No one has ev-er gone in-to heav-en,
ex-cept the one who came down from heav-en,
the Son of Man.
Just as Mos-es lift-ed up the snake in the wil-der-ness,
e'en so must the Son of Man be lift-ed up,
that who-ev-er be-lieves in Him
should not per-ish but have e-ter-nal life.
For God so loved the world
that He gave His on-ly be-got-ten Son,
that who-ev-er be-lieves in Him
should not per-ish but have e-ter-nal life.
For God did not send His Son in-to the world
to con-demn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who be-lieves in Him is not con-demned;
but he who does not be-lieve is con-demned al-read-y,
'cause he has not be-lieved
in the name of God's on-ly be-got-ten Son.
And this is the con-dem-na-tion,
that the Light has come in-to the world,
and men loved dark-ness rath-er than Light,
be-cause their ac-tions were e-vil.
Eve-ry-one who does e-vil hates the Light,
and will not come to the Light
for fear that their deeds will be ex-posed.
But who-ev-er does the truth comes to the Light,
that his deeds may be clear-ly seen,
that they have been done in God.
