Once upon a time, there lived a wise man who was the head of a small village's local administration.
People respected him for his wisdom, and many sought his advice.
His son, however, was lazy and spent his days sleeping and hanging out with friends.
No matter what his father said or did, the son remained unchanged.
As the years passed, the wise man grew older and began to worry about his son's future.
He felt the need to give his son something that would help him take care of himself and his family.
One day, he called his son and said,
You're no longer a kid. It's time to take responsibility and understand life.
I want you to find the true purpose of your life, and when you do, remember it always to lead a happy and joyful life.
He handed his son a bag containing four sets of clothes, one for each season, along with some raw food, grains, lentils, a little money, and a map.
Go and find a treasure, he said.
I've drawn a map to its location.
Excited, the son embarked on the journey to find the treasure.
He traveled far across borders, forests, plateaus, and mountains.
Along the way, he encountered various people.
Some helped him with food and shelter, while others tried to rob him.
He experienced changing landscapes and seasons, and despite not finding the treasure, he learned valuable skills to survive.
After two years, he returned home to his father.
Father, he said, I couldn't find the treasure, but the journey taught me so much.
I made friends, witnessed miracles, and learned to enjoy each moment.
His father hugged him and said, That's the real treasure, my son.
Life has no specific goal other than experiencing it and growing with it every single day.
The son understood the true meaning behind the journey and the treasure his father wanted him to find, the joy of living life to the fullest.
And from that day on, he embraced each moment with gratitude and happiness.
The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.
