Good morning. So today we're going to go check out Icon Sam. That's where they have an indoor
floating market. So we're going to go check that out and then afterwards we're going to
head to Chinatown, maybe grab some dinner there.
Right now we are looking for the BTS train station.
This is the M Quartier mall.
Alright, we got our BTS card. I guess we're getting out of here.
I would definitely get off the train station a little early and take the ferry to the Icon Sam.
I think it's a really cool experience and it drops us off right in front of the mall.
Here's our roti with banana and nutella. It's so intimidating. We're going to try the fried oysters.
So we got done with Icon Sam pretty late. The mall is so big that you need like a whole day's
worth to see everything. I don't even think we saw everything honestly. That was one of
the coolest malls we've been to. Oh my gosh. There are a bunch of lizards on the floor.
I was told that Chinatown is a must when you come to Bangkok
so I'm excited to see what they have here.
We waited in line for 15 minutes just to get these donuts but these are
apparently a must here. It's like fried donuts and like a custard sauce.
So last night we decided to extend our stay in Bangkok. We got another Airbnb. It's kind of more
in the northern area. So we just checked in and right now we're just walking around the neighborhood.
Seems like there's a lot more in this area.
This is papaya salad with noodles.
Shrimp paste rice.
Caramelized pork. That's really good.
Now the fish.
This whole complex is all cafes.
Our last Thai coffee. It's our last day in Thailand. I'm so sad I'm not ready to leave.
So right now we're at Terminal 21 which is another big mall in Bangkok.
Another giant food court. If you want to eat at the food court you need to make a cash card.
There's counters everywhere where you can put cash into this card and you can use it to purchase food.
Now we're heading to the Hollywood floor. Floor 6. Oh look at this.
How cute. We got the Oscar trophy right here. Oh how cute. There's an actual cinema in here.
If you want to come watch a movie on the 6th level. Right now we're waiting for the BTS train
because we're gonna head over to the Grand Palace. We need to get to Sanam Chai to get to the Grand Palace.
From the BTS we transfer to the underground train.
Interesting. This is the ticket for the underground train. It's a black
it's just a black plastic thing. Right now we're at Sekong Det and we need to get to Sanam Chai.
So that's nine stops. These are tickets for the Grand Palace. Each one was 500 bahts. I rented out
a skirt just because you can't wear shorts inside so be aware you can't wear tank tops or shorts.
at 6 p.m so we have about an hour to shop around. There's a ton of shops around here.
It's a great place to get souvenirs.
