The FBI has been targeting former President Donald Trump and his supporters as domestic terrorists. This was done through a subtle change in language, a minor alteration in how they label domestic extremist threats. But that minor difference has sweeping implications. It changed the standards so that a group could be targeted for political views. In this episode of Crossroads, we’ll discuss how this change aligns with a broader shift in politics, which is targeting MAGA supporters. Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and guests, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.
Good evening and welcome to Crossroads.
The FBI has been targeting Trump and his supporters as domestic terrorists.
This was done through a subtle change in language.
It was from a minor alteration in how they label domestic extremist threats.
But this very minor difference actually has sweeping implications.
It changed the standards so that a group could be targeted for their political views.
Now the finding on this was exposed by an investigation by Newsweek.
The most significant part, in my opinion, is about halfway down this article and it
says this, that right after January 6th, the FBI co-authored a restricted report on the
Capitol breach and on the J6 riots.
And in that report, they changed the definition of AGAAVE.
That's an acronym for Anti-Government, Anti-Authority, Violent Extremism.
Now under the old definition, that was defined as the furtherance of ideological agendas.
And under the new definition, the FBI changed that to furtherance of political and or social
agendas.
Now Newsweek noted that because of this change in terror designations, for the first time
such groups could be so labeled because of their politics.
Now even Newsweek, which Tenton's DeVere left, they noted it was a quote, subtle change,
little noticed, but a gigantic departure for the Bureau, the FBI.
Now this subtle change gave the FBI and the Biden justice system by extension, new powers
to target their political enemies.
They redefined terrorism.
And because of this, they can now use the expansive powers of counter-terrorism, meaning
they don't need evidence of guilt to go after you, to target roughly half the country's
voters.
Now that being President Donald Trump and his supporters, of course.
Newsweek even states Trump and his army of supporters were acknowledged as a distinct
category of domestic violent extremists, even as the FBI was publicly saying that political
views were never part of its criteria to investigate or prevent domestic terrorism.
Also, this subtle piece of evidence could be the key in understanding some of what's
unfolding in the country over the past few years.
The accusations from Republicans that the justice system has been politically weaponized
against conservatives.
The use of terror investigations by the FBI and Justice Department to target otherwise
peaceful protesters.
You know, the parents criticizing their school boards, the people being raided by the FBI
for protesting at abortion clinics.
And while the White House has denied involvement in the actions of the FBI and DOJ, public
statements from President Joe Biden have suggested otherwise.
Many people were puzzled by his Soul of the Nation speech in September last year.
Many people were shocked at the red and black backdrop to his speech, where he lashed out
against the MAGA movement.
MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards, backwards to an America where there
is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry
who you love.
They promote authoritarian leaders and they fan the flames of political violence that
are a threat to our personal rights.
Now Biden actually has made similar statements since then.
And even recently, in fact, he gave a full speech dedicated to the condemnation of his
political enemies.
Just last week, in fact, during a speech in Arizona, Biden called out what he referred
to as MAGA extremists, and he framed Trump and his supporters as an extremist movement
that does not share the basic beliefs of our democracy.
Watch.
And there's something dangerous happening in America now.
There's an extremist movement that does not share the basic beliefs in our democracy,
the MAGA movement.
Not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans adhere to the MAGA extremist
ideology.
I know because I've been able to work with Republicans my whole career.
But there's no question that today's Republican Party is driven and intimidated by MAGA Republican
extremists.
Now, of course, look, it's one thing to express disagreement with the views on the other side
of the political aisle.
President Donald Trump had also frequently called out the Democrats as being radicals.
And with Biden, though, the difference is whether the justice system is following the
label as an actual designation of terrorism or extremism.
That's the line.
Radical speech is one thing, but leveraging the broad powers of counterterrorism is another.
And the other big question is, well, look, if such a massive swath of the country is
aligning with alleged extremist views, what do you do with them?
This is where the programs for censorship come into play.
And this isn't just a domestic program.
It's global.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO, has a broad
program to crush what it calls conspiracy theories.
It has an international symposium on addressing conspiracy theories through education.
Now, do you believe that climate change is a sham?
Do you have viewpoints on COVID-19 or the vaccines that don't align with the official
government narratives?
Well, if so, you could be a target of this global program.
The United Nations is arguing that this so-called conspiratorial thinking is a threat to these
so-called human rights values.
You could be violating people's human rights just by thinking.
And it calls for a global joining action re-education program that brings together government, civil
society groups, academia, and the private sector on this.
It aligns with other programs as well.
In September 2020, for example, the World Economic Forum promoted a new UNESCO campaign
that aimed to, quote, help people identify, debunk, and report conspiracy theories to
prevent their spread.
It noted that UNESCO is working with the European Commission, Twitter, and the World Jewish
Congress on this campaign.
And that could also possibly give us some hints as to why Europe's censorship establishment
has been lashing out so strongly at Elon Musk for his purchase of Twitter and possibly breaking
part of that agenda.
Regardless, the program the World Economic Forum is referring to is this.
It's UNESCO's Think Before Sharing initiative.
It includes a quote from the organization's director general stating that conspiracy theories
cause real harm to people, to their health, and also to their physical safety.
They amplify and legitimize misconceptions about the pandemic and reinforce stereotypes
which can fuel violence and violent extremist ideologies.
Interesting.
So what violence are they actually talking about?
What are these so-called violent extremist ideologies?
What they're suggesting is that information is able to flow without censorship.
And if it does, it may become a type of terroristic threat.
That movement could grow and spread, and these could represent a type of extremism that threaten
all of us, whatever might they be referring to.
Which groups were suggesting that COVID-19 might have come from China, which is an example
they note, by the way.
Which groups were suggesting that elections might be rigged?
Which groups are opposing the military and social agendas of the prevailing powers?
Remember as well that some of these are also some of the main topics that are being censored
on social media.
And some of the main topics regarded as representing extremism, whether in Europe or the United
States.
Well, folks, that's it for YouTube for the rest of the episode.
Come join us on Epic TV.
We have some wild stuff to talk about.
Turns out one of the largest electric vehicle charging stations in the world is being fueled
by diesel generators.
We'll also be talking with Todd Bensman, who actually just was on a raid of a cartel stronghold
on US soil.
Some big stories.
And again, stick around for that.
Join us on Epic TV for it.
We have a lot of other great content, movies, documentaries, the rest of this episode.
And I will see you on Epic TV.
People from 160 countries illegally cross the US-Mexico border and get themselves up
to Border Patrol.
But what about the ones who evade Border Patrol?
These are known as the Gottaways.
You can safely assume that anybody that went through the extra effort to avoid US Border
Patrol was not an asylum seeker by default.
It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but somewhere down the road if somebody rapes
and kills somebody and we find out that they came through here on my watch, that's unacceptable.
These men had surrounded my house, they were banging on my back door, they were banging
on my front door.
I can't understand it unless you're out here seeing it every day.
21 dead bodies on the road.
Code 3 response.
Is it wrong to ask people to come to your front door of your home?
It's fine.
Then why would it be wrong to ask people to come to the front door of our nation?
Their primary goal is to circumvent the checkpoints, go undetected.
People that do not want to surrender, those are going to be the potential terrorists,
the criminals, the real threat to the US.
We were hoping the federal government would step in and do something, but they didn't.
We have no clue who they are or where they're going.
That's the scary part.
