This is a well-known company that has been making multitools for a long time for the whole world, and they are really very good. For a long time, they were famous for their insanely endless warranty, then it disappeared somewhere, and now it really comes back again. And we have new colors. For example, Leatherman Charge is a fairly standard model that many people know. It really fell in love with a lot of people. This is a choice, let's say, among urban multitools, because the tools that are in it are, in fact, in principle, in order to be used every day. That is, here are the simplest tools that are available, and, in principle, I will not show you everything, I will only say that there are a certain number of screwdrivers, scissors, pliers, of course, knives, including a serrator. A saw, it's a file. Well, in fact, if we talk about the tools that are in these multitools, well, they will be approximately the same in all of them. They will be different in the quality of the materials and in the convenience of using the multitool. And this, in fact, is a very important point. The fact is that any multitool, of all the ones presented here, well, almost all of them, which we would not take, it will definitely have pliers, a flat screwdriver, a screwdriver, a knife, and so on. There are a couple of points in which they differ. For example, Charge. Why am I showing you this one? Because it is the most standard and this is the basis from which, probably, it will be necessary to start. I brought it to this video today, not because you already know everything about it, but because it is in a new color. This is a pretty beautiful green camouflage. In general, this has not happened before. Well, what will be the difference between Leatherman, if to be exact, Charge+, which I have in my hands, let's say, from Ganza multitools or something like that, is that it has a 154CM steel blade, this is a cool tool, this is not 440C or some primitive stainless steel, this is really a knife with which you can work a lot, but at the same time it will hold the sharpening for a long time, it will not bend, nothing will happen to it and it will remain sharp, and this is very important, in my opinion. The tools they have at different multitools are fixed in different ways, at some they are not fixed at all, and on Leatherman there is always a lock. Well, in this case, Liner Lock. Convenience of use is also a separate feature. Leatherman, that's exactly Charge+, this is a fairly standard option, which, in principle, I can, with one hand, in a closed position, without opening the multitool, get different types of blades with my thumb of the right hand, for example. In the same way as by hooking, let's say, with my nail, I can open a file. For this I do not need to open the entire multitool, and I think this is a rather important feature. Moreover, all the tools that we get are fixed. I will say right away that they have different components. The most important thing, I think, is the bit kit. Sometimes it happens that they do not go to the Charges, sometimes it happens that they immediately go in the kit, the price depends on it, depending on the delivery, but in this case, the one I have in my hands, it is equipped with such a kit, it immediately has a set of Leatherman bits. Leatherman bits, this means that they are not stupid, they are really good, that is, they are well tempered, and this means that when we use these bits, for example, using Torx, to unscrew some knife or, say, a mobile phone, we will not lick the screw slot, but really unscrew it well, and they will not spoil the screws. There is also a clip that we can install if we want to carry a multitool in our pocket. And also a ring if we want to install a ring instead of a clip and, say, hang it on some carabiner and wear it not on your pocket, but attach it to your backpack, for example. Let's move on right away. The case comes with almost every Leatherman, and this is what I wanted to show you next. This is probably the most non-standard among Leatherman multitools, because, as I said, most of the multitools are made so that you can take them with you every day and solve everyday tasks. You can screw a screw somewhere, bite off some wire, and this one is called Signal. In this case, it is in the color of an iron man. There are black, red and yellow colors here. Signal in general is a special multitool, including because it is absolutely not urban. Most of the things that he has here, the brightest in his functionality, are designed to take this multitool with you somewhere out of town, on a trip, and so on. Including because he has a fireplace here in the city. It is rarely useful to anyone, but in nature it is quite possible to make a fire with it. There is also something like Musato, that is, a small diamond device that allows you to sharpen a knife. Yes, there is a file in many multitools, but we cannot, say, remove it and sharpen a knife on the same multitool, and here it can be done. There is also a striking surface, which can actually be used as a hammer. And this is not at all in all multitools, and very much not in many. But what is important, in my opinion, is a carabiner, which is immediately present here. A carabiner somewhere on a trip can be quite useful to us, for example, when working with a rope. Again, I say that it is convenient, because we can immediately remove the blade. In this case, it comes with a semi-serrated sharpener. It is fixed on the liner-lock, that is, I can operate it completely with one hand. And in my opinion, this is important. But I can also get a hacksaw on a tree here. It is flexible, it is really a good saw, although it is small in size. In the kit, again, he has a Leatherman case, but in principle, I think that almost everyone has a case here, at least those who need it. Next, I would like to continue with multitools from Gerber. A lot has already been said about Leatherman, but almost nothing about Gerber. And this model is called Compact Sport Multitool 600. In fact, it works like this. Leatherman already had such a design in the OHT model, that is, One Hand Tool. In fact, this idea has already been repeated here. What is the point? The point is that it is difficult to open this with one hand, but here you don't have to worry at all. Here in such a Gerber case, it hangs, say, on your belt or is in your pocket. You take it out with one hand, and even if your hands are in gloves, tactical or thick, or even in winter gloves, in principle, you can always press just on both sides, and it comes out in this way. In fact, this means that this is the most convenient multitool for opening among all variations, form factors among all multitools. At the same time, it has, of course, a number of disadvantages. For example, we cannot remove a knife from a closed multitool with one hand. But on the other hand, I still do not consider a multitool a full-fledged replacement for a knife. A tool is a tool, a knife is a knife, so this is just a tool. A cool system, it works well. At the same time, yes, it already has a saw, a file, a screwdriver and everything else. That is, in principle, it has a complete set. But the lock is quite convenient, because there is no longer a liner lock, I don't even know what this lock is called. But here is such a large plate, which we can both move with two fingers, and one just for ourselves. And that's it, it is already removed from the lock, and, in principle, the multitool can be closed. Also, all other tools are on the other side. It is made of stainless steel in the case and quite well tempered on the tools and on the passages themselves. It is available in two variations, that is, it is actually the same multitool, but in different sizes. 600 and 400. What else do I want to say about it? About its cost. Well, in fact, among the famous, let's say, branded multitools up to 10, well, it is quite difficult to find something decent, most often. Because lasermans for 10 went a long time ago. It is clear what we pay for here, and for the quality of execution, for steel and for warranty, which is important. Gerber presents us with a famous multitool. Indeed, they are responsible for quality, they are quite interesting, and in this case, these multitools are also convenient. Now, at the time of shooting this video, their cost varies around 7-8 thousand rubles. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to this. Well, here I took not only premium brands, which, in principle, recommended themselves in America, and then went out to the whole world, and now they are known everywhere. Accordingly, this, of course, forms the price. This is a very important point. We have options that, let's say, up to five. At the same time, in terms of configuration, they can represent about the same. The most interesting of them, I would call multitools SQT. Why? Because they are kind of an analogue of a lot of multitools from the company Laserman, for example, or Gerber. Yes, their materials, again, are different. That is, here is not some kind of instrumental steel, here is really 440C or something like that. At the same time, in terms of configuration, layout and, importantly, assembly, they are not inferior. In my opinion, if we talk about multitools up to 5,000 rubles, MQ21 is probably the most interesting option. If you look closely, then we can see the same Laserman here. Moreover, one of the most popular models. Who knows, write in the comments which model we are talking about. Up to 3,000 we have MQ2043. This is one of the new options. It is spring-loaded, which is important. In fact, when I chose a multitool, I will just share my personal opinion with you. I tried, held in my hand, well, everything that was in our store, literally everything. And I realized that with a spring that allows them to work in this way, that is, we let go of our hand, and it opens for us. This is very convenient. Yes, not all multitools have this. And not in all cases is it necessary. The fact is that if we take, let's say, Charge+, then to open it, I need to move my fingers and manually move the handle to grab something. And this can be quite inconvenient. If we are talking about grabbing something quickly and many times with pliers, break it, let's say, or bend it. Spring-loaded is really a big advantage. Yes, in terms of configuration, it will probably be simpler than the analogues of competitors, let's say. But at the same time, he has the main set of tools here. That is, he has a passatige, and a cross screwdriver, and a flat screwdriver, and knives, and everything else is also here. He also has a tool lock. The lock works according to the principle of Axis Lock on Benchmade. In fact, its main advantage is its price. Well, again, he has almost all the tools spring-loaded here. The blade here is quite simple, again, semi-serrated, with a sharpening that is quite good. You can use it and cut straight from the box. Axis Lock on such a knife is probably not the best option. But for all other tools, this lock really works well. So pay attention. They come with a case. Plus, they all have clips at once. If you don't like to wear it in a case, you can simply hang it on your pocket. In terms of price and quality, probably as a full-fledged multitool, I would consider this option. If I need a multitool for a long time, so that it works for me for many, many years, I will probably still choose Leatherman. Just because they have a guarantee of quality, the materials are much more tenacious, and this is an important point. A knife, for example, or a scabbard. When I work with them, and not just wear them or show them to friends or to you on video, they still wear out and can fail over time. Therefore, good materials, such as steel 154CM for a knife, are important. There is another important point. Scabbards always have side cutters, i.e. pliers, with which we can bite. As a rule, wires bite. So, we can see the screws on them. This means that we can remove them. And all the time people ask the question, why do we need these screws? Can we replace them? Because there are usually no such replacements on sale. First of all, it happens, we have them, now I have them in my hand. That is, these are replaceable pliers. They are produced in this case by Zari Tools for Leatherman multitools. Therefore, I inform everyone who asked. They are on sale. And some spare parts for multitools. For example, replaceable screws, clips, rings. But the most important thing I decided to show you. Replaceable pliers, these side cutters. Yes, it is clear that you can unscrew, sharpen and screw them back. Why are they replaceable and separate here? Including because they are made of a slightly different steel, harder, so that they do not crumple when we work with them. But replaceable pliers are also available, keep in mind. For now, they are on sale. Because, you know, the product is such a thing. If there is a high demand for it, it may not always be available. Therefore, follow the links and be sure to watch. Well, I would also like to show you interesting multitools. Nextool and Roxon. For example, this Nextool multitool interested me because it is of some strange shape. That is, if everything is clear on most multitools. They somehow look more or less symmetrical. Then here is something strange. I twisted it, disassembled it and realized that in addition to the pliers, which are spring-loaded, there is another very important element. Now I will open it and show you. Oops! This thing is more complex and more interesting. It has full-fledged big scissors here. Not small manicure scissors, but straight big. That is, we can take this multitool with us or put it in a set of equipment in which we may need full-fledged big scissors. If, for example, we work with some cutting material, or we take it where we can get into trouble. And, for example, like a paramedic's scissors. That is, if we have a fracture or some kind of injury, so that we can, say, cut the pants, to really treat the wound or fix the fracture. This is important. The scissors here are very good and they cut very well. They are full-fledged and large, so that you do not have to pick up a large piece of fabric with small scissors. In principle, in everything else, this multitool is about the same as all the others. The kit, again, has screwdrivers, replaceable pliers. They can be replaced or removed, sharpened and installed back. The saw is here again. Again, all the tools here have a lock. That is, in this case, there is a liner lock. In my opinion, this is one of the most convenient locks, especially for multitools. Because when I talk about this axis lock, here you need to understand that with one hand, if this is some kind of Benchmade Bugout, a famous knife, the axis lock will work like this. That is, we pressed it a little bit and the knife opened and closed. On multitools, this may not always work like this. Therefore, on multitools, in my opinion, it is important that there is a liner. This is very good. And Raxxon. I liked this one in general. Firstly, it looks like a Batmobile. That is, it is stylish and cool. And if these are all gray, sad, boring ... Well, okay, I won't talk about the Iron Man from Leatherman. Well, here it really looks like Tony Stark. This one really looks like Batman. It has plastic liners. And this is the point that most people do not talk about when choosing a multitool. Plastic liners are good and convenient. Because we do not always use multitools in comfortable conditions for us. If we are in a carpentry workshop, we have a lot of tools. A multitool is usually needed when there is nothing at hand and it works for everyone. This can happen in winter. Therefore, plastic liners will allow your hands not to freeze when working with it. Here is such a thing. Grip, convenient and very ergonomic. This is an important point that many people do not talk about. Let's say, if we take this one. Here we have a lot of corners, some edges. If I squeeze it very hard, I will feel discomfort with my fingers and palm. There is no discomfort here. It is made like a piece of soap. The knife does not have a hole for opening, but has a full-fledged pin. In my opinion, this is much cooler than opening a hole like most multitools. It is not like Spyderco. It is narrow and small. If we work in gloves, this pin feels good. Mechanics are not enough here. Firstly, it is not paid for. You will see this at a price if you follow the links in the description of the video. Secondly, this is a multitool, not a knife. And the most interesting thing, in addition to the appearance, is that the fixer works a little differently. Here is a separate fixer, a separate moving flag, spring-loaded, for fixing all tools. That is, if the knife is fixed on the liner lock, then all other tools, when we open, they click, are fixed, but to remove them from the fixer, here is a big button. A multitool is one of the most convenient for working in gloves. Keep this in mind. Therefore, I always recommend, when we choose a multitool, to understand what conditions we will work in. It is clear that in many cases it will be chosen to be, just in case, that is, in unpredictable conditions. If I know that I will work, most likely, in gloves with this multitool, then I will probably choose this one. Well, or, probably, OHT. If I need passages. Then, yes, this UTRAXON is probably my choice. The only point. Here, in the kit, again, there is a fire. A fire, as I said, is a very conditional thing. That is, in the city it is not needed at all. Not everyone needs it, even on a hike. Nevertheless, I would say that this knife is really for most cases in life. And, probably, this multitool I would choose to have it in my car if I live in Russia. Especially in those regions where winter is long. That is, cold autumn, cold spring and cold winter. Plastic pads do not freeze my hand. Perhaps I can get into trouble somewhere on the road and I will need to make a fire. In this case, I will probably use the fire. In all other cases, I will probably only show off. The kit includes a case. The case is very simple and primitive, but there is a clip. It is better to wear it on a clip than to keep it in a glove compartment. But for the city, for everyday wear, I would like to choose something as compact as possible, convenient. And many people choose a multitool not as a kit for a knife, but instead of a knife. And this is not unambiguous, but this opinion has the right to exist. Many people do just that. In this case, I would probably recommend considering this knife. The point is, it is extremely compact. Even among all that I have shown you, the smallest is probably the Gerber. But it is really thinner and smaller, much more laconic and ergonomic. It has a clip and it has an assisted blade. That's the point. It works on a pin. It has a liner lock here. That is, it is a full-fledged small knife, but already as a second, its second functionality. Here, in the handle, there is a clip. Moreover, the clip of the SOG company on multitools, they work a little differently. If you look closely, we can see something like a gear here. That is, it has such an X-shaped system, which allows you to increase the effort when clamping the clip. In short, compared to other multitools, if we want to grab something very tightly with the clips, then this system allows us to increase the clamping force here, reducing the clamping force here. That is, with the same effort with the hand, we get much more force on the clips themselves. I hope I have now explained what I wanted to say. Also, it is stylish, it really looks interesting, it works very softly. This model is called Flash, SOG Flash. It looks like a baby Flash. Also, the SOG multitools have a distinctive feature that the bit holder is located on the back of the clip. Here, in the handle, under the blue cover, there is a flat and cross bit. We take it out and insert it on the back of the clip, and it is very tightly clamped. And with such a screwdriver we can work quite fully without being afraid to break it, bend it, or something like that. The clamping force is very good and the bit will not fall out. It is not on the magnet, it works on the clamping force. At the same time, we unclamp it, it is easily pulled out and stored here. Therefore, for the city, this is probably the most optimal option. As I said, it is equipped with a pin, of course, with a safety pin. Here we can turn it on and off in this way. It is beautiful, stylish, compact and fast, which is important for urban wear. Well, for the city, I would probably like to show such things. Often, instead of a multitool, people take such an EDC trinket. Everyone calls them differently. I would still stop at EDC trinket. In fact, this is an opener. There is something like a universal wrench. We can't unscrew such big nuts here, but for most of us who can meet in the city, it will do. A crowbar. I think they can be used to lift doors. I probably used this thing to lift hatches. If you do not have a knife and you like to lift hatches. There are also two bits here. Flat cross on one side, on the other side we have torxes. These torxes are for disassembling knives, and the most popular in size. And they are inserted in the opposite direction. The bit holder is here. This is a thing from Olight, which makes lanterns, but also makes knives, bags and multitools. They took this topic not so long ago for their production. I want to wish them good luck, because everything is fine with their designs, they do well. And here is such a titanium opener with a ruler and a wrench. This is a stylish accessory that will not pull your pocket every day. Despite its thickness, it is quite light. I would hang it in my backpack just in case. This is a tool from the same company. It's called All Tackle. An interesting thing is a keychain-accessory. Again, an opener with a retractable blade. This is actually an office or assembly knife. This is a trapezoid blade, which is sold in most household and construction stores. But so that it does not open in our pocket, we have a fuse. We turn this little thing and it opens. You can open a lemonade, of course a beer, and it has notches under the thumb on both sides. It is really convenient to work and cut. It has a titanium body and a carbon lining. It is flat, does not take up space and weighs almost nothing. As a keychain or something like that, I think this thing is very useful. This is a spare knife. This thing is probably recommended in case you often have to go through the frame somewhere, and without a knife you absolutely cannot. You need it, for example, for work. Such a keychain, as a rule, if it hangs on the keys, does not cause any suspicions and does not attract attention. That's all. Again, we will not be able to do terrible things with it, but this is just a small cutter that can open boxes and everything else. Keep in mind, we also have such things. Well, these are the multitools that I showed you today. They seemed to me the most interesting and cool.
