Milk is the best food for the health and development of all children.
After reading this sentence, my tongue is numb.
Well, you must have heard this sentence associated with most formula milk ads, right?
And it must be read as quickly as possible.
As I just read, how many times have you bitten your tongue?
But at least now we also have warnings that natural nutrients are the best.
Although the content of the ad is behind, I am quite sure that the ad is trying to say the opposite.
And in history, there has been a force that has done everything to make the whole world believe that
formula milk mixed with sugar is super super good.
Better than mother's milk 100 times.
Although that means deliberately giving children not enough nutrition.
I think that is the most barbaric act a person can do.
But for some people, that's not a problem at all.
As long as it helps us create the world's largest food empire.
Nothing if we focus on one of the most booming health scandals of the 20th century.
And I don't know if I will be killed for this video or not.
But I am a fan.
And this video is for Nestle.
Ok, how to convince people to believe in the most evil lies of all time?
Your weapon is scary advertising.
Normal consumers, I mean normal consumers.
No one has the time and knowledge to understand the products we buy.
They will catch others first.
Those who want to look cool will see what famous people use.
And those who care about health will see what doctors use.
And Nestle has realized this truth.
Too simple.
Want to convince people to believe that formula milk is better than mother's milk?
Then let the doctors tell the consumers that.
It all started with Nestle's media campaign in the 1970s.
Nothing complicated.
It's just that doctors should say that formula milk is good, mother's milk is not good.
Yes, you heard it right.
That's the most evil lie I've ever heard.
And do you know which one is more evil?
That is, they especially focus on poor countries,
which were underdeveloped at that time, mainly in Asia and Africa.
They even gave food to the hospital doctors,
for these poor doctors to test and give medical advice.
Remember that these samples must be large enough for parents to use them
as soon as they stop breastfeeding.
Nestle has taken advantage of the ignorance of people in poor countries.
What is more evil than when you tell these poor people
to use our product?
Extremely good for your child.
Although sometimes you don't know that you have to boil the water before breastfeeding.
And I don't care if your water source is polluted or not.
And the result is such rumors.
Nestle is said to be responsible for malnutrition
and the deaths of newborns and children in poor countries,
developing countries.
But of course, they are ready to step back.
Would you agree with me that your product should not be used
where there is impure water?
Yes or no?
We give all the instructions.
Do you feel that you have any responsibility?
We can't have that responsibility, sir.
Bruh.
It is one of the events that mark the history of mankind in the 20th century.
Nestle's special campaign
focuses on the relationship between human rights,
humanitarian activities, ethics, business responsibility
and market capitalism.
Consumers in developing countries have helped those
who are outside their communities.
Parents in developing countries.
However, Nestle has a more serious problem.
Whether the water is clean or not,
the combination of milk powder, sugar and vegetable oil
that they sell cannot replace breast milk.
Because it does not have the nutrients to boost the immune system.
It does not even have enough nutrients
for the baby to develop normally.
So in 1981,
the World Health Organization issued a regulation
prohibiting the comparison between breast milk
and breast milk replacement formula.
However, Nestle broke the law again
by focusing on more affluent markets.
And...
Like Southeast Asia, for example.
So in the US and Europe,
Nestle is number one in breast milk.
While in other markets,
they continue to bribe advertising doctors
to give free samples
and run campaigns in hospitals.
And until now,
they are still doing that.
But the devil hasn't stopped here.
Humans can survive for many weeks without food.
But they can only survive
from 2 to 4 days without this.
So why don't we
do business with water to make money?
Everyone knows that water is deep in the sea.
It's as cheap as an elephant's skin.
But it's still water.
You put it in a bottle and advertise
natural minerals from these mountains,
I'm sure it costs 40 dollars.
And little does anyone know that
Nestle is the world's largest bottle maker.
And don't say it's just a suspicion.
Because Nestle has faced
a lot of cases on this issue.
But like the story of the milk mafia,
Nestle is still cheap in the US.
And in developing countries,
well, you know what happened.
Recently, I made a video
about the homeless in Pakistan.
It's also in this poor country.
In 2013,
it was discovered that Nestle had stolen clean water
from millions of people in Pakistan,
bottled it up and sold it
to those who were robbed.
After the milk mafia,
the water mafia,
we have this.
Have you tried it?
Where do these chocolates come from?
Chocolate is a product
mainly made from cacao trees,
grown mainly in areas such as West Africa,
Asia and Latin America.
The two West African countries,
including Ghana and the Russian coast,
are the main sources,
accounting for more than 70% of the world's cacao production.
Cacao is harvested in farms in these two countries.
Most of it is sold to large chocolate companies
around the world, such as,
guess what, Nestle.
The problem is that cacao is not cheap,
so the owners
use the children's labor
so that the price of cacao
can be cheaper.
Most children in West Africa are poor.
Due to the difficult situation,
plus the promise to pay high wages
to the homeless,
many children have been deceived
to work at cacao farms in remote areas.
Homeless people often kidnap children
from villages in African countries
such as Burkina Faso or Mali,
two of the poorest countries in the world.
It is very difficult for children
to go to cacao farms
to meet their families.
According to estimates,
there are more than 2 million child labor
in cacao farms,
most of them are between 12 and 16 years old.
However, recently,
some research papers have found
that not a few children
have to start working
from the age of 5.
You have to use a machine
to light a forest tree,
the result is more than 45 kg of cacao
from the forest.
Then each child has to remove the skin
with a knife to get the seeds.
The body of the children has scars
mostly in the arms, legs or shoulders.
Every year, the chocolate industry
earns about 100 billion dollars.
But in 18 years,
they have spent 148 million dollars
to solve the problem of child labor.
So be careful,
the candy we eat
can be made from cacao blood
Let me tell you the last story.
In the same year in Africa,
Ethiopia is one of the poorest countries in the world.
In 2002,
this country experienced
one of the most terrible famine
in human history.
But what does it have to do with Nestle?
In 1986, Nestle bought
the parent company of a German company.
The problem is that in the 1970s,
it was subsidized by the Ethiopian government.
It means that the Ethiopian government
owes Nestle money, right?
They offered to compensate the company
1.5 million dollars based on the price
at the time of nationalization.
However, Nestle said
it had to use the price of 2022.
And boom!
The debt has increased to 6 million dollars.
The incident was revealed
when the Orsfarm organization pointed out
that a company like Nestle,
6 million dollars is just a glove.
But that 6 million dollars can provide clean water
for 1.5 million families
or treatment for 750,000 children.
And especially in that year,
Nestle lost 3.9 billion dollars.
But instead of considering
the ethics and social responsibility
of the business,
Nestle kept asking for debt.
The country was experiencing
the worst famine.
In the end, Nestle had to give up.
But the bad words from the past
were enough to turn them into
the most hated company in the world.
Nestle is still the world's largest
food producer.
I guess.
And Nestle is also quite good
at hiding the dark past.
Maybe you don't notice the name Nestle
these days,
but there must be a brand related to them
in your house.
There are names that you don't even know
because Nestle has up to 2,000 brands.
You are running away.
But after watching this video,
you will understand that
there is no empire that is not built
from the blood of slaves.
