Which means even if you're on a weight loss journey, you can eat these dishes easily.
And thirdly, even though you're a vegetarian, all these dishes are protein rich.
You know how important it is to include protein in your diet.
And even though we know this, we can't do anything about it.
So the dishes that I'm going to show you today will make your regular food protein rich.
Which means with a little twist, you can make your regular breakfast healthier, tastier and protein rich.
So if you want to follow a healthy lifestyle with healthy and interesting recipes without any compromise like me,
then these recipes are going to be very useful for you in today's video.
So guys, our first recipe for today is inspired by omelette.
But if you're a vegetarian or you want to try something different, then you can make moonglet.
Come, let's see how to make it.
So to make moonglet, first we have to soak moong dal in water for 4-5 hours.
If you want, you can soak it in lukewarm water for 1 hour.
Now we have to put this soaked moong dal in a blender jar and make a paste out of it.
The thickness of the paste will be exactly the same as that of idli batter.
So this is the thickness which we are looking for.
Now let's put this in a mixing bowl.
Now we'll add some spices to this.
Salt.
Turmeric.
And now stir it.
Looks good.
Now we'll add vegetables to this.
Like chopped onion.
Chopped tomato.
Chopped capsicum and carrot.
Coriander leaves.
Green chillies.
And now mix all of these.
Mix it well.
And now I'm adding 1 tsp eno salt to this along with a little asafoetida.
We have to add eno salt just before cooking.
And we'll stir it a little and you'll notice that your batter is frothy.
Now we'll put a pan on the stove.
I'm taking 1 tsp oil.
I'm using mustard oil.
We'll coat the pan with oil so that our batter doesn't stick.
Now we have to put the moong dal batter in the pan.
And now we have to gently press it.
The layer of the batter will be a little thick so you don't have to press it to make it thin.
Okay we are good.
Now let's cover and simmer it for 2 minutes until the base is cooked.
After 2 minutes, we'll flip it and gently press it.
The bottom layer is cooked well.
Now with the help of a fork, we'll make some holes in it so that it doesn't remain raw from the inside.
In just 2 minutes, it will be cooked from both the sides.
Now with the help of a knife or a cutter, you'll divide it into 4 parts.
And in the center of these slits, we'll add a little butter.
Our moong dal is absolutely ready to be served.
And remember that it tastes best when served hot.
You can have it with mint chutney or tamarind chutney.
And trust me, it's a very good, very healthy nutritious breakfast option.
The moong dal that we have made is sufficient for 2 people.
And one serving contains 250 calories.
Out of which, 30 gms carbs, 14 gms protein and 6 gms of fat.
There are other nutrients like calcium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C along with fiber.
And now let's move on to the next breakfast recipe.
You must have eaten poha.
But what if I turn that poha into protein rice?
Let's make pav poha.
So guys, to make today's special pavar poha, I'm taking 1 bowl of raw poha.
Which I'll wash with the help of flowing water.
I'll wash it with the help of a strainer.
And now I'm tapping it so that the poha doesn't get overcooked.
After washing it well, I'll wash it with 1 cup of clean water.
And gently press it so that all the extra water comes out.
Now transfer this poha to a bowl.
So this raw poha is ready.
Now we'll keep a pan on the stove in which I'm taking 1 tsp of mustard oil.
I'm adding some cumin seeds and mustard seeds to it.
Now we'll cook these 2 things a little.
As soon as the cumin seeds and mustard seeds start spluttering, we'll add chopped green chillies to it.
Along with it, we'll add curry leaves.
And now we'll cook it a little again.
Now let's add some chopped onion.
We'll cook it on a slow to medium flame till the onion turns golden brown.
And after that, we'll add chopped tomatoes to it.
Now we'll cook it a little again.
And after that, I'm adding 1 bowl of white chickpeas to it.
I've soaked it and boiled it.
So you have to do this work beforehand.
One more tip, if you're making white chickpeas someday, make a little extra beforehand.
So that you can use it in power poha the next day.
Alright, so I'm adding 1 bowl of boiled chickpeas to the pan.
After mixing it a little, we'll add spices to it.
So I'm adding salt, turmeric.
I'm adding 1 spoon of water to it so that the spices don't burn and cook well.
We'll cook it for a while and then we'll add the soaked poha to it.
Here goes the poha.
After mixing it well, we'll add chopped coriander and fresh lemon juice to it.
Now give it a mix once again and our poha is ready to be served.
Guys, as you know, poha is one of the most liked breakfast.
And in different corners of our country, poha is made in different ways.
And the power poha that we've made today, it has good carbs as well as good protein.
And no doubt, it's so delicious.
One serving has 200 calories, 4.2 grams protein, 35 grams carbs and 4.8 grams of fat.
So that was another amazing recipe, power poha and I really want you to give it a try.
I've been hearing since my childhood that sprouts are very healthy and you should eat them.
Sprouts have a lot of protein but there's a problem between me and sprouts.
I don't like sprouts at all.
But recently I've discovered a very new recipe which is made using sprouts but it's not sprouts.
I'm talking about sprouts appe. Let's see how to make it.
So guys, before we jump on to the recipe, first soak half a bowl of urad dal in lukewarm water.
We have to soak it for half an hour.
And now we'll take 2 cups of moong dal sprouts.
You can easily make sprouts at home as well.
After soaking it overnight and keeping it in a dark muslin cloth for 2 days, moong dal sprouts are ready.
So here are my moong dal sprouts which I'm blending in a blender jar.
We have to make a coarse mixture of it.
We don't have to blend it finely.
So like this our sprouts' coarse mixture is ready which I'm transferring to a bowl.
If you want you can make it like a fine paste but I suggest you to go with this texture.
Now we'll put the soaked urad dal in the blender.
And make sure that the water is not too much because you can always add water later if required.
Along with this, we'll add 2 garlic cloves and 1 tsp green chilli and blend these 3 ingredients together.
We have to make a proper paste of it.
Now we have to add this urad dal paste in the sprout paste.
In this mixture, we'll add a little salt as per your taste.
And with this, a little asafoetida.
Mix both the ingredients well.
And finally, we'll add chopped coriander on top of it.
Along with this, our batter is ready and now we have to prepare the appe pan.
For this, I'm greasing all the moulds with oil.
After you grease all the moulds, we'll fill the batter in each mould with the help of a spoon.
Appe are not raised like idli or dhokla.
So if you want, you can fill them completely.
Now let's just cover it and cook it on a medium flame for another 2-3 minutes.
After 2 minutes, open it and turn all the appe so that they get cooked from both the sides.
We have to cook it from this side for another 2-3 minutes and then we have to take them out in a plate.
With this, our sprouts appe is ready.
One serving of sprouts appe or 8 pieces of appe gives you 140 calories, 8 grams protein, 20 grams carbs and 3.2 grams fat.
So guys, our next unique recipe is P4.
But before that, I want to tell you that all the dishes that I'm showing you are given in the diet plans of our Transformation Program.
So if you also want to achieve your fitness goals like weight loss and weight gain while eating such delicious food,
then you can enroll in I Am Wow.
Along with this, let's move on to the next dish.
Who doesn't like eating parathas for breakfast?
But if you want to enrich this paratha with protein, then you can eat paneer paratha.
But if you want to add more protein, more nutrition, then you can eat P4 paratha.
That is Paneer Peas Protein Rich Paratha.
To make paratha, first of all we will prepare the dough for which I am using whole wheat flour.
If you want, you can also use multigrain flour.
So with the help of water, we will prepare our dough with light hands.
So our dough is ready and now we will cover it and keep it aside for a while.
Till then we will prepare our stuffing.
To prepare the stuffing, first we will take 1 tsp oil in a pan.
We will add some coriander powder and freshly grated ginger to it.
Now I am adding half a bowl of peas to it which I have washed well and soaked for a while.
If you want, you can also slightly boil the peas and add it to it.
Now we will roast it a little and after that we will add salt and red chilli powder to it.
Now cover the lid so that the peas become a little soft.
Now after a minute, you can open the pan again.
The peas are cooked, roasted and soft.
With the help of a ladle, you will mash the peas a little.
We don't have to mash it properly, we just want slightly mashed peas.
So once done, we will add crushed fresh paneer to it.
And if you want, you can also add some green chillies to it.
We will mix all these things well with which our stuffing for paratha is ready.
In this paratha, you will get the taste and flavour of peas, paneer and ginger.
Take this mixture out in a plate and keep it aside so that it cools down quickly.
With this, our dough is also ready and now we will start rolling it for paratha.
First, we will keep it a little thick and add our stuffing to it.
I always like my paratha filled with good amount of stuffing.
So I make sure that there is no shortage of stuffing.
And now we will pack it properly.
Apply some dry flour on it and roll it with light hands.
While rolling the paratha, don't keep your hands too tight and don't apply too much force.
Always roll the paratha with light hands.
Now because we have added the stuffing properly, it is also overflowing from the sides which is absolutely fine.
Now we will keep it on the hot griddle.
We will cook it on medium flame and after some time, we will flip it.
If you want, you can apply some oil on it.
I personally prefer to cook paratha without oil and I will suggest you the same.
I always prefer to add ghee or butter after the paratha is served.
Our paratha is cooked well from both the sides.
If you want, you can divide it into two parts.
And with this, our steaming hot paratha is ready.
This one paratha has approximately 180 calories, 6.9 grams protein, 21.9 grams carbohydrates and 7.3 grams fat.
Alright, so let's move on to today's next protein rich breakfast.
Nowadays, quinoa is in trend.
Earlier, people used to avoid it or used to be a little hesitant.
They used to say that it is not easily available or it is a little expensive.
But now I am noticing that people's mindset is changing.
Instead of wasting money on junk food, they understand the benefit of investing money on such healthy dishes and options.
So that's why I want to share this recipe with you today, which is vegetable quinoa cutlets.
But if you don't have quinoa, you can make the same recipe with porridge or oats.
To make quinoa cutlets, first of all, we will take quinoa which I have boiled and strained.
Now on the other side, we will take 1 spoon of oil in a pan.
I am using mustard oil.
And now I am adding chopped onion to it, which I am stir-frying a little.
After the onion is cooked a little, we will add the remaining vegetables to it.
Like chopped carrots, beans, capsicum and we will cook all these vegetables together.
Till the time these vegetables are cooking, I am roughly blending the boiled corn in the mixer.
And now we will add this corn to the pan along with these vegetables.
And we will cook all these things together for a while.
Okay, so our vegetables are cooked and now I am adding quinoa to a mixing bowl while it is boiling.
And all the stir-fried vegetables in it.
After this, we will add spices to it.
Like salt, red chili powder, carom seeds.
And now we will add gram flour to it.
We have to mix all these things well with the help of our hands.
If you feel that your mixture is very moist, then you can add more gram flour to it.
Just make sure that the mixture is not too moist.
Otherwise, our cutlets will not be able to be made properly.
Now we have to mash all these things together.
Again, you don't have to make any paste.
You just have to mash all this together.
So when all the things are mixed well, you can give them the shape of a patty with your hands.
You can make bigger or smaller patties as per your own choice.
And now we will put a pan on the gas to coat it with oil.
After this, we have to place all the quinoa patties on the pan.
Be very gentle, otherwise it might break.
And now we have to cook it on a slow to medium flame for a while.
Now to garnish these cutlets, you can add coriander on top of it.
After this, with the help of a brush, we will apply a little oil on the surface.
So as you can see, we are not using a lot of oil.
We will add as much as is required.
So once you notice that the cutlets are cooked from one side, it's time to flip them over.
Flip all the cutlets very gently and cook well from the other side as well.
And once they are cooked, our quinoa cutlets are ready to be served.
You can have these cutlets for breakfast or as a snack with tea.
These are very delicious and very filling.
For one person, 3 cutlets will be enough.
So one serving means 3 cutlets will have approximately 230 calories,
33 grams carbs, 9 grams fat and 12 grams of protein.
Alright, so let's move on to the next breakfast recipe.
Everyone has eaten besan cheela.
Let's add a little more protein to it and make paneer stuffed besan cheela.
Let's go!
So first of all, in a bowl, we will take besan.
We will add a little salt, turmeric and red chilli powder to it.
Now we will slowly add water to it and mix it together.
Make sure that the mixture is not too flowy.
And lastly, we will add a little lemon juice to it and give it a mix one more time.
And the besan mixture is ready.
Now we will take a little oil in a pan.
We will add chopped onions to it and cook it a little.
Now let's add some vegetables like carrots, beans, capsicum.
And we will cook it a little again.
When the vegetables are cooked a little, we will add tomatoes,
chopped green chillies and grated ginger.
Now give them a mix.
And now we have to add spices to it.
Salt, pinch of pepper, a little coriander powder and mix them.
Now let's add fresh grated paneer in the pan and mix them all together.
Now we will add chopped coriander to it.
We will mix everything well and with this our cheela stuffing is ready.
Now we will take a pan or tawa on the gas,
grease it with oil and add our besan mixture to it.
With the help of a ladle, spread it and give it a round shape.
It should have a medium thickness, not too thick and not too thin.
Once you feel that it's cooked from one side, it's time to flip it over.
With the help of a ladle, scrape it out from the sides and flip it.
Once it's cooked from both the sides, it's time to add the filling.
So now we will place the vegetable and paneer stuffing in it.
And now we will wrap it.
With the help of a ladle, press it a little so that it takes a shape.
And with this our paneer stuffed besan cheela is ready to be served.
Now you can take it out in a plate.
It's another great, delicious and protein rich breakfast option for you.
One serving of this means one paneer besan cheela has close to 200 calories,
75 grams of fat, 25 grams carbs and 11 grams of protein.
Meaning, it's tasty and healthy.
If you search on Google for the best vegetarian sources of protein,
you will find lentils.
But who eats lentils for breakfast?
Lentils are eaten at night.
So now we will use the leftover lentils from last night in the morning and make missi roti.
So guys, to make missi roti, I am going to use the leftover lentils from yesterday.
So I am taking the leftover lentils from yesterday from the fridge.
And now I am adding wheat flour and besan flour in a bowl.
We will add a little salt to it.
A little black pepper.
Carom seeds.
Asafoetida powder.
Grated ginger.
Chopped onion.
Chopped green chilli.
And coriander.
And now we will add the lentils to it.
That's it. Now we have to knead it and make a dough out of it.
First, we will mix the lentils and other ingredients in the flour.
In the beginning, you will find it a little rough and you may feel that you need to add water to it.
But as you knead it, it will become moist.
You can add more lentils as per your requirement.
But you won't need to add any water to this.
Now let's just knead the dough well.
In this step, the more you knead the ingredients, the better your missi roti will be.
Okay, so our dough is ready and now we can make missi roti out of it.
First, I am making pedas out of this dough.
Some people call it peda, some people call it lohi.
What do you call it? Tell me in the comments.
So now we will take one peda or one lohi.
We will apply a little dry flour on it.
And now we will roll it.
Normally, the way you roll chapati, you have to roll it in the same way.
We will put it on the tawa only after the tawa is hot.
And the way we cook normal roti, we have to cook it in the same way.
After cooking it well from both the sides, you can add ghee on it if you want.
And with this, our missi roti is ready.
You can enjoy it with pickle or curd.
Obviously, it tastes best when served hot and it's so delicious.
1 missi roti or approximately 45 gms missi roti has around 150 calories, 31 gms carb, 2 gms fat and 7 gms protein.
So guys, these were 7 protein-rich breakfast options for you.
