The Parent Trap: Poll Finds Majority Believe Parenting is Harder Now Than A Generation Ago

Parenting has always been a challenging task, but according to a recent YouGov poll commissioned by UNICEF, 7 in 10 parents believe that it is harder to be a parent now than it was a generation ago. The survey found that rising living costs and the lack of affordable childcare were the most common reasons cited by parents for the increased difficulty. Additionally, three in five respondents expressed concerns about their mental health, with lower-income families being disproportionately affected. The poll results raise important questions about the future life chances of the next generation.
