Good morning, everyone. Hello. Welcome. Sorry about the delay and the
Problems had gremlins this morning
It's my own fault. I tried to do something different and it didn't work. So there we go. Hello Laurie
I saw you waiting on the other stream on YouTube. How are you? Thank you for being patient everybody only six minutes late
hello, Therese and Kobe and
Debbie and Claire. Hope you're all well. Thank you for hanging around and joining me. Let's just pop over to Facebook
Good morning, Lisa. Hope you're well. Hi Sam and Maria and Shelly. Hope you're all doing. Okay. How's your week been?
It's been good and Elaine. How are you?
So today we're going to be doing something a little bit
a little bit of an experiment
It's something that I found a bit by accident. Hello, Julie and Caroline and Alison as well on on Facebook
And so this was an accident that I discovered
And it's probably been done a hundred times before but I just thought it was really cool
And I thought I could probably extend it by doing it in different ways as well
So we're gonna have a play if it works, then I'll get a YouTube
Technique video out so that you can come back and see the actual
Tutorial over and over again without all the talk in the chat. So you're kind of my guinea pigs today really you're watching me
Do a bit of testing. Hello to Jenny from Australia. Hope you're well
Vicki no, it's not your end. I hope you are my love. No, it's my end
I I was trying to get you guys the best possible quality video
With the least possible effect on the
Like the buffering and everything and I tweaked some
Oh, I hope you're not still having problems. I tweaked some
Settings and it didn't like it
So as I went to go live and it started and then within a few seconds
It's went. Nope, and that just means I have to set up the events on both Facebook and YouTube again and everything. So
Doing your nails instead lovely nice. I just had mine done on Monday night going for autumnal
There's a reason for that. I'll tell you in a little while Jackie Taylor. Good morning. Hope you're well
Shelley
Pants, oh no, what's wrong? You only sold two cards your snowflake die ones at the craft fair. Then I caught Covid. Oh, no
That wasn't the best craft fair in the world. I assume you caught Covid from the fair probably it's going around again, isn't it?
But fingers crossed is mild for you. I hope you feel much better soon. Hello to Heather. Hope you're well
A few more hellos and then we'll get on with this
Beth good morning first time watching you live. Yay. I love having you here. Thank you so much
Inga hello to you and to everyone else find the quality good at your end every week trees
Fantastic. I'm glad Julian Godfrey morning. Okay, so what I've been doing is
I actually, you know, I do a lot of my smooching with my watercolors and everything
I'm really loving distress spray stains at the moment
And I've only got a few colors on my other colors were in the other studio
So blues and greens is but that's you know, it's fine with me
They're my favorite colors
but what I did the other day was I did a background and I set it aside to dry and a
little bit of kitchen towel was just kind of somehow it's sort of laid over it like this, right and
When I went to clear up later, I realized and it actually lifted the color
It looked really cool. And I thought do you know what what if we could actually sort of shape kitchen towel into
cool shapes and then
Use them as like lift not resists because you're putting the color down first, but to lift the color
So that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna we're gonna actually die cut some
Shapes and I thought okay
so I did try it with circles, but I can't show you because I use the background on a
Card that's actually got some new products on and I can't show you those until next week
But I will probably give you if you stay tuned to the end. I'll probably give you a sneak peek of those anyway
So, let's start
Let's do
Do do do do do hang on. I'm just thinking what's best to start with. I've got watercolor paper or cardstock here craft
There's a creative craft products one. That's really good
Let's go full-on. I'm gonna go delve into this now a lot of stamps nowadays come with
coordinating dyes
So I thought I love love love
In Tony Derrick's paper craft Society box, I think these are sold out if not, they're very close to I love this
Stamp here the lily sort of like the crest crest
Crescent shape. That's what I'm looking for and it's got a coordinating die
So I thought if we could lift the color with this shape and then stamp back into it. That might be really cool
Again I'm experimenting with all of you here watching me watching me make mistakes. You don't mind seeing the trees
I'm sure you don't
So basically, I've got a new color. Sorry about the rustling. I'll put it down under the table
I've got a new collection textures collection launching next weirdly next Thursday
So there will be if you're a craft VIP member like hang on
I'm gonna quickly make some noise
There we go, that was easier
If you're cross-section VIP member, you will get access to view the collection and purchase it from the Wednesday evening next week
and then the rest of the collection is available to everybody else from
Thursday morning next week on craft stash. So really excited about this one
It's definitely perfect for this time of year. And that's why my nails are this color
I just want I really I really want to show you but let's get on with this technique and we'll talk about that
Towards the end more and I like I say I will show you a few as well
Let's just check make sure I haven't got any questions or anything. Tell us more Monica. I know I will okay Monica
I will get yours in the post to you
Today, I will do it today
Good morning, Leslie. How are you? I hope you're well
Christine Howard. Hello
Simone good morning and Donna from South Carolina. I hope you it's just started raining here
So it's rubbish here Deborah. Good morning and jelly bail jelly. I just called you jelly
Jenny Bayless, I apologize
Heather Pearson have I said hello to you. I think I may have said hello to you
Is that everyone and Morris Alexandra? Hello
And
Karen Sinfield good morning. I'm Maria husk. Good job. You're a VIP. I can look Wednesday. So Wednesday evening
I believe it goes out to
Send that's next week. Not this week Wednesday evening. It'll go out to VIPs. You'll get a notification
Right, I mean my die-cutting machine. This is gonna make the focus all go right what we're doing
So Karen we are I was just explaining I found a technique I think and I'm going to expand on it today
I'm going to experiment with it. You're all gonna watch me experiment if it works and it looks really cool
I'll do a proper YouTube video with it. But this is what I tend to do if I find something
No pressure Monica. I know I'm sorry. I've been saying for weeks. I'll send it to you. I've got it here now at least
so
With any technique that I put out on on
YouTube the videos
It's usually when I discover something or I think I really like to do that
So I'll expand on it and then I'll test it and I'll test it and test it and make sure that I know exactly
How to do it, so I'm not just saying oh, well, I think this will work. Here you go
And this is basically me testing it and trying it out seeing how much I can get out of this technique
So it's using kitchen towel. I think you could probably do it with toilet tissue as well if you've got toilet roll at home
Instead I find kitchen towel works really well
So I've layered up so this is four layers of kitchen towel because it's two sheets and I folded them in half
Okay, I mean the fear is that I'm gonna run out of kitchen towel
I have got more but this is like one that's not got too much pattern in it
I don't think the pattern matters too much, but you notice when I die cut it it squishes the edges together
Can you see that so there it's a bit more stable as such
I'm actually going to keep one plate out
So let's just pop that aside
And I will do some more die cut die die die cutting in a minute
So this is the outline for this gorgeous stamp
here like so
We'll go over there. This might be this outline might be a bit too close for what we want
See, let's see if this will
Yeah, that's not a bad size. Is it just for an experiment?
So I need to put a mat down to protect my surface now
I did this using spray stains. Hello Gemma. You're back now. It's working. Yes. Sorry. Try again later
Oh Jackie, what's wrong? You're gonna try you'll try again later
Was it not working?
Let me see. I might have missed a comment there
Gianna good morning. Hope you're well
Sala hello, how are you Nova? Hello. Hope you're well
Oh
No, are you not? Well, hang on this is a relief for me somehow managed to get covered another one two of you with Kovac
I hope you're all feeling much much better
I think if you've never caught it before it hits you hard doesn't it?
But if you've had it before then hopefully consecutive times are easier
Jeanette Morrison. Good morning. I
Think that's everybody if I've missed anybody give me lots of capitals and shout at me and say hello
Okay, so what we're gonna do is wet this is I'm just gonna make sure this is watercolor cardstock, I think it is
and I'm going to I
Think you definitely want watercolor cardstock doesn't have to be the best quality watercolor cardstock
But I think you definitely do want it
so I'm just going to dampen the surface first of all and make sure that all soaks in because
It smells lovely this water. It was an old it was an old fabric freshener bottle. I've rinsed it out
I washed it out loads of times and it's still the water still smells nice, right?
So just so saturated my paper there
with water and I'm just going to go in with my
These are spray stains distress spray stains. So there's oxides and there's the
Pigments that's a bit dark. I'm going to do a few of these
There we go, there's a lot of ink probably don't need that much ink
Okay, and then I'm going to let me just think about this because the stamp will go on
That way so I want to make sure that I get the shape of this on
Correctly, and I'm going to put my paper towel on
there like so
Being really careful to just press down the edges. Don't want to get my fingers too messy
Okay, pop it down you can see it really soaking up some of the darker colors can't you so like I say
there's four layers here of
ink
distress spray stain
Now what I'm also going to do
is
Do this so I can really press it down and that's going to make some really cool patterns on here
Now, I think you could probably leave it to kind of air dry if you wanted
But I did this what I did is I actually put a die cutting plate on top
And left it and I left it for a couple of hours the one that I tried
Make sure that I don't lift up too much ink
So we're getting proper messy today
Who likes getting messy?
I do
right
So leaving that for a second
While I wipe this up. I
Know I could I could use that for something else
But I'm gonna make a lot of mess today and I can't save every bit of waste
Right, so then it's so keen I am going to dry in a moment
That's really soaking up everything from there. It's already dry and can see I've just got a few wet patches
So I'm going to put my tool on it. Don't waste things up. See Jackie is exactly what I was just saying
I know I know it's a waste
but I
Can't save everything. Otherwise, you just watch me
Lifting up ink all the time
I
Have been known to go through my bin and get kitchen towel out once it's dry spread it out because look you've got pretty patterns
Colors on them when they're fully saturated
Okay now, so I've also got watercolor inks and water. These are some shimmery
Watercolor like metallic paints watercolor paints. I'm gonna test them out as well and see how they work. Hi, Lynn Harrison
Hope you're well. Oh, yeah, you're back from your job interview. That didn't take long. Did it?
I'm sure from what you said, I'm sure you've got the job
I'm really hoping this works this time because last time I did just leave it to air dry and it worked brilliantly
It's now starting to look the edges
Okay, once I can lift it up and the air can kind of pass through it much better
You're back now it's working Simone
Oh, yeah, I had a few seconds at the beginning where I had to switch come off and go back on again
Right at the very beginning
That's what you're doing drying the wipes and kitchen towel
Kitchen roll for an idea. Yeah
So did you hear at Lynn? Did you get the job? I know you said it was a friend and such but they actually tell you
Right. Okay, so so I'm not I suppose I'm not wasting as such if I'm gonna use this bit of kitchen towel another time
So let's lift this up and see
Can you see that's?
It's absorbed all that. That's actually really cool. I think I would stamp on that as well mind you that would be opposite
Wouldn't it be the wrong way around so you can stamp on that so you see you've got the lighter area now when I did
it before it
Probably actually I'd imagine it's because I let it air dry lift up lift it up a lot more color, but never mind we will
We are experimenting
We'll just color combo. Yeah, they're nice aren't they so if you were to do really dark colors
Obviously you can't then stamp over the top have I not used this stamp before
Feels brand-new peeling it off there. You know any first peel something off the back of the backing and it's like
Really hard to get off for the first time
I thought I'd use this one before
more than once
I love my my stamping platforms elsewhere, so I have to use this
There's a black thing so if you had to stamp onto black or sorry dark inks
It just won't show up so this way you can lift up the ink in the area that you're going to want to stamp
So your design shows up easier does that make sense?
So it's a little bit like it's a little bit like the technique where I've stamped and
Then oh, this is a new stamp because that's pooling should have treated that first never mind
Just lining everything up before I press down
There we go. It's a bit like where you stamp or you emboss and then you use water to lift up the ink afterwards
But instead you're lifting up the ink first by using the shape
I'm gonna pop over to YouTube in a moment. Let's just
Because I'm not using a reposition would like a stamp platform. I really hope this one stamps, okay
I'm also stamping onto watercolor cardstock. I've got to remember so it's not necessarily going to be the best image
There we go that is paler and is pale around can you see the outline?
So yeah, so that has worked
To a point it's not as bold as I want is gorgeous isn't in that stamp it is gorgeous
Let's have a look now. I've got a mouse that only wants to work if it's on a bit of paper
So let's have a look Jeanette Morrison. What stamp set is it now? This stamp is from the
Paper Craft Society box. Let me just have a look and I will see
doubt it's
Still excuse me. I'm just typing
Paper Craft Society, I don't think this is available anymore. I think this one's sold out. Oh
Oh
It's still available. Yay
So if you use if you like this one, it's within the Tony Darroch stamps by me paper craft Society box the June box
2799 you get all sorts in there
But yeah, and if you want to have a look at that if you can use the I haven't got the link bear with me
Bear with me. I'm gonna pop a link in
Copy link. I'm just gonna put in the chat on YouTube. It's on Facebook
Shop here
this is my affiliate link that I'm now posting and I will pin this comment to
There we go. And if anyone fancies shopping on craft stash today, if you don't mind popping through that link first
That's going to just take you to craft stash and then you can search for your items
And then yeah, and then I would get a little bit of affiliate for that
So if you purchase anything and it wasn't won't cost you anymore. So this is
Stamp say yeah, I like that. So I think I think we can expand on that and try out a little bit more
So let's do let's put that to the side. That's really cool, but I can't stamp on that
I'd have to do the kiss stamping technique wouldn't I to get the reverse image?
We'll keep that aside anyway, because it's pretty I'm a hoarder. I'm a craft hoarder when it comes to things like this
So let's stand that up there
Let's now go with something a bit bolder
I'm thinking a heart a big heart
I've got other ideas with this technique as well. I'm going to try out
Yeah, let's go with that
I do harm a lot. Just try and find the best way to get
Yeah, there we go. So again, I've got four sheets of kitchen towel just because I know four sheets work
I'm gonna do something slightly different with this one as well
or again, so
This time where's my plate?
Going to die cut this. This is a really cool heart. This is from the creative craft products range of nesting dies
It's like an elongated heart and I just think it's really funky
So die cutting the kitchen towel, no shame in being a craft hoarder. Good morning Carla. How are you?
Yana how are you? Oh, wow. Haven't spoken to you in ages. Are you? Well, I hope you are
Still remember working with you at those except we didn't really work though. Did we young we kind of
We went on the London I not London. I what was the other one the the Emirates sky
Lift thing is that's still there, isn't it? We went on that we went over to that little bar on the boat
We worked really hard
Actually that came up in my memories
It was earlier this year. I think I had to I had to leave that early. Didn't I leave?
No, that was London. It was Glasgow. I had to leave early. Sorry getting my my craft shows mixed up
But I hope you're well anyway. Hello Rachel. How are you? Thank you for joining me
Let me just pop over to YouTube. So I'm going to do the heart if anyone who is just joining
I'm doing a technique where I'm lifting color before
While it's drying and then if you want to stamp on to your inked background
You've got a lighter area to kind of stamp on it. Hi Lou
Oh, I've got Lou on a coffee snuggled under covers and my cat has come to cuddle perfect at the start of the day
Oh, that's lovely. So do I had a perfect start to my day?
I haven't even told everybody not that many people are worried Jeanette Morrison. You have that one Paulette. Hello first time
Hello. Thank you for it for joining us from Florida
Lovely to have you here
So I went out this morning and I went and I did my run like I often do and I got my 5k personal best
Which yeah, so I'm now under 26 minutes. It's 25 minutes 45 seconds my 5k
So I was really happy with that and I also picked up these really cool
Three letters big wooden letters with metal outlines that my old next-door neighbor was giving away
For free they're brand new. They're about this big
It's X Y & Z and they're gonna go on my new craft room wall because they're just so cool
They're so so I mean, I can't believe she was giving away for free
She didn't even hang them on a wall. They're still boxed up
So yeah, I had a brilliant start to my day and then this didn't quite go right when we first started. So
Right, but never mind
Shall we try this? Shall we try this with inks inside?
Yeah, shall we try this with ink instead of
the sprays
There's a bit of water on there and let that be soaking in. Let's mix up some inks
So I've got these are the creative craft products inks, but they used to be the textures inks
Okay, don't we change names of things. They're the same ones as the textures ones. So if you bought these
This is basically what they are
Now these don't look pink and blue but they are so saturated
This one's that's a blue as well
Do I want a yellow? No, I think I just want pink and blue and add some water some my lovely smelly water
But you can see now how pink and blue they are. I'm not sure how well this is going to work
But I think it's going to work
I'm going to use a big mop brush which already seems to have hang on. That's the trouble, isn't it?
There's a spray bottle. It needs to be upright
I'm, not sure how well this is going to work
with these but
We shall see this is bright. This is really bright
Wow, okay
so spritz of water
And then before it soaks into the ink
And then before it soaks in too much i'm going to put that on there
Okay, let's see what happens
So I almost want to put these aside
You can see that soaking up
So again
I'm just going to use that that's really soaked up
Can you see that coming through them? I'm going to get really mucky fingers who sent me
A
June
Was it june sent me a link to something for cleaning fingers
I think I need to check that out
Right. Let's take the excess. So again, i'm using watercolor paper
Because with watercolor paper you just get that longer for the um watercolor ink and paint to work to soak in
So you get more time to play with it move it around
You can also blend really nicely if you like your blending inks you can blend really nicely on watercolor cardstock
It is textured. So you do get a slightly different look to smooth cardstock
Really hoping this is going to work
with this shape
Also going to do something else on this in a moment. Right. Let's just set that aside. Oh, my fingers are getting messy
Simone I saw five magpies in my garden this morning. Good start to the day
We have loads of magpies around here. Now. What does five mean because it's
One is bad luck or um
One for sorrow two for joy
Three for a girl four for a boy. So what's five five for silver and the rainbow pot of gold. Is that right?
I didn't know that we have them everywhere. We've actually got a bakery down near me
um, we've actually got a big wall mural now lots of you know that um,
I live in the town where ed sheeran lives
Um, well he lives in the village just outside
Um, so it's a big mural with him on it
and it's got all these other things that the town is famous for and it's actually got loads of magpies on it because
We're pretty much we just have magpies everywhere
Speaking of which ed sheeran went to my son's school the other day
If anyone follows him on social media and saw that he went to his old school
That was my son's and the football match at the end
Was the football match that my son was playing
That he was watching
So that's yeah, it's really cool. It's really
really
Really fun right now. What am I looking for? I want a big textured stamp and then see i've got the perfect stamp
But it's not out until next year
This one would work look so this is from my reflections range. I couldn't tell you now
I have to check whether this is still in stock this heart
Has all these letters on it
Five for a secret never to be told. Uh carla says silver
Isn't it funny how we all have these different?
um theories on what everything means
Yeah, okay, so I think this is
I think that's soaked up enough now
For me to dry the rest off
But it's these are really bright. Remember I said these are really saturated inks really bright inks. Can you hear me? Okay? Well the um,
Well, the heat gun is on I hope you can
Trying to tidy up keep organized
While i'm working eight for a wish nine for a kiss seven. Oh seven for a secret never to be told. Okay
Wow
Let's see
Kelly first time on youtube. Hello. Kelly. How are you?
I hope you're well youtube's brilliant. Is this the first time watching live on youtube or first time on youtube ever?
It's amazing. Honestly, you will get lost down a rabbit hole if you start browsing through videos
Uh, good morning. Elaine. Hope you're well crafty dawn. Hello. Looks great. Love to all. Thank you
Just trying out techniques with kitchen towel
lifting up color
and then
Stamping them
We'll use some stencils in a minute as well
What a great start lucky find I have a lovely neighbors. I'm very grateful. Yeah, these are my old my old
Neighbors where I used to live before we moved here. They were my next door neighbors
I couldn't believe it. She put it so a lot of villages and towns have their like what they call free cycle
type
Facebook pages don't they and she posted in that and I was like really these are free
I might even grab one and show you in a minute
But they're going to look so awesome on my wall because lots of you know
My craft room is in the making people are asking when's it ready? We had to build it
We've literally had to we build the walls
Um, so it's not a quick lick of paint
Okay, I think i'm nearly done with this
I think that'll be enough. So it is slow. We're just putting plasterboard up at the moment. Um,
Uh plaster is booked for the
Second third friday the third of november
Okay. Um
So they're gonna go it's gonna and my craft room is gonna be half
grungy, um vintage very if you've ever seen tim hulks his craft room tour
I want the first half when you walk in to be like that the second half the other end is going to be white
Some rainbow colors splashed about really clean and bright
So i'll film my videos in there and then i'll do all my editing my emails and everything in my vintagey grungy bit
So and I can film in both really but you know, it it keeps two separate parts because I can't decide which I want
So yeah, i'm gonna do two separate. Let's stamp this
so i'm going to
Oh first time watching me here usually on facebook, oh that makes sense
I thought it was straight. Not many people are not have not been on youtube before
I don't want to move that just yet
Right, so just stamping this randomly around going over that kitchen towel
Now i'm not sure I know that these inks are also water reactive
Okay
so
I could splash them with water, but I can't remember now i've mixed them with water
Oh, see that one didn't work quite as well
That looks really cool though. I would definitely use that that one's not as uh, maybe it's because it's the watercolor inks
Quite enjoying playing with this though and experimenting. So let's get a black pen
Which one is this? No, that's too big
I want this one
There we go
Let's just
Draw the heart so you can see it
Let's do another one
There we go, and i'll put a little
Sentiment there or something for an art journal. This is what okay. So people ask me often. What is an art journal page?
Why do you art journal? What's the point?
Literally like that. What's the point?
And this is exactly it. It's experimenting with things
Um in an art journal book that no one else ever has to see. I mean i'm just doing it in front of you all
Good morning, Sharon Stanley
Loving these methods. Thank you. I'm just having a play like I say experimenting
And this is exactly oh, no, that's stained. So I have to get my bleach out
um
This is a good point. Actually, that was a really really strong color
the pink in particular is very strong, so
That probably as soon as it touched the paper
Would have stained it anyway
That's worth knowing
Okay that I mean this is
Awesome, though. That is definitely i'm gonna dry that
And then use that you'll see that come up on a card. So put that to the side
I have to get my bleach out. I do bleach my hands. I'm, sorry. I know people send me
Um links to things to clean my hands with but i'll bleach them
Can't help it, right
let's
go
watercolor paper
Let's do this. Oh, should we do the stencil?
So
I think so
Nice and easy this one no cutting involved die cutting involved. Sorry
We can just trim this though
Let's trim this down a little bit still need to find my blade
this
And then i'm going to use a stencil this time
And see if we can soak up the liquid with the stencil
quicker
So there's my water
a couple of sheets of
That now this is quite a technique that i've seen done before. So rather than die cutting
Watering I wonder if maybe not so much water with the first would be
different right
Let's just do a bit of green
I'm going to put this so with the stencil on
There that will definitely soak into
paper
I'm gonna get really messy fingers
Let's use this white
And really i'm going to press down into
all of those
little bits in the stencil
You can actually see the stencil through
I think this might make oh, it might make a really cool pattern on the other side or it might not because
It might just be spreading through the kitchen towel. Actually
I can see the you can see the pattern coming through can't you?
I'm, just pressing down making sure that's all
There like so
Do we reckon there's gonna be a color underneath that now before
I
Lift that up. I'm gonna do some more stamping
My fav probably my favorite stamp ever
This is from my wildflowers collection. By the way, there's been some textures restocks
Let me just check something because I know a lot of you ask me about it quite a lot
There was a stamp. So sorry magnolia
drive the
Stamp and die set did sell out
Yes, so the
textures wildflower stamps the four
Silhouettes they are back in stock. If anyone wanted those and didn't
Didn't get them they're back in stock now
If you want to take a look at them again, if you don't mind, I know I keep asking you because not everybody realizes
But yeah, if you can go through my link
that's
pinned on both
Facebook and youtube
That just helps me out a little bit with aphelion. That's all
I keep talking about it, but that's basically how I buy my craft supplies
So I'm just going to do a little bit of that
Keep talking about it, but that's basically how I buy my craft supplies
So i'm going to while that's in place. I do you know I might have to not use
The block and just use my fingers for this
Because you need to squish into the detail
I've no idea what this is going to look like underneath
I think this is going to be cool
It's going to take me a little while
Da da da da da
Tell you what i'll do i'll just do this technique
Hopefully you've got some ideas to try out and then I will show you the one that I did
Uh on a card so I can give you a sneak peek of
new collection
next week
It's a bit naughty, but you can't buy it yet. So I guess
I guess what's the harm?
Right. Are we ready?
I don't want to hang on
I need to see what you can see at the minute i'm on your all of your comments
Uh, just check the comments few you bought the magnolia yet
I'd imagine it'll probably get restocked again, but it does take a few months in between
Just told my joiner to go ahead with the units for my craft room. Yay
Uh, good morning, granny. Annie. Hope you're well. Good morning from texas. It's 4 30 a.m. Wow
Go back to bed. You can always watch this later
Crafty dawn. Thank you so much
Um, let's just check on facebook
Let me see. Yay. Simone got it and you've used your link. Thank you so much
Angela kingston. Hello. Hope you're well be brave. I'll do it in just a second. I'm giving it a minute more
Uh lynn, uh, good evening from tasmania 23 degrees today and lovely
Oh, no, we've actually had some beautiful weather here the last few weeks for october. It's been really unusual
Looks like sam colors sam's colors are in this gorgeous color scheme
Um, yeah
i've been using the jagged edges on the watercolor paper colored differently for journals
And with your book collection lovely. Yeah, i really love my book collection. What is the best color?
Sorry best watercolor paper to use lou. Um, so creative craft products do a fantastic one and it's actually smooth
um, and that is
Uh on craft stash. So if you go just type in watercolor cardstock
Um, I think it's I want to say it's about 230 gsm weight I could be wrong
But it's a really good cardstock because it's smooth you haven't got to worry about the texture
Sharon stanley. Good morning. I think I might have said good morning to you already, but if not, hello again
Okay, carmen
Hello, hope you're well
Hello lou and everybody a bit late
Don't worry. Do not worry. I'll forgive you
Um, I hope you're okay though
Okay, so let's see if this pattern is showing it is it does show it's not really bright but it does show
That's quite cool. Let me just wipe around the edges
So when I lift that up
I wonder if you could you could probably experiment with the amount of time between putting the stencil down and lifting up
I think with some distress products you can actually even let them dry
before
You lift up the ink like if you just add water you can
Reactivate them and then lift them up
So you probably get a stronger result. That's quite cool, isn't it?
Yeah, quite happy with that as a background. I think that's really cool. And of course you could also put this back down
And you could if you've got patience get a pen and draw around it
but
Yeah, that's quite cool. That's cool. Okay, so
You kind of got the idea I think that one definitely worked the best didn't it so use the
Where's my die cut? It's just falling down here. So for those who missed this one at the beginning
So basically i've been using water using kitchen towel to soak up
And I die cut the use the stamp outline now. There's loads of different stamps with die outlines
Marie, um, you're also from tasmania, too
Hello, hope you're well, um
So I use the outline die to cut through four layers of kitchen towel and it kind of compresses them together anyway
Put some distress spray stain on some watercolor paper lay the kitchen towel on while it's wet
Let it dry. I did actually dry that off and then stamped into the design. I think that's my favorite one
This one was just a heart
Of kitchen towel again die cut four layers it's falling apart a bit now
Um, but yeah just laid that on that was with watercolor inks, but they're so strong
I think the color kind of saturated into the cardstock first
You can still see it and i've definitely used this again. And then this one was spritzing with the stains
I never used the metallic did I but spritzing with the stains and then putting a stencil directly over the top and lifting off with
Kitchen towel and then stamping through just because so there's some different techniques for you. Let me just
grab
um what I wanted to show you so
Let's show you this one. Hang on. I'm still here
I'm going to show you a couple
that one
oh
yeah, and
This one. Okay, so i'm going to show you three cards and you mustn't tell anyone i've shown you
Okay
I'll be in trouble. Oh, i've got a big cleanup before I can actually do any work today
And stains right so this
Is the one
Where I use die cut circles on the background and you can see how strongly that lifted up that was using
These two colors I think spray stains
So that was just die cut circles
Uh, so you can see we've got toadstools
We might have a little hedgehog
And we might have a little squirrel coming very soon. Okay, that's enough
I will get in trouble
um, but there we go, so hopefully you
Learned something sneak peeks very very quick sneak peeks. That's all I could give you
Uh, that is next thursday. So stay tuned. I'll probably give you more on wednesday next week
um, but yeah new textures collection
um
Can't wait for that
Thank you everybody for joining me
Um, i'm gonna shoot off now because i've got lots of work to do and my daughter really wants her desk
Look, this looks really cool. Just look in the corner. That looks awesome. I like that color
Um, my desk wants my desk. My daughter wants her desk putting together at lunchtime today
I need to go see my dad as well. So it's going to be a busy busy day squeezing everything and
I love the squirrels in high park. Yeah, they are really really cute
So save some pennies for next thursday when that launches or wednesday if you're a vip in the evening
But i'll do lots of shouting about it lots more peeks coming up on my social media if you're watching on youtube
love it if you could um subscribe if you haven't already chances are if
You're seeing me now and you're a subscriber, but if you're not, uh, I do post videos every week lots of videos
Um next thing coming up. So tonight there should be a color another distressing color combination video coming up distress oxide
sorry, and then on

I'll have a technique for you. So lots and lots more to catch up on
um
Thank you for all your lovely comments about my squirrel. Well, by the way, the squirrel and the hedgehog will need names
So get thinking everybody. Um, because i'll need I will need to name them
So thank you all take care and i'll see you all
