Six hours in the stable and in fact, Dino has grown three centimetres.
Yes, your new horse!
Is that our excursion ticket?
Hello and welcome to a new video.
For us, the stable parking lot is full today.
And that can only mean one thing, because the horse scale comes to us at the stable.
And the horses were once weighed and measured.
And I'm really, really, really looking forward to Tino.
I already had him measured and weighed last year.
And yes, I want to know if he has grown, if he has gained weight.
And because the weather is really good, we are going to take a big excursion afterwards.
Three of us, and if everyone comes along, you'll see that in a moment.
And look who's ready here.
There is Moody and Athos with their beautiful new half.
And you are the next ones for the scale.
Are all the horses ready?
What do you think, Maus?
He has gained weight.
Yes?
Yes.
How many kilos did he have last time?
502.
And now he has?
I think 520.
And the size?
1.62, if we have iron again now.
You are not too weak.
The top Tibet is valid.
And then it went straight to the horse scale for Athos.
We have now organized it in such a way that it really comes once a year at about the same time.
And then you can really compare all the measures wonderfully with each other.
It is also important, above all, if you have to give medication so that you know how heavy it is on the horse.
And for yourself, the scale is also interesting.
And how does the situation look?
Completely underestimated in terms of weight.
Actually, I thought he had gained weight because he just has so little movement and can only eat.
But he just lost 7 kilos.
Muscles.
Yes, all the muscles are gone.
Muscles are fat.
Ah, muscles are ...
Muscles are fat.
Muscles are heavier than fat.
And I think I'm going to get a tin here now.
Yes, good day, good day, yes, peeps.
Hello Mausi.
And I deliberately did not register in the Pilgrim for today.
I have always been there for the last 5 years and for the last 3 years, the stock size and weight have always remained the same.
And that's why I thought I'd just set it off for a year and then measure it again in, I don't know, next year, the year after next.
I just found the weight certificate of the last few years.
Please take a look, that was just 2018.
159 and 538 kilos.
There was really such a little breath of fresh air.
And then we have 2019 here.
In fact, nothing has changed in terms of size or weight, but he actually only had his biggest jump at the age of 7 years.
He grew up properly there and also gained a lot of weight.
And since then the whole thing has remained pretty much the same.
But as I said, Tino, who is still growing, is definitely interesting.
As I said, I always let Pilgrim do it for the last 5 years.
And we started when I got the Pilgrim at 159.
He was so small.
And at the last weight test, he was always measured at 163.
And Tino, it's getting exciting for you.
I estimated that Tino had grown 2 cm and remained the same in terms of weight.
However, I misjudged myself properly, because he lost almost 40 kilos.
That really scared me a bit.
I also spoke directly afterwards with our stable owner.
And she has increased her hay quantities properly again.
I think that's just the most effective way when horses are supposed to gain weight again.
I don't think it's a good idea not to increase the hay ratio and instead just put a lot of power food in the horse.
Tino weighs just under 540 kilos and last year it was just under 580 kilos.
At first he was a bit scared of the scale, but the lady took the time to show it to him in peace.
And in fact, Tino has even grown 3 cm and now has a proud weight of 165 kilos.
I just dug out Pilgrim's old horseshoes.
I don't think I need to mention that they haven't been in use for a while now.
They already have a bit of spiderwebs on them.
And on the last trip with Pilgrim, unfortunately one of the horseshoes broke.
Now I have to do a bit of mix and match because I found old horseshoes from here.
And I want to try if they fit Tino.
But as I said in the last video, I have to order horseshoes for Tino.
And I actually did it.
I ordered two pairs of new horseshoes for Pilgrim and Tino.
Looking for the right horseshoe is a bit of a hassle.
But I like to give you an experience report when the new horseshoes are there.
This time I ordered scootboots because so many friends and acquaintances of mine really love them.
Long story short, I'll see if they fit Tino.
If so, Tino will come with me on the trip.
If they don't fit, I'll take Pilgrim with me.
He's not quite as sensitive to horseshoes.
So, I'm going to test if any of them fit.
Okay, this one fits him in the front.
Unfortunately, it's too big in the back because Tino has a much narrower hoof.
And these would also fit him in the front.
But that means I have four horseshoes for two hooves in the front and a few for the back.
And then Tino comes with me on the trip.
And I told you there was a special guest coming today.
It's Moni with Atos.
My new horse.
Yes, your new horse.
You, introduce yourself. Who did you buy?
This is Gelse.
What, Gelse? Hello, Gelse.
No, this is Mucki.
And Conny is so nice and is going to ride with me today.
And I'm really looking forward to it.
It's our first ride.
We're going to ride a big lap.
But Mucki is a totally reliable horse.
Mucki is a little faster than Atos.
And I can hardly believe it, but I'm finally about to install horsehoes in Tino's saddle.
I bought the Sprenger Bow Balance again.
I love them and now I'm going to install the new horsehoes in Tino's saddle.
And then I don't have to rebuild them all the time.
That was really, really annoying.
We're on our way.
We're just walking the first few meters back from the stable.
I'm going to turn on the tail light with Tino again.
He's also taking a very slow step.
I always had to catch up a little bit.
But I think it will definitely get better over time.
We have such pleasant weather.
No, we're not snacking yet.
It's really good.
And yes, we really have a bigger lap today than we planned last time.
And also with a little bit of gallop.
And hello.
Hello.
Of course, Imona is also there again.
Now the leading horse is being followed by the two big brown ones behind you.
And by the way, that's our destination.
So we're going to go over here, then over the mountain and then back to the stable.
So, and the two of them are now trying to get Imona up again.
That works.
Wow, Imona, awesome.
Yes, perfect.
Yes, nice.
Perfect.
Moni, how was it?
So good.
It's so good.
You don't get tired at all.
And you, my dear, you are the very best anyway.
Super.
Hello.
Wow, it's so beautiful here.
And now they're standing there.
All finished.
All finished?
But the other one is still there.
Yes, the other one is still there.
Yes.
But the view here is just a dream every time.
And now we have to somehow take a picture together, but as you can see, there is nobody here.
So, and we just got off.
The horses ...
No, Tino, not yet.
The horses sweat and suffocate properly after the gallop route up here, but it's so beautiful
here in the forest.
Maus, what is your conclusion to the rain, Maus?
Yes, it's amazing, it's so hot.
The gallop route was also constantly uphill, but that was important to me for the first time galloping that it doesn't go straight for a long time.
But if it's just a little uphill, it's just a little more exhausting for the horses and then they don't like to bend that much.
But Tino just showed his best side today and I'm looking forward to a lot of challenges with this sweet man.
My soul
I feel love for you that's out of control
Sometimes I feel like I can make you whole
I just can't change my emotions
There isn't anything I wouldn't do
To prove that everything I say is true
And if you love me, I'll keep loving you
I just can't change my emotions
As you can see, we have arrived in the stable again.
I think we've been walking back for the last half an hour now.
And I'm taking Tino out of the stable again and I'm so glad that they did so well this time.
After every gallop, I panicked a bit and checked if everything was still there.
I'm just so, so, so happy.
I don't know when I've been so relaxed with a horse the last time.
Because Tino is a madness in the terrain.
So unscathed, so cool and so relaxed.
I just couldn't do that anymore.
Because the Pyramid is unfortunately just a little scared rabbit in the terrain.
And it gets tense and tight very quickly.
And that was such a nice feeling today in the gallop.
He made himself so relaxed, let himself fall and galloped so nicely forward.
So I'm just incredibly happy right now.
And I'm just happy that Tino is such a good horse.
In the meantime, I have also prepared the food.
Tino is currently getting a lot of supplements.
Because his blood pressure comes out, there are a few important trace elements missing.
Then just a little bit of lucerne and muesli.
Otherwise he won't eat this extremely herb-rich supplement food.
And Pilgrim's food looks a bit simpler.
These are just hay cups and his muscle strength alporial supplement.
And please have a look, Mona has still baked a cake and took it with her.
They call it crumble cake.
Thank you very much.
And there's a drink for that.
Moni is also already busy at the Mammut outside.
And while Tino is already eating his food outside,
I'm going to set up some more things in the hall.
I want to do some more floor work with Pilgrim.
And I think I'll just put up a few poles and bags for that.
We started with the Spanish step.
Sometimes there's a bit of leg chaos in there.
Our focus right now is that Pilgrim learns to get up in time with his hind legs correctly.
So that it's easier for him, I only practice it on one side.
And then I only add both sides for a few steps.
But you see, we really have to practice that well so that the Spanish step is really nice and fluid.
In between, I built in some free leg and added the slalom caps.
I don't do a lot of free work with Pilgrim right now,
because we really had to work on the basics of floor work again in the last few months.
Here he almost ran over me once.
Because we simply lacked the drive to move forward.
And because of that, there was simply no fineness anymore.
Pilgrim also made himself extremely firm and tense.
But with the help of a floor work trainer, we definitely got it under control again.
And of course, you shouldn't forget about the buttocks.
A great exercise for balance is when the horses stand with their legs left and right next to a pole.
This often causes a lot of leg chaos and is so much more difficult than it looks.
We just made it so that Pilgrim really just stands there.
But of course you can also go forward and backward in it.
Here we have now built in an exercise from the Working Equitation.
The side pass should of course work best without the horse touching the pole.
However, I find it extremely important that you don't put too much pressure on the horses here.
Because in this sequence you can see how fast it goes that the horses slip stupidly.
Don't ask me what Pilgrim showed here for an exercise.
He was a bit too over-motivated for the shoulder hold.
But he put a lot of weight on his back.
Here I asked the shoulder hold correctly again.
You have to make sure that Pilgrim doesn't just push back with his forehand, but really puts the weight on his back.
One of my favorite exercises in the Working Equitation is definitely the Slalom.
In the step, it's still pretty easy-cheesy.
In the step, it's just always a challenge, as you can see here.
And so that the whole thing doesn't look as wild as it does here,
I parried the Pilgrim in the middle of the step,
so that we can really bring in some calm and create this fast turn.
For example, you can also put the hats further apart.
Then it's much easier for the horse to fall.
But I wanted to take it as a task to really make this distance in the step.
And of course we did.
Finally, I wanted to catch up on the climbing.
But I think Pilgrim was just too confused by all the exercises we did before.
Now that was a bit of a mess.
Therefore, at the end, just ask again, so that he really connects his earthman with the right exercise.
So, whoops. Now I almost wanted to go home without having filmed an outro.
Somehow, I think, a little time has passed since the last scene.
Pilgrim is of course back in the stable.
Sineki has just brought Athos back.
I just showed you, while I was still doing some groundwork with Pilgrim in the hall,
I still launched Athos, did a little handwork.
He is currently in rehab.
And he's been able to ride it for the first time in a few days.
And it's going really, really well.
And I'm looking forward to seeing Athos riding again.
And I definitely hope you enjoyed the stable day.
I don't even want to look at the clock, how long I've been there.
From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
And when was I in the stable? Just before 10 p.m.
Wow, six hours in the stable.
Successfully beaten around.
Time-eating stable again.
And then I wish you a wonderful day and see you next time.
Bye and Servus.
