in the goat paddock.
Cloud runs the whole Finstead in five acres.
Right, yeah.
So I see people getting a little confused because they're like,
today I only saw three dogs.
And so Trona stays in the animal paddock most of the time.
She comes out in the morning to play with the dogs and to have breakfast with them.
And then she comes back out in the evening for dinner and playing.
Yeah, so morning and evening playing.
But so like if we're out working in the middle of the day,
it depends on what we're doing.
Cloud is always out, but then the doodles sometimes will let them out
if they're not too destructive.
Well, lately they haven't been out because we're doing things
the trenching and the plumbing.
And like they keep knocking dirt off the sides of the trenches and messing things up.
So once we, especially once we get started on the earthbags and we get up a little bit
and fill in around that, I think they'll be out a lot more for sure.
Well, even when we cover up the pipes in the ground, then.
That's true.
Yeah, that alone.
They'll be able to come out.
Yeah.
Yeah, there they go barking.
They just discovered we're out here.
Oops, they just heard us.
Have we ever found anything interesting while digging?
No.
Well, I thought Jet found an arrowhead.
Jet found an arrowhead.
It wasn't when we were digging.
It was in the driveway.
That's weird.
Yeah.
And the girls have found pottery on their horse rides in washes.
Yeah, that's about it.
Yeah, you would think with all the digging we do, we would have found something,
but not really.
I know.
I keep hoping that maybe we'll discover something like dinosaur bone or something.
I know.
And then we'll get lots of money.
We'll be real famous because we found an extinct dinosaur bone.
Or if we found a cave on our property.
If I found a cave on my property, I would never tell anyone.
Be a super secret.
Oh my gosh, we would live underground.
We would never tell anybody.
We would live underground?
I would.
No, I don't want to live underground.
I would put the house under there.
I mean, I would want a room under there.
Can you imagine if you were the ones that found Karchner Caverns?
I would never tell somebody about that.
They probably didn't for a long time.
They didn't.
It was like 15 years.
Smart.
Yeah, real smart.
Yeah, anyway, I would do wish I had a cave on my property.
Who knows?
We don't have enough rock.
It's all sand.
Yeah.
Probably no cave.
Probably not.
We could make one.
Well, yeah.
Okay.
Well, guys, that's it.
Okay, so I think we're going to start winding down.
So let's recap.
Sorry.
Let's recap.
Oh my gosh, what are you doing?
First of all, shirts came in.
Yep.
And see, this is a hoodie that one of the kids got.
So you can go get those.

The workshop is still November 11th through 17th.
We've got over half of the spots filled.
And so if you want to come, like we said, there are a few daily spots left.
But also there's, I think, four of the full week spots left.
We're still doing some planning on the dome.
But we're going to use it as a guest room, basically.
That's the plan.
And it's going to look really cool.
I mean, you know, it's going to look really cool.
Yeah.
Also, my parents are coming next week.
And the Passion Profit Bundle is coming out on October 20th.
Yeah.
And we have a really cool course in there.
Yes, we do.
About YouTubing.
Yeah.
That was a real hard sell right there, wasn't it?
It was a great course.
It was.
Yeah.
We have a great course.
We'll talk about it more later.
Yeah.
There's some other good stuff in there.
It's not just us.
That's true.
There's so much stuff in that.
Yeah.
We need to go look at that and see everything.
Yeah.
We had a couple of people send us messages that want to work with us on stuff like that.
What are you talking about?
I will tell you later.
OK, guys, that's it.
Words.
We need to go make some food.
Yeah.
We got to get ready for people coming over.
We got to get ready for the eclipse.
We got some friends coming over to see the eclipse.
We got to work today.
We do.
We got lots going on this weekend.
Yeah.
Sammy says bye.
So anyway, we hope you all have an awesome weekend.
Thanks for hanging out with us this morning.
We'll be back tomorrow with another video.
Yeah.
It's almost ready.
All right.
So we'll see you then.
Bye.
