During the time of Ngu Ho Thap Luc Quoc,
there was a monk who made the three emperors find a way to have him as a concubine.
In it, there were two wars that broke out just to steal him back.
After his death, he was even praised by the emperor Thái Tông as a peer disciple.
Who is he? What extraordinary ability has created such a great shock?
Which monk made the emperor send 70,000 troops to another country to steal him back?
That monk was Kuma La Thap,
the only one in the world after the disintegration,
who had a tongue.
His father was Ngu Ma La Vim,
a descendant of the Kuma family,
but he wanted to become a monk.
His mother was Princess Nước Quy Từ.
Since he was still in his mother's womb,
Kuma La Thap was predicted to be a wonderful intellectual.
He was smart since he was a child,
and had the ability to see past and not forget.
At the age of 7, La Thap began to study Buddhism at flying speed.
He could read 1,000 stories in a day,
that is, he could memorize 32,000 words a day.
It only took him 2 days to memorize 60,000 words in French.
Moreover, he only needed to study with all his heart,
to understand the meaning without the teacher's instruction.
At the age of 9, La Thap's mother took him to many countries
to learn more about Buddhism.
In the deep mountains, they saw a lot of sceneries
and met a lot of wonderful people.
At the Bắc Sơn Mountain in Nguyệt Chi,
the mother and son met a Là Hán.
Là Hán looked at La Thap and said to the princess,
Please take good care of this little boy.
If this little boy does not become a monk at the age of 35,
he will become a great monk in France.
If he becomes a monk, he will not achieve such a great achievement,
but he can become a Frenchman with some achievements.
The fate of La Thap's mother
When La Thap was 20 years old,
the princess brought La Thap back to her hometown,
told him to stay there,
then she went to Thien Truc to practice.
Before leaving, the princess said,
In the future, Buddhism will be passed on to the East,
and you can play a big role.
So you have to stay.
It's just that you may have to suffer a little.
Can you accept it?
La Thap said,
A monk may forget himself because of others,
just pray to Buddhism,
even if he is burned,
even if he is suffering, he does not resent it.
Time passed,
La Thap lived for 20 years in Quy Tu.
He didn't just practice Buddhism,
36 schools,
72 religions were all defeated by him.
He also embraced everything about heaven,
geography,
Yin and Yang,
sleeping,
praying,
kissing,
farming,
nothing is not proper.
King Quy Tu made a golden lion chair for him to sit on when he preached the Dharma.
The kings of other Western countries also often invited him to preach the Dharma.
Wherever he went, people praised him for his beautiful appearance and extraordinary style.
His fame spread far and wide.
Finally, it was in the hands of Emperor Vũ Kiên, the ruler of Tiền Tầng.
One day, Không Thiên Dám told the emperor that
the gods had observed the heaven and concluded that a great wise man would come to help the Central Plains.
The emperor was delighted to hear that and immediately thought of Kuma Là Thập.
He immediately sent General Quân Lã Quang to Western countries to invite Là Thập to be a military counselor.
The challenge began.
When General Quân Lã Quang and 70,000 soldiers set out, Là Thập could feel it.
He told King Quy Tu that a large army from the Central Plains would come in a few days.
He told Là Thập not to fight them head-on, but to open the gate to greet them.
Perhaps because of his unyielding courage,
Là Thập did not tell the king that his army was coming to steal him.
However, the emperor did not listen.
The Central Plains' cavalry was very strong.
Lã Quang won the battle and led his army into the city to find Là Thập.
But Là Quang did not like Là Thập and always wanted to tease him.
Là Quang said he would bring the princess to him, but he did not agree.
He gave Là Thập and the princess drunk wine and locked them in a secret room.
Là Thập remembered what his mother said and came to the Central Plains with Là Quang.
On the way, Là Quang gave him a cow kiss.
Sometimes he was given a horse kiss.
Looking at him being dragged down the ground by the horse, everyone laughed.
But Là Thập endured all this without a word.
One day, they walked down a mountain to rest.
Là Thập told Là Quang not to stay for long.
Let's quickly find a quiet place to camp.
Là Quang did not listen.
As a result, it rained heavily for half a night.
The flood came and thousands of soldiers were swept away.
Since then, Là Quang has changed his attitude towards Là Thập.
On the way, the emperor Phù Kiên was killed by Diêu Trường.
The front was destroyed.
Là Quang did not return.
Lập Quốc was in Luân Châu.
Là Thập also lived in Luân Châu for 17 years.
Là Quang and his son treated Là Thập very well.
But they did not give him a chance to visit Phật Pháp.
Là Thập did not waste time,
but spent all his mind on learning Korean,
reading ancient books and studying the classics of many different schools of thought.
After the emperor Diêu Trường died,
his son Diêu Hưng succeeded him.
Diêu Hưng loved Phật Pháp,
so he sent people to Luân Châu to welcome Là Thập.
However, Là Quang did not let him go.
Diêu Hưng led his army to destroy Hậu Lương,
and brought Là Thập back.
Diêu Hưng appointed Là Thập as a military counselor,
and asked him to translate the Buddhist scriptures.
The emperor built two art buildings,
and found more than 800 monks to help him.
In just 12 years,
he translated more than 300 scriptures.
The Buddhist scriptures he translated were not only many,
but also accurate in meaning and easy to understand and read.
But some people still doubt whether their translation is accurate,
because they do not understand the translation.
Before passing away,
Là Thập said to those around him,
I hope that the scriptures I have translated
will be passed down and passed on to future generations.
Now, before everyone,
I would like to make a wish.
Translation is correct.
If I translate the Buddhist scriptures correctly,
I hope that after my body is gone,
my tongue will be intact.
After he translated,
everything was burned to ashes when it was destroyed.
But his tongue was still intact.
The tongue was then kept in Thảo Đường Pagoda,
Thiệm Tây Province.
At the time of Nhà Đường,
Emperor Đường Thái Tông
also wrote a memorial for the tongue.
In it, he wrote,
10,000,000 high ranges
3,000 disciples with Vietnamese scriptures
The golden words of Tiếng Ngọc are
Unlucky, the tongue like a flower still smells good.
Speaking of these 3,000 disciples,
Đường Thái Tông is truly unparalleled.
In addition to being a translator,
La Thập was also a military counselor.
He often taught French.
From the Emperor Dương Hưng
to the Great Monarchs and commoners,
everyone admired him.
One time,
La Thập's master came to visit him from Quy Tử.
He asked how many disciples he had instructed.
La Thập said,
I have 3,000 disciples.
I am only responsible for teaching them.
But I don't dare to be their master
because I have a lot of sins.
The master felt strange.
How could La Thập make such a serious mistake?
La Thập immediately told him about his two wrongdoings.
It turned out that the Emperor Dương Hưng
adored La Thập so much
that he firmly asked him to leave the Monarchs.
First, he chose 2 women.
Then, he chose 10 American women.
La Thập did not strongly oppose,
but only silently accepted.
He left the room
and lived the life of an ordinary person.
800 Monarchs did the translation job.
They also asked for their wives and children.
During the meal that day,
everyone entered the dining room
and saw that there was no food on the table.
There was only a bag of dried gold.
La Thập said,
Let's eat.
Then he took a needle and swallowed it.
Everyone was silent.
At this time, La Thập said to everyone,
If you can swallow this bag of gold,
you can get married and have children.
The Monarchs looked at each other.
Since then, no one has dared to mention it again.
Later, when La Thập told the story,
The lotus flowers can grow from the soil.
Everyone just needs to pick the lotus flowers.
Don't dive into the soil.
He meant that he compared himself to the soil
and compared Buddhism to lotus flowers.
Everyone should only learn Buddhism.
Don't use him as a mirror.
Because he is a human being.
There are shortcomings of a human being.
So don't learn from his shortcomings.
His sincere attitude and self-criticism
may be the reason why La Thập Kumala
is still respected as a lost master
even though he broke the rules twice.
