Democratic House Rep Rashida Tlaib has responded to the criticism surrounding the Palestinian flag flying outside of her office. Let's talk about it
How's everybody doing? My name is Anthony Brian Logan and today we got to talk about a Democratic House rep from Michigan Rashida Tlaib
Responding to the criticism surrounding the Palestinian flag flying outside of her office. Now this is
Gonna be a thing that might get me in trouble
some might be offended but I implore all you guys to watch the entire video and
hear me out completely and before we get into a
Reporter asking her certain questions that she didn't want to answer and then some of her colleagues defending her and finally her
response to all of what's happening
Let's take a look at
The entire picture what I showed you in the beginning didn't show you everything
Okay, we have some u.s. Flags right here
We had the Palestinian flag and then we have the LGBT flag now that didn't really go together the LGBT and the Palestine flag
That doesn't match
I saw a hilarious meme from Babylon B where the LGBT flag was thrown off the roof by the Palestinian flag
Brilliant guys over there at Babylon B fantastic meme
But that's pretty much how it would go over in that particular part of the world
The LGBTQ does not really mix with the Islamic culture
But different story I digress this is a scene outside of our office
and of course this caused quite a bit of controversy people are upset they don't like what's happening and a
Reporter asked miss Rashida to leave a few questions about this particular thing and
If you want to see this video and more I will link to it in the description
If you're an IG visit a link in the bio go to the corresponding article on the website
But without further ado, let's go ahead and roll it
About
Now we all know what's going on over in that part of the world right now with Israel and
Gaza and Hamas and their conflict and I'm not quite sure when this flag appeared
I'm not sure if she put the flag out there right when the conflict happened or if it was always right there
Because understand this Rashida Tlaib is actually Palestinian and I'm gonna talk about that a little bit more a little bit later
Outside your office if you do not condone what Hamas terrorism does it is real
Do Israeli lives not matter to you
Okay, so that's what's happening right there. She refused to answer those questions now
This is gonna be Stanley Hoyer defending where she did to leave and I think he made some sense here
And again, I know some are not gonna like what I'm saying
But I implore you to stay throughout the entire video. It'll all make sense in the end
She still have the Palestinian flag outside of her office, I don't know what she's Palestinian
You know, that doesn't mean she's a terrorist. It doesn't mean that she condones this Rashida. I
Fly a Danish flag in at my house
It doesn't mean what
Have you been supportive of her comments? I
disagree with some of her comments and
Also, if you notice he's wearing a pin it's kind of hard to see but the pin has the US flag and the Ukraine flag
On it. I'm gonna talk about all that in a minute y'all hang tight
She lamented the death on both sides
And I think she she condemned I don't have her statement right in front of it she condemned
terrorist activity
All right, so I mean what he said right there made sense now Rashida Tlaib is actually Palestinian
All right. She is let's let's go back
Now some may say that Palestine doesn't exist. Well, let me ask you a question and to anyone that says a Palestine doesn't exist
Let's have this question and answer segment right now
now her parents are
Literally from West Bank
Literally, I think her dad's from East Jerusalem, okay
so is she Israeli now if she's not Israeli and
Palestine doesn't exist and this land is controlled by the Israelis. Then what is she?
Again, she's a first-generation immigrant to America her parents both her parents mom and dad are from West Bank
What is that? Is it Israel if that is and that means she's Israeli
But if she does not count as an Israeli then she's something else right
Palestinian, correct. So she is Palestinian now
It's kind of hard to tell somebody who is
Palestinian to not fly
Their flag because of what the government of Gaza Hamas is doing
It'd be the same thing as somebody trying to tell me don't fly the American flag because of what Joe Biden and Democrats are doing
I don't condone all of what America does
overseas drone striking civilians innocent people
Funding the war in Ukraine
allowing for thousands of
Ukrainians and Russians to die all because of our needs over here in the West. I don't condone that that doesn't mean I hate America
I don't hate myself
It just means that I support my country by flying the American flag and I can still criticize my country at the same time
Okay, so, you know what a solution would be
Let's not fly any other flags
on a hill aside from
American flags meaning the US flag military flags and also the flag of your state
Then in this LGBTQ stuff, no Palestine flags. No Ukraine flags. No Israel flags
No other nations flags aside from our own
Mean let's let you go into a consulate or something like that have the flag fly outside the consulate of the particular place in DC
But like right here in the capital and people's offices
Let's have it be u.s
flags only
That solved a problem
So nobody can say oh you're loyal to that country. You're loyal to that country your country did this your country did that no
U.s. Flags only problem solved by the being bought a boom easy now
Let's go to Rashida Tlaib's response because she did respond here and I don't have a video of her saying anything
But there's an article
This is on Michigan advance
It says to lead response to critics regarding her stance on violence in Israel and Gaza. Let's check it out
all right, so
she says I
Do not support the targeting and killing of civilians whether in Israel or Palestine
Tali first told the events on Wednesday the fact that someone suggested otherwise is offensive and rooted and bigoted assumptions about my faith and
Ethnicity. Well, I mean, I'm not gonna go that far
I think some are going to see the Palestinian flag and then have they're gonna get they're gonna get triggered not, you know
Thinking to ask you anything else to make it just make assumptions so I could understand that but at the same time again
Let's not have any other nation's flag flown aside from our own on the hill in the first statement on Sunday
Talib said she grieved the loss of Palestinian and Israeli lives
But did not mention Hamas while calling for ending the occupation and dismantling the apartheid system now
This is gonna be controversial because some are going to say well
Palestine isn't really a real place. But look Gaza Strip is controlled by a
Blockade on the Mediterranean Sea. There's a border wall. There's a no-go zone and there's also a
Crossing with them in Egypt that's kind of guarded and blocked as well
It's I mean if that's Israel
Then what do we have with Gaza? Like what is going on there?
So I'm gonna say well, we know who the enemy is where the threat comes from
Well what I think the average age of people on the Gaza Strip is 18
Half populations under the age of 18 a lot of youth a lot of money a lot of kids
So we're gonna just say we're gonna lock the kids up and put him in this open-air type place
because
Some may be a threat from that part. I don't know. I don't know. I'm just asking you guys what's going on?
She says I grieved the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday today and every day
I am determined as ever to fight for a just future where everyone can live in peace
without fear and wish true freedom equal rights and human dignity the path to that future must include lifting the blockade ending the occupation and
Dismantling the apartheid system that creates suffocating
dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance
The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege occupation and apartheid makes no one safer
No person no child anywhere you have to suffer or live in fear of violence
We cannot ignore the humanity in each other as long as our country provides billions and unconditional funding to support
The apartheid government this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue now
That's gonna be very controversial to say I would say let's end all this foreign aid
It doesn't matter to what country it's to Ukraine Israel, whatever. I say end it all
That's just me though. Somebody's gonna say we should do it. Somebody's gonna say that we shouldn't at the end of the day
she says that she limits the loss of life on both sides Israel and
Palestinian now as I close I'm gonna say this to wrap it on up put the boat clean on top
if we're talking about war enemy combatants, I
Think that they should fight each other. I don't think it's okay to
Target
Innocent people. I don't care who's doing what I don't care what country I don't care if it's Palestine Israel Hamas
IDF I don't care who's fighting who's doing what?
Nobody should be targeting innocent people point-blank period
Nobody and just because one side does it does not mean it's right when the other side does it in return?
Let's focus on fighting each other
Just like when they found some I've been lying as far as I know the strategy was not let's delete the entire Pakistan to find
Been lying. No
Use intelligence go to where he is and then take him out right there
If that's what you're gonna do fight the enemy combatants
Not the innocent civilians and when I say fight I'm talking about with
artillery with things like starvation
blockades
Things of that nature that shouldn't be done to innocent people regardless of what race color religion you are
and I think I'll leave that right there for now and
What say you what's your thoughts on what Rashida Tlaib said in response to the Palestinian flag kerfuffle?
Whatever your thoughts are. Let me know in the comments below. You guys know where I'm at
The solution to the flag thing. Let's have no other nation's flags be flown
On a hill aside from US flags simple. That's a solution right there
So nobody can try to get around it and no no, no one nation one nation
America first
period and it's not racist or
anti-semitic or anything like that to criticize
Policy of a nation's government. It doesn't matter if it's Israel if it's Palestine if it's China Russia
Ukraine the USA it doesn't matter you could criticize a nation's government and their tactics without
hating the people of that particular nation
Simple, but whatever your thoughts are
Please let me know in the comments below and that's all I gotta say for this video
