In questo video andremo a scoprire che cosa sono e sopratutto a che cosa servono i crediti generativi che Adobe andrà ad introdurre dal 1 Novembre 2023 in Adobe Firefly, Photoshop e Illustrator.

Hi guys, welcome to this new video, I'm Marco Agustoni and today I'm here to give you, unfortunately, a not-so-nice news
a news that will make the various subscribers of Creative Cloud a little angry like me
a news that has to do with the various tools that Adobe has recently made available
that exploit, as we know, artificial intelligence to generate things within software such as Photoshop and Illustrator
Adobe, in fact, has recently stated that it will soon make available to us users of the so-called generative credits
which, in fact, will limit, on a monthly basis, the number of times in which we can exploit the various generative functions that I have already shown you in the last videos
but before explaining a little what these credits are, how they work and, above all, why Adobe has decided to introduce them
I would like to do a little re-epilogue, a little recap to explain to those who have not seen my latest content
what this innovative technology that Adobe has called Firefly is
and we will also quickly see what it is capable of doing
Obviously, guys, if you already know everything, go on to the next chapter since I have divided this video into several chapters
So, in the last few months, Adobe has introduced this technology called Firefly
which allows, first of all, through the website firefly.adobe.com
to use completely innovative tools that exploit artificial intelligence to, as you can see
go, for example, to generate images starting from a text description
to remove objects or add new ones in our photos
to automatically create text effects
and also to quickly recolor vector images
all always starting from a descriptive text, the so-called text prompt
some of these technologies have also been implemented in Photoshop
on all the new generative fill
and also in Illustrator where we have the generative recolor
which allows you to automatically recolor vector elements
so far we have, let's say, pleasantly tested these tools in a completely unlimited way
so without any kind of links or limits
but unfortunately Adobe has stated that from November 1st
the functions we have seen, which I have just told you about, will no longer be limited
and will therefore be linked to credits, tokens
that will no longer allow us to have the same freedom we enjoy today
on this page, which I also leave you below in the description
you have a re-epilogue and you have explained in detail
what they are and what these credits are for
you can read what I just told you
that from November 1st, limits will be applied to credits
which are currently unlimited
and here Adobe also explains why it has introduced these limitations
since the generation of content with artificial intelligence requires significant computing resources
we have updated our plans to include a monthly allocation of generative credits
so it is more than anything else a speech linked to the computing power
that Adobe needs to generate these resources
precisely through artificial intelligence
so it has fundamentally imposed limits
these credits, what are they?
we have said that they are tokens
that can be used on the various functions we showed you before
so the generative coloring, the illustrator
the text effects in Adobe Express
rather than the generative filling in Photoshop
when we use these functions, which are written here too
a credit will be downloaded
but be careful because in the future
here it is written that Adobe will also offer other services
with artificial intelligence
that can generate higher resolution images
animations, videos and 3D models
and for such functions it could be required
the use of a greater number of credits
so it could be that in the future
we will also have the possibility of generating three-dimensional models
and that Adobe, instead of asking for a credit, will ask for three, ok?
so then we'll see what happens
how many credits will we have?
then here it depends a bit on the subscription
from the subscription plan you have
then for all the applications as written here
so for the subscription that includes all the apps
you will have at your disposal a thousand credits
so I, for example, who have this subscription
I will have the possibility every month
to click ten times on the generative filling
to understand
who instead has a subscription linked to a single software
will have 500 credits
who has the photography plan will have 250 or 100
who has Lightroom 100, etc. etc.
so, I repeat, based on the subscription plan
you will have several credits
here you have the tables of the other plans
obviously even those who have the Adobe Stock subscription
will have credits
as for all the other plans
here it is explained to us that to go
to see how many credits we have available
you see, we should access our account
so it is specified that this person has 23 remaining credits
and another thing to say
is that the credits are not transferred
you see, the following month
so every first of the month
the old credits will die, let's say
and new ones will be generated
they will not be added, they will not be accumulable
if you have more subscriptions
you will also have more credits
what happens if you use all the generative credits?
this is very important
as far as users are concerned
of the Creative Cloud and Adobe Stock
they will still be able to continue
to use artificial intelligence
but the use could be slower
so if you finish the credits
you can still use the AI
but it will definitely take longer
so with the credits
you will basically have a preferential course
let's put it that way
here it is explained again
why Adobe uses generative credits
finally, I would like to focus on this section
where Adobe specifies
that from November 1st
it will even be possible to buy packages
of generative credits
in case we need them
so in addition to our dear and beloved subscription
if we need more credits
we will have to buy packages
starting from $4.99 per 100 credits
honestly, this is something
that I don't know how many will be interested
and I don't know if it will work
since we already have to pay a subscription
we just need to add more money
to buy credits
I don't know, we will see
how the users will respond
So, what do I think of these generative credits?
Honestly, I was a little stunned
when I read this news
not so much for the credits themselves
which are good
since other software
that use artificial intelligence
work with credits
so it's not so much for the credits
moreover, I was a little surprised
because Adobe has already introduced
in Photoshop, for example
a technology in the final version
which still, in my opinion, is not 100% ready
we have seen that to generate decent images
many attempts are required
many variants need to be generated
and when we will have credits available
we will certainly waste a lot
because not always at the first click
we will find and obtain the right image
for our needs
so I would have sincerely preferred
that this thing of credits
was introduced later
maybe, I don't know, next year
when the technology will be ready
definitively
So, I repeat, I was a little surprised
for this thing
However, I would also like to know
your opinion below in the comments
so let me know what you think
of these generative credits
