Hi guys, welcome to this new video. Today we are going to change the brakes to my Dacia Sandero, which I have already disassembled, I have already removed the wheel to start the work.
For the occasion we will use the brakes of the brand Ate, I used it in other videos, if you follow me you know it. This brand is part of the Continental group and Ate is specialized in brakes.
In the description I will leave you the website and an email to contact in case you want to buy these products. Before starting I remind you to subscribe to the channel, to leave a comment, a like and to share these videos.
Let's start immediately with the replacement of the brake pads. My car has 70,000 km, the discs are not to be replaced, but the pads have arrived.
The cutting of the motherboard gives us 60,000 km as a step to replace the brake pads. These are the codes, classic brake pads.
In addition to the pads we have a very useful tool, which in the other videos I only showed you with an inspection of the video because I didn't have it, but this time they sent it to me.
This is very cool, it is a cleaner for nuts and also for the inside of the wheels, which attaches directly to the brake caliper and with this we can do a very fast cleaning because in 10 seconds we have the nut completely shiny.
With this we finally close all the complete cutting that I did to this car. It is the cutting of the 60,000 km that included all the filters, including those of the gas phase, liquid phase of the GPL, the brakes, the candles, the oil.
So everything you need to make a really complete cutting to your car. I will make a summary video in which I will show you practically everything and everything I spent to make this type of cutting.
So I recommend you stay up to date by turning on the bell.
Let's go and replace these brakes.
When you do this type of work, put something underneath because it can get dirty because the brakes leave a lot of dirt.
First thing, let's disassemble the caliper.
You see there are two screws, one is this one above and one is this one below.
Let's unscrew them.
They are quite soft.
From here the game is quite simple because with the screwdriver, if we start moving the caliper like this, it is simply supported because it has been unscrewed.
It came out of the seat so we can remove it.
And we have removed the brake caliper.
I, for example, take a band or a cable or those elastics that are used to carry the packs.
The pack-carrying elastics with the two hooks at the ends.
It is passed inside the caliper in order to take it.
I hook it up.
For example, I hooked it up here.
The pads are practically finished.
You see that slowly with the screwdriver.
And here we are.
The old pad has these hooks.
We detach these.
This is the finished pad.
You see that when it is finished, it is practically flat.
Mine were really, really gone.
Let's also remove the other one.
Same procedure for the other, from the reverse side.
Before replacing everything, let's give a cleaning.
Brake cleaner.
The brake caliper will also be cleaned.
Let's try not to scratch with the metal brushes.
Because we could ruin the rubber parts that are there.
So be careful.
The brake cleaners are made on purpose so as not to attack the rubber parts.
Let's clean well here inside the caliper.
And we're good.
Now let's clean the disc.
I use this cleaner.
Always from the brand Ate.
Once we have cleaned everything.
And that everything is in place.
We are ready to reassemble the pads.
Here are the pads.
Let's see that they are the same as the original pads.
And they are practically identical.
In the box they also give us these new ones.
So now let's go and reassemble them on the pads.
There is also the scan that suggests the position.
Just insert it here.
And we're done.
These also have a direction.
I put these teeth towards the front.
Also because you can see.
They have an anchor point.
There is this thing in the shape of an anchor point.
And where the two teeth go in front.
So let's put this back.
We also put it on top.
These make us a patina to put the pad.
Before putting the pad we use this.
This is the plastilube.
It is used for antifreeze.
Like the old copper paste.
We put a little bit.
Where the pad will go in contact.
Where the pad will flow.
So it won't whistle.
Then we take our pad.
Be careful because they have a direction.
This is the inner.
And this is the outer.
And here is the symbol of the brake piston.
So this goes in.
And this goes out.
Once you insert it like this.
Then you push it.
And it goes in.
Let's do the same thing on the other side.
Also on the caliper.
We put the plastilube in the contact points.
So here and here.
If you can't put it elsewhere.
To put the other one.
I turned the steering wheel.
And I put all the brake on this side.
So it will be easier to mount.
Let's open the brake fluid tank.
Because we have to put the piston in.
The tank.
It says DOT 4.
I took a box.
To fit our caliper.
And now we have to push the piston in.
You can use some methods.
You can also use a parrot key.
You tighten here and this goes in.
They invented some tools.
The tool is this.
This is made to push this type of caliper.
You put a part inside.
There are many sizes.
You use this plate.
In this way.
You have to unscrew it.
We did it.
Our caliper is now ready to be mounted.
But before reassembling it.
Let's lubricate with our plastilube.
All the parts that go in contact with the pads.
Let's put our caliper.
Pay attention to the brake fluid tube.
Let's put the caliper in position.
Here there should be a bearing.
Let's put it in contact points.
Let's push this piston inside.
And the one below.
And we put it in position.
Slowly because we can't touch it.
Now let's put the screws back.
Working with the caliper turned in this way is convenient.
So when you do the replacement.
Turn the steering wheel directly.
Let's tighten.
Not too strong.
10mm wrench.
One and two.
Let's put the brake fluid tank.
Let's check the levels.
Because if the level is not right.
We have to replace the fluid.
And don't touch it.
Before reassembling the wheel.
The same reasoning as before.
Look how shiny it is.
Guys, it's a bomb.
I recommend this.
Don't let it slip away.
You don't have to use anything.
And it's all perfectly clean.
Let's reassemble the wheel and we're done.
Guys, I hope this video has been useful.
Do the same on the other side.
When you replace the pads.
Do it on one side and also on the other.
Because otherwise the braking is not homogeneous.
I remind you that in this video.
I used the spare parts of the brand Ate.
In the description you will find their website.
And also an email to write to contact them for the spare parts.
In the description you will also find all the other links.
For all the tools I used.
And for other interesting things that I often use.
Especially for this car.
So all the other spare parts of this car.
You can find them in the description.
Everything I used for the Italian.
See you next time.
Bye.
