Hello everyone and welcome to my new video.
I'm at the hens right now and here you can see Da Vinci, who would like to take part in the video.
I have something to tell you today, because as you may have already guessed from the title,
the Mustang is coming today, or rather I'm picking up the Mustang Stuter at the airport.
Now you're probably wondering why I'm sitting around here and chilling.
I just got back from the tournament, had an exam with Solido at 8 o'clock today, that was a two-star M.
I can already tell you how it turned out, but of course the video will follow.
We had 62%, which I'm actually very satisfied with.
We weren't placed with that, but I don't think that's too bad now.
We haven't ridden that many two-star M's yet.
And that's why I'm pretty proud that it worked out reasonably well.
By the way, I also got lost, but you'll see that in the video.
Yes, today it's supposed to be about the Mustang.
It arrives this evening, I think around 6 p.m. at the airport.
Of course, we still have pre-discussions and stuff like that.
And then the horses will be loaded one after the other.
And those who live the furthest away are allowed to load first, of course.
And those who live closer later, so that those who have a further way can leave on time.
I think I'm the fourth last one.
And we're allowed to load around 10 p.m., if everything works out.
That means we're going into the night and then bring them home to the stable.
I'm already very excited.
I don't know if you all noticed what it will be called in the end.
You know that my sponsor is the Equi-team.
And on the Equi-team channels, i.e. Facebook page and Instagram profile,
there were postings where you could write down what name you suggest.
And the Equi-team then agreed on one, so to speak.
And that's Equi-team's Whisper.
So whisper is the English word for whisper.
And you are also welcome to read the explanation on the Equi-team pages
why it is now called Whisper in the end.
He's a little cute here, isn't he?
He wants to be cuddled by me now.
I don't really have time.
I have to tell you a little something here.
Mousie.
I'm so glad that Da Vinci has become a little more reliable.
He was really scary at the beginning.
Well, Equi-team's Whisper will be called Whisper.
And as I said in the last video, it comes to Brego and Beauty in the stable.
You may not have noticed that either.
Beauty is back.
There will also be a video for that.
It's also in Brego in the stable.
And yes, the ponies will be there together.
And one or the other had asked me in one of the last videos
that I tell you something about the Mustang Makeover again.
That's why I wanted to do that roughly now,
what it is at all and why it was brought to life and what the meaning behind it is.
So it is true that there are wild Mustangs in the USA.
There are even quite a few.
There are almost 70,000 Mustangs and wild donkeys in the free wilderness.
And unfortunately, these herds are multiplying so badly
and the area is not getting bigger,
so that there are now too many Mustangs for too little area
and above all for too little food.
Yes, that's Tino.
Yes, it was a great idea to shoot the video with the hens.
So unfortunately there are now too many Mustangs for too little area.
And since they keep multiplying,
the Americans have agreed that Mustangs are captured every year
and live in so-called capture stations.
These are areas that are encased,
where they are fed by humans,
where water is given to them,
so that their survival is ensured.
But they are no longer free,
but they live on such a limited area,
encased in groups, in panel areas.
And yes, they are not really bad there now,
because they have food to drink,
they can move, have social contact,
but that is of course something different than if they live in the wild.
And these Mustangs in the capture stations
are offered for adoption.
So if you want to have such a Mustang,
then you can take one with you,
if you still do a so-called adoption year.
So the Mustang has to be paid and fed for a year,
is also trained accordingly there.
That means it's all not that cheap now.
The Mustang in itself does not cost that much money,
because they are happy when they are free, so to speak.
But so that not a lot of Mustangs are bought
and all of them are brought to the slaughterhouse,
because of course there are many who think,
ah cool, buy cheap Mustangs
and then sell them for a lot of money as meat goods.
For this reason, so that this does not happen,
because otherwise you could just have them shot,
there is this adoption year,
that the one who wants to have a Mustang,
has to pay for it for a year,
with training and food and accommodation.
Because that still costs a lot of money.
And if you want to adopt such a Mustang in Germany,
then of course the whole flight and everything
also costs a lot of money.
So the import costs are very, very high.
That's why the Mustangs, after this event,
which we are doing here,
are very expensive for the autonomous consumer.
Expensive, so for a lot of money.
Because all these costs of the flight,
the training beforehand,
they had to be loaded,
that has to be paid for.
Well, what is the Mustang Makeover event?
This has been around for a long time in the USA.
That means an Extreme Mustang Makeover.
There it is about in 90 or 100 days
with his Mustang.
So you get a wild Mustang
and you should train it accordingly.
In the best case scenario.
In the Extreme Mustang Makeover in the USA,
it is about showing as much as possible
with his Mustang.
So who has done more,
he is also better and wins in the end.
So the Mustang that can do the most.
Of course, if you have a limited time,
that often goes at the expense of the animal.
That's why it's a bit different with the German Mustang Makeover.
It's about showing the most harmonious relationship
between horse and rider
or horse and man,
horse and trainer.
If the horse cannot be ridden
because the time has not allowed
because it was too much for the horse,
then you can also do the tasks
that you are supposed to show there.
In the final, you can also absorb on the ground.
You just get off or you don't even get up
and do the tasks on foot
and lead the horse.
That works too.
But I have to say,
last year at the German Mustang Makeover
everyone rode.
So it worked.
The Mustang Makeover
is an event to make the Mustangs
more popular here in Germany.
So there may be a few more people
who are considering to adopt one
from the USA, who may have the money
and like a legend.
It's a legendary horse,
the Mustang,
who would like to have something like that at home.
That's what the Mustang Makeover
is all about.
In addition, the final in Aachen
is also there to convey more knowledge.
There are also lectures and
trainer presentations.
You can take something with you
for the training with your own horse
at home and everything in the
sign of the Mustang.
I think that's roughly about the event.
At the moment,
about 70,000 horses are free-living
and about 45,000 horses are
free-living.
So a little less,
but still far too much.
Many also say that
they find the flight too stressful.
I have to say,
since the horses are still in the plane,
there are small videos all the time
on the Mustang Makeover Facebook page.
The horses just stand
in these transport boxes
in the plane.
They were not sedated,
so don't worry that no shindluder
has become a shindluder.
There is a trainer in the USA
who has been working with them
for the last few months or weeks,
that they let a halfter move in,
that they go with the person,
and that they also let themselves
be loaded.
Of course, some also say
that the horses are no longer raw,
but on the other hand,
we would not get them into the plane
or that they would get a nervous breakdown
or take the plane apart.
We will pick them up
this evening.
I'm already looking forward to it.
We'll leave at some point
and of course I'll report to you
and post photos and videos.
I always get a lot of questions
about whether I can post
something about Mustang.
But that's a bit of the point
of doing it,
that you can follow it.
Who wants to come to the final,
that's at the beginning of August,
there are still tickets for it,
not so many anymore.
There are still a few,
you can order them on the homepage
of the Mustang Makeover
or on the Facebook page.
I can give you the link
when I find it quickly
in the info box.
Thank you for watching,
stay tuned,
I'll report to you
when the Mustang Stute is there.
Take care, bye!
