The Golden Father.
Once upon a time, there were two sisters.
They had it good.
Although father and mother had died,
a grandfather took care of them and spoiled them.
What he could see with love in their eyes,
he did them to like.
Only he was an old man and said,
if they were always satisfied and good things,
they did not have to worry about life.
So the girls grew up.
Free and happy, like the little birds,
but not as hard-working as those.
They did not build houses,
because theirs, completely decorated with roses,
stood fixed in the village.
They did not sew either,
because grandfather bought them what they needed.
And if there were holes,
the things were given to the poor,
who understood to stitch,
among jokes and laughter.
They were beautiful, healthy creatures,
the two girls,
not vain or greedy for cleaning.
They were happy about the meadow flowers,
about the sunshine,
about the smoke bombs from grandfather's pipe.
They went arm in arm and sang and laughed,
that it was said in the village,
whoever the grain is harvested,
he only needs to go to the two boys,
to become vain and happy again.
Only the foremost shook the head maliciously
and warned Laura-Lisa,
so the two were called,
never individually,
but always in one breath,
to learn to do it and to work it.
Then Laura-Lisa made very serious faces,
cuddled with each other for a long time
and pampered grandfather
until he gave them a groschen.
With this they moved cheerfully into the village shop
and got some little thing
from which they knew that the foremost
had wished for for a long time.
This gift they limited with flowers
or in winter with red and white berries
and smuggled it to the old man's house.
To this they sang him a funny song.
Then he had to laugh and rejoice
and forgot all his words of warning.
And the girls had peace
until his next sentence.
Poor girls.
Yes, why?
Because one day grandfather died
and now they had to open their eyes.
There was nothing left.
Even the little house no longer belonged to him.
The foremost talked to the girls
and for the first time you could see
the poor two sneak in with tears in their eyes.
And all the happy songs were silenced.
It was decided that Laura-Lisa should go to the city
to do a service there.
The foremost came to him one evening
and told him that he had found work for both.
On a farm one should serve,
the other in the city.
The girls were horrified.
They had never come to the realization
that they could separate.
No, that was impossible.
They did not say a word and did not cry either.
The foremost, who had become angry enough
and who would have preferred to take the legs to himself
if he had not been a poor man,
was glad that the matter had gone so quietly
and went home in peace.
For a long time Laura-Lisa sat silent next to each other.
Then they jumped up at the same time,
fell into each other's arms and cried under tears,
No, we will not leave each other.
Nobody, nobody should separate us.
They packed their bundle,
hid the penny, which was still in the two savings boxes,
and, before dawn,
they sneaked out of the house and the village.
They left a note.
On the same it said
that they had made an early departure,
because it would have become too difficult for them to say goodbye.
They thanked everyone, especially the foremost,
very warmly and would never forget their home.
All the people in the village thought with the foreword
that Laura-Lisa had joined their new service
and, after a few days of good inquiries from the city
about where the girls had stayed,
they were already over all the mountains
and no trace of them could be found.
Laura-Lisa, however,
wandered hand in hand into the wild.
For a while they stood still,
looked at each other happily and hugged each other.
In the first days they lived off the food they had taken
and slept under a clear sky,
because they always feared
that someone from their old home
could find them
or force a stranger to return there,
so that they would be separated from each other.
They avoided the big streets
and walked through forests and valleys,
over mountains and streams.
It became more and more lonely around them.
Fewer villages,
no cities
and hardly a wanderer who met them.
That was nice for the two of them.
When the morning sun shone,
they hurried to the brook or lake
where they had slept,
whistled and cleaned themselves,
sang a beautiful song,
took a hearty bite of the old bread from home
and moved on.
And in the evening
they looked for a tree as a shelter.
They carried grass and moss
and laid a camp.
One of them crawled deep, deep into the ground
and slept soundly
while the sister awoke.
Halfway through the night
the faithful shelter-keeper woke up the sleeping one,
who awoke again
until the other had rested.
Oh, how many thoughts one could have
when the night so quietly and softly
lifted up the earth
and the stars sparkled in the sky.
For a while a nightingale sang,
or a cricket chirped,
or a lighthouse shone.
In the morning
both of them discussed their thoughts of the night
and came to the same conclusion
that they wanted to grasp some kind of way of life,
but only in solitude and together.
But no one knew
what kind of work it should be,
and they did not think about it.
Come time, come advice,
they thought.
The sky seemed to have its joy
in the wandering girls,
for it was a summer
like no one has ever remembered,
so warm and dry.
Again the night descended.
Laura and Lisa were in a forest.
At the same time
they decided to rest.
Laughing, they dragged the beautiful moss along,
for both were joking
about who should wake up first.
But Laura,
because she was an hour older than her twin,
claimed the right
to take care of her sister first,
who had become very tired from hiking.
She carefully covered Lisa,
sang her a lullaby
and sat next to her.
How quiet it was,
how gently Lisa slept.
No, she did not want to
wake up in the middle of the night,
she was healthy and strong
and the older one.
A great caring love
for the sister filled Laura's heart.
How beautiful her Lisa was,
with the gray-brown curls
and the red cheeks.
She wanted to do everything
to make her Lisa
very, very happy.
Little by little
the darkness of the night
turned into dawn.
The nightingale was silent,
the fairies were chirping from the field.
The sky was pink-red,
the dewdrops were shining.
Everything was adorned
as it seems
to receive a ruler
like the sun.
Lisa slept sweetly.
Then Laura looked around
and decided,
as she saw everything so radiant,
to adorn her sister
with the most beautiful meadow flowers
she could find
and then to wake her up
with a kiss.
She stood up quietly.
Two ravens flew
and sat on the tree
because they were snow-white.
But Laura was even more amazed
when the animals began to croak
and she could understand
every word of the raven language
clearly.
You!
croaked the first
and later curiously
fell asleep on the sleeping Lisa.
Such a stupid human child
lost his happiness again!
As always!
answered the second.
We poor stupid animals
are better off
than the people of the earth.
We know where
happiness is to be found.
But what good is it to us?
And we cannot share it
with people,
they do not understand us.
Unless it is a Sunday child
who carries the piece
of the golden thread in his heart.
Yes, that's right, father!
Three steps from here
the big celebration of spring
is celebrated.
If only she would adorn herself
with flowers that are still rare
like moon
and cornflowers
that are already deep
in the field.
Who knows?
I could bet
she would be the most beautiful
among all young women,
would be woven by the good,
rich prince
and would be with her
until the end of her life.
Rob! Rob!
called both,
spread their wings
and hovered against the sun
that had just cast its golden light
over the land.
Laura looked after him.
Well, she thought,
this time I have understood
your language,
must be a Sunday child
and have the piece of the golden thread
I don't want to be lazy.
My Lisa child should be happy.
In a hurry she stepped
on the cornfield
that I pulled up the hill
just in front of the forest.
It was still green,
the morning wind moved it
in shimmering waves.
Laura later played
along the furrows at the edge,
but she did not see any flowers.
Where should now,
as the nightingale still sang,
flowers and moon stand.
I had the best of the white frames,
Laura thought sadly
and wanted to return to her sister.
But just as the wind
broke the green furs apart again,
she saw them glow
deep in the field
a little purplish red
and shimmer a fleck of blue.
No doubt,
these were the desired flowers.
Laura forgot
that she had never entered a field,
because the corn is sacred
and she knew that.
She only thought of her Lisa
and her happiness.
Carefully she stepped into the field.
She bent so far
that she knotted the furs apart
so as not to hurt them,
but as easily as she always went,
her steps left a trace.
Bent, bent
furs formed a furrow
behind her.
She didn't think about it,
but suddenly she had reached the flowers
and her joy was all over the place
full of lovely weeds.
Flower by flower
stood cornflowers and moon.
Laura bent over
and plucked eagerly.
She held a bush so large
that she could not contain herself,
so she gathered the tips
of her furs
and tied the colorful furs into it.
She collected
more large bushes,
so she made her way back.
When she turned around,
it sounded in front of her
as if it came out of the ground,
only further, then closer and clearer a song.
A deep woman's voice
sang half-loud,
speaking for a while more,
then again strongly and angrily
the old words.
Leave the flowers alone,
don't go to the corn,
the rye mower
goes around there.
Then she ducks down,
then she looks again,
she will catch the evil people
who long for the beautiful flowers.
At this last,
very loud,
pronounced word
stood a very small,
so wrinkled woman
in front of the fallen girl.
She looked like a big, mature heiress
with many little fields in the yellow antler,
with cornflower blue eyes
and yellow hair strands.
As if it came out of the ground,
she stood in front of Lora,
swung angrily at a log
and shouted,
What, you big fool,
so old already and still don't know
the commandment of the rye mower?
Tear down the
sowing seed
with a thousandfold effort from me.
Ah, now
I have caught you.
You can see for yourself
if the laborious work of the rye mower
has been successful.
It was a happy idea
that my white ravens
sang their happy song to you.
So I finally have
a market in violence.
That will do
my old bones good.
And you know,
if you make the attempt to escape,
I will also pull your sister
into my magic band.
Lora began to cry bitterly.
Finally she cried out,
Dear good rye mower,
sure,
I missed you badly.
It was to
congratulate my sister.
If the song of the white ravens is true,
then let me go back to my sister
once more.
I promise you,
as I decorated her for the jubilee spring festival
and could show her the way to happiness,
I will join you and want to
pay for my punishment.
When the girl was bathing and moaning,
a funny smile played
in the mouth of the old man.
She thought,
they will never come back.
But then I will get them both
into my violence,
which should be all the better
in this hard working time.
And she replied,
Stop moaning,
I can't stand it anymore.
You missed and have to pay for your sins.
Do you think it is decent of me
to restore all
your sins?
It will take a long time
until they are so far through
caring and caring
to recover and bring their fruit.
That should be your first work.
But what the ravens
sang is true.
So listen,
promise me to return,
so I will give you so much time
that you go to your sister,
adorn her and show her the way.
But pay attention to my words,
as you try
to escape with her,
not only are you
in my violence,
but also she and her happiness
is destroyed.
When Laura
looked down on the little,
weak little woman,
the thought came to me
that all this might just be a dream.
That she, who was strong and healthy,
had to try
to escape the threatening prison.
She made a movement
as if she wanted to hurry
and noticed, to her shock,
that she was tied to the post.
The raven Mooma had only
made a slight swing
with her crutch
and immediately Laura was
wrapped in invisible hands
and strong straw belts,
from top to bottom,
like a wrapping child.
The little woman
looked angrily smiling at her,
but for a moment Laura was free.
She realized that
the raven Mooma was not to be laughed at.
But she said sadly,
it is as you command.
I will only adorn my sister
and help her to happiness.
Then I will return to you
in service and want to atone
for my guilt, the writhing of the slender feet.
Laura collected her flowers
and ran out of the cornfield
to the edge of the forest,
where Lisa was still sleeping
Laura sat down so that she could
see the beautiful face of her sister.
How happy she looked,
how she smiled in her dream.
No, no,
Lisa should never have known
what was ahead of her
and the happiness she had to give her.
Jealous, she tied the flowers to the branch,
to limit others again.
For a while her eyes
darkened with tears,
but then she unwittingly wiped the drops.
They should not prevent her
from helping her sister to happiness.
As the sun rays
just hit the face of the slumberer,
she had to sneeze and woke up.
Surprised, she looked down at herself.
Over and over
she was adorned with flowers.
And just then Laura
took off a purple crown of moons.
Drunk in sleep,
the girl straightened up.
But when she saw Laura's pale face,
she got up quickly
and shouted reproachfully,
You love, evil!
You acted against the agreement
and let me sleep the whole night
and picked the flowers for me.
How beautiful they are!
Not a bit wild!
But why did you do that?
Lisa!
Dear Lisa, hear what I have experienced!
called the sister.
She sat down next to Lisa,
pulled out the rest of the local bread
and while they were
munching on their breakfast,
Laura told how the white ravens
had blackened
and what they said
was good news for Lisa.
She also reported that the slumberer
had confirmed the talk of the animals.
There, right behind the pasture,
the Spring Festival
would be celebrated today
in a magnificent garden.
To this all the young women
who are good and beautiful,
richly adorned with flowers,
would come in inescapable numbers.
But the princes and the princes' sons
who were looking for a bride
were used to choose her
from that flock.
So now a skilled young hero
wanted to do it.
And as the ravens said,
he would not choose anyone
other than Lisa,
who was the best and most beautiful
and at this time of year
the most precious flower jewelry,
the cornflowers and the moondew.
She should make her way
to the garden.
But Laura,
said Lisa,
how should we dress up
so differently there?
Me, cleaned out like a Sunday child,
wearing an everyday skirt.
No, I will take care of you now.
You lie down here again
and put on red cheeks and white eyes
and I hurry to the cornfield
to adorn you with the flower jewelry.
She wanted to walk on,
but Laura pulled her back
and swore with moving words
not to do anything like that
and said,
time is so precious,
you will miss
to get to the garden in time.
So you will not only hurt you,
but especially me.
The white ravens will follow us
with their anger and we will
continue to wander endlessly without rest and rest.
But the king will choose you
to be his wife and he will do it
and you will love him
because he is supposed to be
brave and strong.
So you will not only find a home,
but me too.
You will never leave me
and I look forward to
stretching my tired limbs
under velvet and silk in a king's bed.
But so that I do not hurt you,
I will immediately hurry to the field
because I now know the places
where the flowers,
which are usually only to be found
so much later,
will be happy together
and enjoy life.
They talked back and forth for a while,
but finally Lisa convinced herself
to go ahead alone.
They hugged each other tenderly
because Laura gently pushed Lisa away,
stepped on the narrow path
and drove the still hesitant
in a hurry.
As long as they could see each other,
Laura waved and Lisa
stood still for a moment to look back.
Once she even took a few steps
she wanted to reach her sister again.
But Laura shook her head
and raised her hands begging.
Then Lisa thought
how tired the poor thing was
that she had been doing all night
and that it was now in her hand
to take care of her
and give her a comfortable life.
She bravely stepped out
and wiped her tears
from her bright eyes
when she could no longer see Laura
behind her at a bend in the path.
Only a short time
and the sister would follow her
on the same path.
The forest lit up,
a beautiful music sounded
towards her and a wonderful scent
enveloped her.
She stood in front of a golden fence,
but the large entrance gate was open
and Lisa stepped into the garden
as if she had never seen it before.
Smaragd green lawns
changed with blooming pines,
with blooming golden rain,
with Narcissus fields,
with clear ponds
where spring fountains
hurled the shimmering water
pearly into the heights.
The sound of the harbour game
from the trees and the
thousandfold singing of the birds.
In front of a wide area
there were tents set up
and in front of the same
thousands and thousands of
the most beautifully decorated
young women walked.
There were clothes made of shimmering silk
and all were adorned from the head
to the feet with flowers.
Here the orchid
in rare form and color
hung around the white forehead
of a dark-eyed beauty.
There sat a crown of
Lafrosse roses of another
on the blonde head.
In between, diamonds and rubies
flashed in never-before-seen splendor.
Lisa did not consider
such a shine possible.
Afraid, she hid behind
all the beauties and stood modest
in the last row.
Old servants just
in red skirts through the crowd of ladies
and on golden planks
tender treats were enough for time.
Also Lisa was offered drink and food,
but she was too shy
to accept.
But because she felt hungry,
she took a simple white bun
and also grabbed a second,
which she put in the bag for Laura.
Some of the girls laughed about it
in their vicinity,
held the fans in front of the nests
and tinkered about the strange thing
with the moon and cornflower jewelry,
which was very out of date.
But,
so whispered one to the other,
beautiful is the dirndl.
Now the music became
more and more lovely and seductive.
The girls clasped each other's hands
and began to dance
in tender steps.
But Lisa didn't want to dance.
So she stayed alone.
That didn't bother her much,
but she missed the threat
and thought proudly,
Oh, I can do that better than you.
I don't need you anymore.
While she grasped her robe
and followed the beat of the music.
She thought of her Laura,
of the days and nights
of the journey together,
of the singing of the birds
and of the waving green cornfield.
She moved more and more freely,
without realizing it.
She danced and there were bends
and there were gliding and turning,
everything she had experienced so far.
The happy childhood time
with laughing and jumping,
the happy youth under the care of the grandfather.
Then her dance became serious,
sad.
It described the death of her grandfather,
the departure of the two sisters
and finally
the separation from her faithful Laura.
When she had come so far,
the pain made her exhausted.
She crouched
on the spot where she stood,
slapped her hands in front of her face
and cried bitterly.
Her hands were pulled forward
and in front of her stood
a beautiful young man with blonde curls.
He asked her with a gentle voice
why she was so sad
and who had shown her the wonderful dance
and how she had become the rare
jewel of the corn and moon flowers,
his favorite flowers.
Then Lisa stood up
and because she did well
to talk about her sister
and her experiences,
she told freely everything
that had affected the two of them.
The beautiful young man
listened to her with pleasure.
He then asked her to dance with him,
which wish she gladly fulfilled.
Then he made sure
of the most delicious treats
and Lisa had to sit by his side
He asked her to come to a small car
with white pillows,
with two white little
ruffles and asked her
to go for a walk with him.
When it was finally evening,
Lisa stood with a beating heart
and red cheeks,
looking at the young man
and thought nothing but
that they would have to part now.
With this thought, her heart ached
like with the farewell of her sister.
But how blessed she became
when she held her hand
and asked if she wanted to follow him
as his wife
into his shimmering kingdom.
Then Lisa was so filled
with happiness and love
that she happily said yes,
followed the king's son
and in her joy even ate lora
and did not worry
that loyalty was still not
followed in the garden.
The next day, Lisa and the young king
celebrated a brilliant wedding
with the beautiful queen,
her people, her knightly husband.
Everyone loved the beautiful queen
with the smiling eyes
and the gray brown hair.
Everything that could be seen
in her eyes happened
and Lisa never thought
she would be so happy.
The only shadow was that
Lora had not found herself.
The king comforted her
that the miracle garden
would only open for the longest time.
And if the sunset
had not reached the golden grid,
he would have to wait
until the next year.
And so it was probably
that Lora had gone
and the way into his kingdom
would only lead once a year
through the miracle garden.
Then Lisa was satisfied
and hoped for the next spring.
When he came back,
Lisa weighed a magnificent baby.
Glossy parties were celebrated
on the high earths.
The young queen was not allowed
to enter the journey
to the miracle garden.
She was indispensable
to the land,
but especially to her husband
and her son-in-law.
There Lisa sent out
the most faithful knights.
They should wait for Lora
in the magic garden
and lead her with honor
into the castle.
But the knights
returned home
unharmed.
Among all the beautiful
young women,
Lora was the only one
who could not be harmed.
Famous artists still conjured
Lisa's story
of the little house
in the garden.
It was supposed to become
a tea house.
And Lisa thought with joy
that she could live there.
Among all the beautiful
young women of the magic garden,
Lora was not.
Lisa's son-in-law
did not want to be comforted.
Again and again she asked
the knights.
One of them,
who had gladly left
his life for the young queen,
had to tell her
exactly all the events
of his journey.
So that he could only
take care of the animals.
Then Lisa shook her hands
and said,
These are the white ravens
that my sister
gave birth to.
The white ravens know
about my Lisa.
Faithful knight,
so you love me a little,
so ride day and night
and see that you
bring me the birds alive.
Lisa immediately got on his horse
and hurried off.
Right, after a few weeks
he came back and had
two white ravens
in a cage behind him.
And he carried his arm
in the sling,
because the evil animals
had bitten him hard.
Then the young queen thanked him,
let him bind him,
and the king gave the brave
a golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
and the king
gave the golden chain
Lisa walked quietly
towards the rose house.
Already from a distance she heard
the birds fluttering and screeching.
When she came close,
she whispered softly behind a bush
and whispered on her scream.
They seemed to talk to each other
and gradually the queen understood
some sounds.
That's what you get
called one white raven,
if you get involved with people.
No, said the other one.
That is the punishment
that you wanted to get
from the evil white raven.
Why did you have to
encircle the young knight
and tell him that the king's sister
in the form of the white raven
whistled and had to work
like a slave?
Lisa had heard enough.
She rushed in front of the frightened
birds and said,
Listen, I have heard everything.
Now you are in my power
but if you tell me how
I can free my poor sister,
I will give you your freedom back.
The animals answered,
We can't do that.
Only the raven can do that.
The queen said,
So I want to free one of you.
Hurry up to the raven
and bring me news in three days
how to free my Laura.
The birds agreed.
Lisa opened
the cage a little
and let one of her companions out.
Now she was waiting
in fear for his return
and became so pale and sad
that her groom and the whole country
were trembling. Finally,
it had become autumn and the wild leaves
were fluttering wildly through the land.
One evening the queen heard
something knocking at her window.
When she opened it was the white raven.
He swung to her in the chamber
and it took a long time
before he could start
because he had become
completely voiceless from the effort.
But finally he stood up
to what he had discovered
and his little eyes sparkled violently.
It's a bad thing,
Mrs. Queen,
about the fight with the raven.
And I don't want to
let your sister go anymore,
not even for gold and goods.
I saw your sister,
she is pale and sad,
works from early to late
and still hopes to touch
the heart of the cruel rag doll
and to get her freedom.
For you she went
into the field
to get the flowers for your jewelry.
She was surprised
and captured by the rag doll.
Only for a short time
did she regain her freedom
to adorn you
and show you the way to happiness.
Then she had to
stand up to the evil old woman,
otherwise it would have been
not only her death,
but also yours.
Now the noble young woman
realizes that it is shameful
and reaches out to the heart
to see her,
year in and year out,
and has to do the work
for the rag doll
in the cornfields of the earth.
The palms support
and the summer threads spin
as the cornflowers
that the rag doll
no longer lets go of her,
although she promises her
from year to year
to keep her up
and at work.
I have done my best,
but what the rag doll
wants so that she
releases your sister
is unfulfillable
and I do not dare
to share it with you.
The young queen
grumbles,
and one notices
that it pleases her
to be an unfortunate messenger.
So know, noble queen!
The rag doll laughed
when I promised her
all the treasures of the world.
She so agreed
to release the young woman Lora.
Then she swung her stick
and cried,
there is only one means
of liberation.
I have sacrificed
the queen with her little child.
I have the throne of the kingdom
in my hands,
so I want to give up
the young woman.
Her grumbling has been
annoying me for a long time
and I can raise the child
to my services
without remembering
his origin.
These,
said the raven,
but she herself
had no quiet hour.
Day and night she looked
at the rescue of her sister
and became transparent
like a lily leaf,
so that the king
did not know
to let himself
be afraid of his wife.
But Lisa did not dare
to tell the king
the words of the raven,
because she knew
her fear of the knight
and trusted him with what she had heard.
Then Lisa bent down,
climbed his horse and ride
and searched so long
until he really got to see the raven.
But he could not catch her,
much more she immediately
surrounded him with the indestructible
straw winds,
but she told him the same words
that the raven had announced.
Then she swung the stick
and he was free
to announce to the queen.
Then Lisa knew that she had to
bring the sacrifice for her sister.
In a warm summer night
she kissed her sleeping child
four thousand times and gave it
to the faithful knight.
He carried it to the field
where the raven howled.
Lisa fell into a serious illness
and when she was pale and weak
for the first time again
she showed herself to the people,
she noticed to her stranger
and the king's pain
blinded her.
She had hardly reached her bed
when she saw the knight come.
But he himself had to tell her
that the false raven had probably
disappeared with the rattle in the field,
but that never, as long as he waited
had the virgin Laura
stepped out of the same,
so that there was no doubt
that the old man had kept the boy
and the virgin.
Then Lisa lost her mind.
Suddenly the king came to her
and demanded his boy from her.
He spoke gently and with deep pain
and told her that the whole
people were outraged about the queen,
because it went through the country
the safe knowledge that she had
sacrificed her child.
Then Lisa did not hold back any longer
and told the boy everything.
The king became angry and accused her
that she did not trust him,
because, he said,
before queens such a
spook is always feared,
and I would have forced her
to release your sister.
But now that she has our son
also in the violence,
she will laugh in my safety.
Then the poor queen cried
and asked the ruler if he wanted
to try again to save
child and sister.
But the people gathered daily
in front of the castle and demanded
stormy, one should condemn
the bad queen to death.
When he saw that he would not be able
to save his wife from the wrath of the people,
he ordered the faithful knight
to saddle the horse at night.
Then he led his wife
out, lifted her into the saddle,
jumped behind her on the horse,
because the poor queen was far too weak
to ride alone,
and waved to the knight to follow her.
So they left the kingdom
and rode for a long time through the country,
until they came to the field
where at that time Laura had brought
the precious jewelry of her sister.
This is where they left.
Like a long time ago, the sisters
so the king and the knight
laid moss under the tree
on the edge of the forest
so that the exhausted could rest.
But they themselves surrounded the field
to become the rogues.
When Lisa sat alone in the moss,
in great fear and worry,
she suddenly heard a voice
that drove the blood
into her pale cheeks,
because she realized
that it had to be Laura
who sang before her there in a short distance.
She could understand the words
that said,
Sleep, my prince boy,
sleep in my protection.
I bid the white raven
and all enemies death.
When she had sung so,
Lisa heard the chirping of a bird
and saw the white raven
hovering over the field
with a loud creak.
She began to scream a child's voice
and again it sounded
gentle and soothing.
Sleep, my precious prince boy,
all honors bow down.
My love covers you
and you remain my own.
Then Lisa got up
and ran to the field
and cried quietly,
because she didn't want to attract
the rogues.
Laura, dear sister, is that you?
As soon as the grain split,
I saw Laura with her boy in her arms.
She then approached the edge of the field.
But when Lisa
whistled joyfully at her
and wanted to close her arms,
she ran back in fear and cried,
No more!
The fathom separates us,
the pale straw fathom that surrounds
the whole field on orders of the rogues
and is impenetrable,
and you come to him,
dear sister,
so you will also fail
in the end.
And when he saw the young woman in the field,
they wanted to hurry to her,
but again Laura shouted warningly,
Look out!
When the grain was put here in the field
for my rescue,
I could not bring it over my heart
to give it here alone to the rogues
and stayed with the boy,
although the rogues offered me
their own freedom.
But since then she does not trust me
and only intends to harm
When he saw her,
he felt great courage in his heart
and cried,
When you thought of giving the sister
happiness and understanding
the white frame,
only a Sunday child
could understand the meaning
of the golden thread on the heart.
Well, the golden thread
must help us.
Hold your heart,
noble young woman,
and try to pull it out.
And when she fell asleep,
she did not want to fall
and with the other
she grasped her heart.
Right!
She led a fine thread
between her fingers
and, although she was in pain,
she pulled it out a little
and now held a shimmering
golden thread in her hand.
She reached the knight
and said,
Hurry!
The golden thread
and hurried with him into the field.
The straw thread
that surrounded the field
fell back when touched.
The knight unhurriedly
reached the young woman
and reached her hand.
She followed him
and was already with one foot
over the edge of the field
when some high moonflowers
and wicked ranks
wrapped themselves tightly
on her hand and pulled her on.
The boy disappeared in the field.
A desperate cry
sounded from the edge.
Lisa, the poor mother,
pushed him out.
In fear of death,
without paying attention
to the straw thread,
she fell forward and grabbed
her poor beating heart.
She also felt a fine thread
between her fingers,
pulled it, tore it into daylight
and pulled it back.
And she grabbed her child.
Then she reached the border,
cheered by her husband
and the other two.
But Laura hurried,
because her husband was still in danger
of being caught here.
The knight lifted Laura
on his horse,
the happy king his queen,
who held the boy in her arm.
They hardly moved,
so they were caught
by the straw thread.
The knights rushed
at great speed
and threatened to overwhelm
and suffocate them.
In vain, the king and the knight
pulled the sisters
and pulled down the weeds.
And from every dying flower
sprang ten new ones.
In this danger,
when the dew had already
been exhausted under the winds
and threatened to collapse,
Laura tried to touch the flowers
with the magic thread.
She pulled it out herself
and Lisa followed her example.
As they touched the flowers with him,
they fell to the ground.
Now all the flower flames
tried to swallow the knights,
but again the women
held the thread against them.
There the flames sank together
and so the cowards
rode into the shady forest.
The magic thread of golden sisters
and mother's love
had saved them all.
There was endless celebration
when the palace was reached.
Feasts were celebrated
and soon the wedding
of the faithful knight
with the faithful Laura took place.
The happy king and his wife
gave the two a kingdom
that was close to theirs.
Now Laura and Lisa lived
close together again,
met daily with their children
in the park and did not forget
the kind foreword of his concern
to free the two missing people.
They let him come to them
and prepared a carefree
happy evening for the old man.
Everyone,
everyone loved the two sisters
Laura and Lisa,
who faithfully guarded the treasure,
the golden thread in their hearts
and passed it on to their children
and grandchildren.
