When doctors told 17-year-old Jackie Gonsher
she'd never walk again,
she was determined to prove them wrong.
And what better day to do that than on her wedding day?
The bride was paralyzed at 17 when she broke her neck
in an accident at a friend's pool.
Seven years later, she got engaged to her now husband,
Andy, with one goal in mind,
to walk down the aisle and dance at their wedding.
After working with physical therapists
and spending extra time in the gym on her own,
her dream came true.
Praise God.
Jackie walked down the aisle without her wheelchair,
and the best part, it was a surprise
to her friends and family.
It was all caught on camera,
but what made the moment even more special
was that it was also captured in this drawing.
Jackie says she danced so much on her wedding night
she tore a hole in her dress.
Now Jackie's set on enjoying life
and says that she hopes to one day get up
and run like Forrest Gump.
