The National Museum of Vietnamese Culture chose to introduce paintings with diverse themes.
The exhibition introduces more than 50 paintings selected from Moritz Durang's collection of Vietnamese folk paintings.
Published by Eiffel, the exhibition introduces a large part of the collection,
more than 400 folk paintings collected by Moritz Durang since 1940 in Hanoi,
with the support of scholars such as Trần Văn Giáp, Trần Huy Bá, Luis Benjassia and Paul Lespy.
This is arguably the most important collection that has been preserved to this day.
The paintings are displayed with very diverse themes,
ranging from small daily life tasks,
to constructions, religious and linguistic practices,
to painting of chivalrous centers,
to painting of four seasons of literature history.
The exhibition also introduces the results of research in the field of folk art
through the combination of the delicate description of the process of painting,
the types of paintings, and the analysis of themes in the context of culture and history.
Residents of the capital and international tourists can still come to the Hanoi Dragon Heritage Conservation Center
No. 9, Hoang Dieu Street, Ba Dinh to visit and admire the paintings on display here.
