黃頭鷺南飛今年比去年早了9天，在8月14日即現跡，預計九月下旬將達到高潮。最佳觀賞地點為，太興山莊、大地茶席、巧雲小棧 、朝夕茶廠、草本傳奇、泰興巖及嘉154鄉道9.5K處等地。

2023年9月17日當天大爆發，有30批7萬多隻黃頭鷺在太興村過境，9月18日則有5批總共上萬隻，9月19日也有30批一萬多隻黃頭鷺在太興村過境。萬鷺朝鳳最多曾經一天高達50批次黃頭鷺群飛過，從早上就開始沿著生毛樹溪谷成群飛翔盤旋，有如龍似虎南飛，此奇景美不勝收，令人目不暇給。依過去的經驗，最大值往往落在白露（今年為9月8日）與中秋（9月29日）兩個節氣前後。「萬鷺朝鳳」是個很值得的朝聖之旅。

Every autumn, hundreds of thousands of cattle egrets (黃頭鷺) descend upon Taixing Village (太興村) in Chiayi County’s Meishan Township in central Taiwan, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that attracts attention and admiration from both tourists and locals alike. This spectacular phenomenon in Taixing Village is commonly known as “Wan Lu Chao Feng” (萬鷺朝鳳).

The best spots to view this stunning spectacle are the Tai Xing Guesthouse (太興山莊), the Dadi Teahouse (大地茶席), the Qiaoyun Inn (巧雲小棧), the Chaoxie Tea Factory (朝夕茶廠), the Herballegend Teahouse (草本傳奇), the Taixingyan Temple (泰興巖), and the Chiayi Couty Highway No. 154 at the 9.5Km mark (嘉154鄉道9.5K處).

Based on past experience, the peak of the spectacular phenomenon could fall between the solar terms of White Dew (白露) (September 8) and Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋) (September 29) this year.
