雁荡山，位于中国浙江省乐清市境内。因主峰雁湖岗上有着结满芦苇的湖荡，年年南飞的秋雁栖宿于此，因而得名“雁荡山”。雁荡山方圆450平方公里，分灵峰、灵岩、大龙湫、三折瀑、雁湖、显胜门、羊角洞、仙桥八大景区，有500多处景点。景区内峡深谷幽，峰奇崖险，秀中有险峻，奇中有幽奥。素以独特的奇峰怪石、飞瀑流泉、古洞畸穴、雄蟑胜门和凝翠碧潭扬名海内外，被誉为“海上名山、寰中绝胜”，史称“东南第一山”。
雁荡山地势峥嵘，形态万千，景色丰富。峰、嶂、柱、墩、岩、洞等一应俱全、奇峰百二，怪石三十，名洞二八，门阙二十，以奇特的形态及巧妙的组合，构成变幻无穷，气势逼人，妙趣横生的景色。并移步换形，昼夜相异，日景耐看，夜景销魂，给人以强烈的美感和灵感。其水体丰富，动静皆绝，瀑、泉、溪、涧、河、湖等无所不包，可谓极尽雄、奇、险、秀、幽、旷等形象之美，而且植被原始，空气清新，泉水甘甜、气候温和；古刹罗列，钟声不绝，香烟缭绕，文物众多，摩崖醒目，恰如一桌满汉全席摆在眼前，叫人不知何处下箸，连三顾雁荡山的明代旅行家徐霞客也掷笔而叹：“欲穷雁荡之胜，非飞仙不能”。真可谓观一山如历海内名山一日间。
