Nhìn bên ngoài, mochi Đài Loan cũng có nhiều nét tương đồng với mochi của Nhật Bản, nhưng thay vì dùng bột đậu nành hay bột gạo thì người Đài Loan lăn bánh mochi qua đậu phộng cà nhuyễn, đậu phộng béo béo thơm thơm rất hợp với khẩu vị người Việt Nam mình ►Chợ hải sản Taipei Fish Market nằm ở địa chỉ No. 20號, Alley 2, Lane 410, Minzu East Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan.
Hi. Good morning, everyone. I'm Khoai. Welcome to Khoai Lang Thang channel.
Today is a very rainy day in Taiwan. I don't know why when I come here
Before, the weather was very sunny and beautiful, but now it's raining.
But when I come here, it's all rain.
So I was planning to go to Hap Phan and Phu Phan villages today.
But because it was raining, I changed my plan. I will go to eat seafood.
And the Hap Phan, Phu Phan or Nguyen O villages, I will save for tomorrow, when the weather is drier, I will go.
As you can see, the street is full of people.
Mochi.
There is a Mochi shop here.
I will buy a small box.
It smells so good.
Taiwanese Mochi box.
You can see that in Taiwan, there are a lot of Japanese food shops.
And there are a lot of Japanese-inspired dishes.
Because in the past, about 100 years ago, the Japanese came here to conquer Taiwan.
Until 50 years ago.
Therefore, the Taiwanese culture was greatly influenced by the Japanese.
And the Mochi is the same.
But there is one thing that Taiwanese Mochi has a lot of differences from Japanese Mochi.
In Japan, you can roll it with soybean flour or rice flour, right?
And Taiwanese Mochi, they will use this stick to roll it with peanut flour.
So the smell of peanuts is very fragrant and characteristic.
And it is very familiar to Vietnamese people.
I bought a box including a green bean filling and a black sesame filling.
The sticky rice is very sticky.
But it is not sweet.
Very sticky.
And the peanut flour is kind of greasy.
It is quite delicious.
There is also a peanut filling inside.
There are many kinds of fillings.
The box I bought earlier has a green bean filling, a peanut filling, a black sesame filling, and a taro filling.
Let's go to the seafood restaurant.
I will buy a lot of seafood first.
If I eat too much seafood, I will have a cold stomach.
My teeth are stuck.
Now I will go to the seafood restaurant.
Wait a minute.
I only posted 2 videos about seafood in Phu Yen.
Where is Phu Yen?
It's been a long time, I don't remember.
Ah, 2 videos in Phu Yen.
Phu Yen is the capital of Taiwan.
I don't remember.
Ah, 2 videos in Phu Yen.
But everyone called me seafood potato.
I hope that today I will go to the seafood restaurant here so that no one will call me that anymore.
Here is like a fish market, a seafood market.
There are many locals and many tourists come here to eat.
And the price is quite expensive.
Because there are a lot of seafood imported from abroad.
Not just the seafood in Taiwan.
I hope that I will find fresh seafood and the price is worth it.
I have arrived.
Now I will go inside to visit.
And I will go to find seafood to eat.
You should go here in the morning, not in the evening.
Because the seafood will not be fresh and delicious in the evening.
They have a price list up there.
59 TWD
173 TWD
100g
It's 1,700 TWD per kg.
It's expensive.
1,700 TWD per kg is about 1 million more than Vietnamese money.
1 kg
The crab is also quite big.
King crab.
Wow.
It's big.
5-6 times the size of my hand.
1 kg
2,550 TWD per kg is about
2 million TWD per kg.
2 million TWD per kg compared to such a big crab.
And it's still fresh.
The price is quite cheap.
But in Vietnam, they only import small crabs.
There are no such big crabs.
Now I will go to the inside
of this seafood market.
Inside,
there is a guide board here.
I can see that there are
sashimi, sushi,
seafood,
steamed food, hot pot,
and all kinds of drinks.
It looks like a seafood market
specialized in selling seafood.
It's still a king crab.
There are many kinds of seafood.
It's still a king crab.
This crab is climbing up
the wall.
1,675 TWD per kg.
1,675 TWD per kg is about
5-7 million TWD.
5-7 million TWD is about
5-7 million TWD.
There is a young man sitting
under the waterfall.
There is a place
for shrimps.
The price of seafood here is
about 1-2 million TWD per kg.
It's not too expensive
in Taiwan.
In Saigon, it's about
700-800 TWD per kg.
I can see clams here.
Clams are the cheapest.
It's only 21 TWD per kg.
It's the cheapest so far.
He is picking shrimps
to put in the basket.
These shrimps are very fresh.
They are sea shrimps.
This area is full of king crabs.
King crabs.
I can see crabs,
abalones and shrimps here.
Crabs are 680 TWD per kg.
Abalones are 309 TWD per kg.
Shrimps are 259 TWD per kg.
There are also snails here.
It's a kind of rock snail.
It's like the moon snail.
It's 108 TWD per kg.
Seafoods here are big.
They have to be of the right size
to be harvested.
It's not like in Vietnam.
I'm in a restaurant
outside the city.
There is a fresh seafood restaurant.
I'll go there
to pick seafood
and they will cook it.
They just soak it in salt
and grill it.
They eat it fresh
and squeeze lemon juice
The price is a bit higher than in the market.
There is a market
to buy and bring home.
The price is cheaper but they don't cook it.
In the supermarket,
there is a grill
but they cook it
and leave it for a while.
So I'll come here
to eat the king crab legs first.
I ordered 2 parts of grilled king crab legs
and the chef is grilling
the king crab legs.
There are also 2 mini shrimps
They are called Taiwanese shrimps.
He sprinkled a bit of salt
and grilled it.
This is a restaurant specializing in grilling.
I'll eat sashimi later.
I'll go inside the market to eat.
It smells so good.
Now, my 2 king crab legs
and 2 shrimps
with a grilled mushroom skewer are here.
You can see
2 king crab legs
It's so big.
Actually, I really want to eat
a big king crab.
It'll be better if it's still alive.
But a king crab like this weighs 4-5 kg
and 4-5 people can eat it.
So it's a waste to eat it like this.
So I only ordered 2 king crab legs
and 2 mini shrimps.
Now, I'll eat the shrimp first
and then the king crab.
Because the shrimp
is worse than the crab.
So I'll eat the shrimp first
If I eat the king crab first
and then the shrimp, I won't feel anything.
So
I'll eat this beautiful shrimp first.
This is Taiwan's
lobster.
They just sprinkled a bit of salt
and grilled it.
There's a layer of salt outside.
Here,
they grill it
and put it on the fire
to make it hot.
So they grill the seafood and take it out.
It's not cold yet
because it's grilled shrimp
so it's a bit dry.
I usually prefer steamed shrimp
but this restaurant specializes in grilling.
So they only have grilled seafood.
Later, I'll eat sashimi
and raw shrimp
and some sashimi
later.
Now, I'll eat grilled seafood first.
I'll save
some legs.
The shell of the shrimp is hard to digest
but the legs have a lot of calcium.
They don't dip it in any sauce.
They just put a bit of lime
on top.
The smell of grilled seafood
is always charming.
The shell of the shrimp is very crunchy.
The legs are very crunchy.
The meat is still firm
and the salt outside
is a bit salty
even though I removed the shell.
But the legs are still salty.
So I only need a bit of lime
to eat it.
This shrimp is just a shell.
My main character is this crab.
Now, I'll
focus on eating this crab.
The main character
has appeared today.
2 big king crabs.
I'll eat
this crab first.
There's a head of the crab.
They've already cut the meat for me.
I'll put a bit of lime
and take the meat out first.
The meat is very firm
and sweet.
The meat
already has a salty taste
so I only need a bit of lime
to eat it.
I don't need to dip it in any sauce.
I'll put a bit of lime
and take this part out.
This is the meat of the head
of the king crab.
It's firm and sweet
and there's a bit of meat
like crab meat.
The meat already has a salty taste
so I only need to put a bit of lime
to eat it.
They don't give me any sauce in this restaurant.
I only need
a tabasco sauce
or a bowl of
Vietnamese green chili salt.
I'll eat it with this one.
I'll cut the leg off.
This is the best part.
Because this king crab is grilled
so I can't take it out
like a normal steamed king crab.
The meat will stick to the shell
so I have to peel it off slowly like this.
It's quite laborious.
Don't stick to the shell
and ruin my king crab.
I'll put a bit of lime here.
This is the best part
of the king crab.
It's firm
and sour.
The meat already has a salty taste
when grilled like this.
It's very aromatic
and there's a lot of meat.
It's a pity
because when grilled like this
the meat is a bit drier
than usual
but it's still delicious.
It's much better than eating crab.
This is the best part
of the leg of the king crab.
Because this is grilled
so the meat of the king crab
is not as beautiful
as a normal steamed king crab.
But it still has a good smell.
This is the dining area.
On the left side
there are restaurants
and a bar
for the guests
to sit and eat.
There are rolls
and steamed lobster.
This is the sashimi counter.
There are red shrimps
which are very sweet.
There are salmon sashimi,
tuna sashimi,
scallop sashimi
and other kinds of sashimi.
There's a cart here
like a supermarket.
You can buy whatever you want.
There's a giant abalone in the middle
and sashimi.
If you like Japanese food
this is a heaven.
A box like this
costs about 200,000 vnd
which is about 150,000 vnd
depending on the dish.
For example,
a box of sashimi
is more expensive.
A box of rolled rice
is cheaper.
The oysters look so ugly.
3 oysters cost 320,000 vnd
which is about 90,000 vnd per oyster.
This is raw abalone.
They just cut it for me
and put it on a slice of lemon.
It costs 360,000 vnd per box.
2 oysters cost 180,000 vnd per oyster.
King crab costs 3,450,000 vnd per kg.
It's more expensive than
the one in the double-claw lake.
The price of king crab
is the cheapest.
The king crab
is cooked in the store
which is cheaper.
The king crab is cooked
in the restaurant
which is the most expensive.
Most of the dishes here
are sashimi.
Taiwanese people
love to eat sashimi
just like Japanese people.
I ordered
raw shrimp for sashimi.
4 shrimps.
Over there is his sashimi counter.
I'll order
salmon sashimi later.
4 shrimps cost
442,000 vnd
which is about
1,000,000 vnd in Vietnam.
The shrimps are taken out
and put in the fridge
to make the shrimps more crispy.
Everything is still fresh.
He's peeling
the skin
of the shrimp.
I can see
abalone
and oyster.
Over there,
he's peeling the tuna.
The tuna is used to make sashimi.
It's still fresh.
He's peeling the big fish.
I ordered
a live abalone
for sashimi.
It costs
820,000 vnd
which is about
500,000-600,000 vnd
in Vietnam.
This is a big abalone.
In Vietnam,
there are smaller abalones.
It's rare
to see big abalones
in seafood restaurants.
Only in high-end seafood restaurants.
Here,
they're strict
about catching seafood.
Abalones,
fish, shrimp,
or crabs
must be big enough
to make sashimi.
He's cleaning
the tuna's intestine.
He's boiling the abalone
and soaking it in ice water.
He's using a towel to clean it.
This is the intestine
of the abalone.
He's boiling it for 9 weeks.
After buying
the abalone
in the seafood restaurant,
I'll go to the cashier
and there's a table
in front of me.
There's no chair, just a table.
Usually, there are 3 areas
in this market.
The first area is the restaurant
where they display
fresh seafood.
But the price is very high
so if you have a kitchen at home,
go to the area
where they sell seafood
and bring it home to cook.
If you want to
combine both,
go to the supermarket
in front of you
and pay
and sit here
to eat,
the price will be 30% cheaper.
The price is somewhere between
the restaurant and the seafood restaurant.
I ordered a sashimi shrimp
and an abalone
sashimi.
Both of them are still alive.
The chef
will cook it
in front of me.
I'll try it.
First, I'll try the live shrimp
because the smell of the shrimp
is lighter than the abalone.
So I'll eat the least smell sashimi
to the heaviest smell sashimi.
I'll try the shrimp first.
It's already cleaned.
I'll take the head.
This shrimp is cut in half
because it's quite big.
Normally, the chef will put the whole shrimp.
I'll dip it here
with wasabi
and soy sauce.
The shrimp is very crunchy.
It has a strong smell
of wasabi.
The meat is very sweet.
The shrimp is crunchy and sweet.
It's not fishy at all.
I can see that they put
a little bit of lemon juice
so I'll put it in the shrimp.
The lemon juice
will make the shrimp more fresh.
I'll take the shell off.
Oh, it's hot.
I put a lot of wasabi in it.
But when I bite it,
the shrimp meat
has a sour taste.
It's easier to eat.
Now I'll try the abalone.
Actually, I've eaten the live shrimp
many times in Vietnam
and in Thailand.
But the abalone is the one I really care about.
Here,
a piece of abalone like this is
more than 800 TWD.
They cut it into many slices.
It's quite cheap
because
a piece of abalone like this
can be enough for 3-4 people.
I'll take the middle one.
Here.
I've eaten the live abalone
many times in Vietnam
and I usually eat abalone in Vietnam
but the size is smaller.
The meat is very crunchy
and when they cook abalone,
it doesn't smell fishy at all.
This is one of the most popular
sashimi dishes in Japan and Taiwan.
I think abalone
is the best sashimi dish.
I don't like to eat abalone
when they cook traditional dishes.
The meat is crunchy
but it's still firm.
When I bite it, I can feel the firmness.
It's very delicious.
If you come to Taiwan or Japan,
I think you should try abalone sashimi.
It's a totally different experience
from eating abalone in Vietnam.
In Vietnam,
abalone is usually very small
because fishing is out of control.
They also give you live abalone
but small abalone like this
is not as delicious
as big abalone like this.
Now I'll focus on eating sashimi
and then I'll go around
the market
to see if there's anything to buy.
If you come to Taiwan
and want to eat sashimi,
you can come here.
It's a popular tourist destination
but it's a bit expensive.
If you buy it, it won't be expensive.
There's a seafood stall
where they sell home-made sashimi.
It's only 1 in 2 in some restaurants here.
So I've finished
a very filling meal.
Now I'll go to the night market
which is very famous in Taipei.
It's called Niu Ha Night Market.
Now I'll go there to explore
and destroy the night market.
This market is only for seafood.
You can eat fresh seafood here.
If you want to eat
many different dishes
at a reasonable price,
there's only one night market.
I'll come back to the night market later
and share with you.
I'm very excited.
Every time I go to the night market,
I'm as excited as this
because there's always a lot of food.
This is the most delicious bowl in Taipei.
He's the best seller.
He's very confident.
There's a cute dog here.
Goodbye, everyone.
I'm Khoai.
