Tại sao người nước ngoài lại có ý thức bảo vệ môi trường sống của Việt Nam, trong khi đó nhiều người Việt sinh sống trên chính quê hương mình lại không ý thức được điều đó?

Why do foreigners have the awareness to protect the environment of Vietnam, while many Vietnamese living in their hometowns are not aware of it?
James Joseph Kendall is an American born and raised in Springfield, Ohio.
James took on the job of teaching English at a primary school.
When asked why he decided to move to Hanoi, he replied, why can't I do that?
James further explained that it was a question that was very difficult for him to answer because he loved Hanoi and wanted to protect this city, preserve the environment for everyone.
In May 2016, James and his friends started cleaning up garbage in some areas of Hanoi.
Starting with tidying up the garbage at the smelter in Phuong Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, the Hanoi Clean Do club, James led the group to make the people of the capital not to be indifferent.
The image of a foreign man not hesitating to pour black water into the garbage has immediately become a hot topic that has spread on social media.
Since then, James has often been called the garbage cleaner or the garbage picker.
Many people think that he is only doing it for nothing because the garbage is full of children.
However, his actions have lit a fire in the hearts of the people of Hanoi.
Over 6 years of activity, the Hanoi Clean team has more than 5,000 members, most of the age range from 17 to 50, and 80% are Vietnamese.
The group collects hundreds of thousands of tons of garbage, organizes clean-up at 103 locations and areas on the city's map.
For 2 years of the epidemic, the group launched a movement to clean up the garbage where volunteers live and receive response.
He shared and affirmed that cleaning up garbage comes from a personal desire to love Hanoi, not a mission, asking someone to pay back or be grateful.
People are used to Benjamin J. Park or James Joseph Kendall, the Westerners who like to pick up garbage in Hanoi.
In Ho Chi Minh City and many other provinces of Vietnam, there are also many foreigners who have such a strange hobby.
When he was 25 years old, he came from South Africa, he was studying to become a doctor in Germany.
When he was born in Vietnam, he took part in a science exchange at Thuy Loi University, Hanoi.
During the garbage picking trips, he cleaned up the water source and educated children in many places where he was born.
He always emphasized that the problem of pollution in Vietnam is very big, but from my experience, I think it will be solved.
I believe that education, awareness of people's development will help the green environment to be beautiful again.
I took part in some garbage picking trips because I wanted to prove that everyone can change the world around.
The motivation for him to stick to the job of cleaning up the environment in Vietnam is not sloppy,
that is, when I clean up, I am also telling people how to reduce waste.
If you have to get a job, don't wait for anyone to encourage you.
Look at our children, our future, how do you want them to grow up in the environment?
Seeing the city sleeping all over after the storm No Du, many tourists and foreigners living in Hoi An
went down the road to clean up the old city, open the gate.
On September 28, 2022, after walking around the old city, many tourists saw the An Hoi Bridge being demolished,
so they were willing to pull the garbage out of its place.
Not only men, but also foreign women participated in this work.
Peter Cornish came from London, the UK.
4 years back, Peter Cornish has been particularly concerned about garbage issues.
He is holding the role of managing Funpet Clean Up Vietnam,
that is, a non-governmental organization aimed at protecting the environment
with many clean-up activities in northern and southern provinces.
Peter Cornish has participated in many garbage collection sessions in many public places in Vietnam,
mobilized many students, students, employees of factories, residents of residential areas to participate.
Clean Up Vietnam and Peter Cornish have held many inspirational learning sessions for young people
about recycling, reduction, reuse, to make life greener.
A man from London shared,
Garbage from the use of plastic once more.
However, we can reduce this by adjusting ourselves.
Let's say no to plastic bags, plastic cups or plastic straws, etc.
Peter Cornish also said,
Garbage collection does not bring him benefits,
however, it makes him feel happy.
It is difficult to quantify the benefits, the effects of what we have done,
but the biggest change is awareness.
The knowledge and knowledge of all Vietnamese people about garbage,
harm, solution, will gradually bring positive results.
It's time for us to have stronger tools.
For example, in the US,
the US government has the right to impose on street vendors in national parks to use plates,
food containers with materials that can be bio-disposable.
In Hawaii,
an initiative to raise cash for garbage collectors has helped collect nearly 75 tons of garbage in more than 2 years.
Or in Ireland,
the tax of $ 0.02 for each plastic bag has raised nearly $ 13 million
and reduced up to 90% of plastic bag consumption once.
This amount of money is used to contribute to the country's environmental activities.
Or in Korea,
the people are paid to collect garbage.
Perhaps, at first, there were people who saw this garbage collection job as a bluff,
as a prison break and a robbery.
But gradually, people are also aware that such jobs are very beneficial and welcome.
These issues must be very persistent.
Once you start, don't give up because it's your life.
However, here, we see,
no country, no matter how perfect the law is,
can lead to all the actions of humans.
But it comes from each person himself.
Only when self-awareness,
the responsibility of each person to speak for himself and society in general,
can new good things arise.
If you don't have time to sit down to enjoy a cup of coffee,
a cup of milk tea in the wooden cup of the shop,
buy a cup that can be reused
and remember to bring it with you whenever you travel.
You can also bring a reusable water bottle for yourself.
Limit the use of plastic bags,
no plastic bags,
plastic straws,
plastic cans.
Just buy enough food and use it all.
And toothbrushes,
toothbrushes,
shampoo,
knitting net.
When traveling,
it should be difficult to bring with you the familiar items you are using to minimize waste.
Remember to throw the trash where it is proper and your children's education does the same
.
About the westerners throwing their garbage,
let's address the things that are kind and nice to talk to people.
Otherwise, it's only a sand cart.
